We have a beautiful organic farm and a few spots for you to stay alongside (or in) our fields. You really get off grid here. We have water to fill up your tank and 30 amp electricity. There's wifi near the house. And for a small fee you can get wood for a campfire.
For swimming we recommend the beautiful beaches in Rondeau Park, only a few minutes away! Also, you can walk or cycle to town for an ice cream or groceries.

Located near Belle River in Essex County, our family-owned property offers a comfortable furnished bunkie, spacious camping among mature trees, open lawns, a small pond, and plenty of room to slow down.
It is a relaxed place to stay while visiting family or friends nearby, attending an event in the area, enjoying a fishing trip, or exploring the communities and attractions of Windsor-Essex.
Stay in the Bunkie
The bunkie is a spacious, open-plan cabin with sleeping, living, dining, and kitchen areas together under a warm wood ceiling. It offers more comfort than traditional camping while still providing the feeling of a casual country retreat.
The kitchenette includes hot and cold municipal water, a microwave, toaster oven, dishes, cookware, and a dining table. Guests also have access to a gas BBQ for outdoor cooking.
Just outside the cabin is an enclosed outdoor shower. A clean, self-contained outdoor washroom is shared by guests and includes a toilet, urinal, handwashing sink, mirror, lighting, ventilation, and running water.
Step outside to enjoy the surrounding lawn, mature trees, pond, and shaded gazebo. The setting is peaceful and rural, but you are still close enough to Belle River to pick up groceries, enjoy a meal out, or spend time along the Lake St. Clair waterfront.
Bring Your Tent or RV
Campers can choose a spot in the large treed area behind the pond, with room for tents and appropriately sized RVs.
Fresh municipal water is available in the camping area. There are no electrical or sewer hookups, so RV guests should arrive prepared for dry camping.
Several groups can be accommodated, although the number of bookings will be kept limited to preserve the space and relaxed atmosphere. The washroom is shared with other guests, and access routes and campsite locations can be selected after arrival.
Relax Here or Explore the Region
You could spend a quiet day on the property, sit beside the pond, read in the gazebo, cook outdoors, or enjoy an evening around the fire. The property also makes a convenient base for exploring Belle River, Lakeshore, and the rest of Essex County.
The Belle River waterfront offers a beach, pier, marina, walking areas, playgrounds, and a splash pad. Lake St. Clair is popular for boating, fishing, paddling, and waterfront recreation, with public marina and boat-launch facilities available in Belle River.
Farther south, guests can explore the Lake Erie shoreline and Essex County’s wine country. The Lake Erie North Shore region is home to more than 20 wineries, many located along scenic country roads near the lake.

My wife and I had a wonderful time. Sandra is an amazing host who greeted us on arrival and gave us a detailed run down of her farm and where we could walk to in the immediate area. She was available for questions and, being very knowledgeable of the area, she gave us so many options for things to do. It is a working farm and Sandra was quick to update us of anything happening that might have disturbed us. Sandra’s farm is beautiful and very well maintained and tidy. Even though the campsite is beside a barn and close to her residence it was still very private and peaceful. There is an abundance of birdlife, and butterflies and dragonflies were everywhere. There is a pollinator garden that attracts various birds, butterflies, bumblebees, bees, and other insects. I could go on but needless to say we would be happy to stay there again. Thank you to Sandra and her family.

Great place and layout. There was a movie at the drive in but it wasnt our genre so we went and hung out at the barn where he has a great concession stand and a pool table. When we got back to our pull through site we sat outside all night and couldn't even tell there was a movie on. Great host and hard worker. Definitely will go back and will tell my friends, 5 stars.

My toddler loved the playground, though the equipment was a little rundown.
Our site was in a lovely forested area and other patrons were friendly and considerate.
Fair warning, the campground is right next to the highway, so traffic can be heard at all hours of the day.

I fell in love with this island!! Tom was responsive and helpful. The site is residential but the neighbors are summer/seasonal cabins. The back part of the property is a field to buffer noise and add privacy. I really appreciated that there was electric and water available. It felt private to me as the neighbors were not there. Tom built a small adorable cabin on the property. It was shaded and good for tent camping. It is just off the road however very little road noise because the island is mainly bikes and golf carts. Beach was a five minute bike ride away and enjoyed biking to the winery as well as art store and restaurant for dinner. My dog and I had a great time. I wish we would’ve stayed three nights.!!

Overview
About
Point Pelee is one of Canada’s smallest national parks, but there’s still plenty to do. Head for “The Tip of Canada,” the country’s southernmost point, or swim at the sandy Lake Erie beaches. Canoe or kayak through the wetlands, stroll the Marsh Boardwalk, or look for monarch butterflies that migrate through the region. If you’re into bird watching, try spotting some of the nearly 400 species that have been identified nearby. While there’s no tent or RV camping within Point Pelee National Park, you can stay in one of 24 oTENTik platform tents.

Tips for snagging a campsite
- Set on wooden platforms, each of the oTENTiks at Point Pelee National Park can sleep up to six people. Located at Camp Henry north of the park visitor centre, the oTENTiks have two queen beds, one double bed, and an interior sitting area. Outside, there’s a gas BBQ, food storage locker, and picnic table with washrooms nearby.
- Reserve your oTENTik on the Parks Canada reservations site, which opens for Point Pelee in mid-January. Book as soon as possible if you’re staying spring through fall. The park and oTENTiks are open year-round.
When to go
For birding, come to Point Pelee in spring, particularly in May when migrating birds stop over in the region and the park hosts an annual bird-watching festival. Spring is the park’s busiest season, so book accommodations in advance. To spot monarch butterflies, which travel through the area from late August into early October, visit in the fall. Because this Canadian park is close to the U.S. border, it’s particularly busy during both U.S. and Canadian holiday weekends.
Know before you go
- Allow about four hours to drive to the park from Toronto, or roughly an hour, plus time to cross the border, from Detroit. Windsor, Ontario, is the nearest “major” city.
- You can buy groceries and other supplies in Leamington or Kingsville, just outside the park. A small shop in the park’s Camp Henry Campground Office sells sunscreen, snacks, and other essentials.
- From spring through fall, you can’t drive to “the Tip,” the narrow spit of land that marks Canada’s southernmost point. Take the free shuttle from the Visitor Centre, walk, or bike instead.
- Like wine? The Essex County wineries are just outside the park.

Amazing Park!
You should visit Point Pelee National Park earlier to see the sunrise and watch the view of sunset, it’s so amazing. All parks inside are beautiful. Bring enough foods and drinks to stay as long as possible because when you leave the place, you may not go back because the waiting line is too long.

A must-see site if you’re anywhere in the southern Ontario / Detroit area. Sweeping views of Lake Erie, numerous walking trails, a very cool observation platform at the point, and of course bountiful wildlife. Worth a half-day excursion - esp. off season (we went end-March on a sunny Friday and only encountered a handful of people).
