Beautiful spot for a quiet weekend with friends! Very private spot. Just the rest we needed. Your directions were clear to the property, we appreciated the detailed map. The firewood was a treat. We slept great, the mattresses in the A-frame are super comfy! We heard an owl at night and a whipperwill the next morning. The hiking trail behind the campsite was a sweet little meander through your woods. Thank you for having us!

I loved this campground, it was private, the campground was easy to locate with the directions provided. The host was great at communicating and provided some firewood.

Amazing views! Such a peaceful site. Please advise the host’s warnings about the road up and requiring AWD. We had a member of the group slide backwards and had to call a tow.
The road is steep, but the views at the site are worth it!

Chanterelle - Primitive Campsite
Chanterelle was an excellent site. Flat land on an otherwise very hilly terrain. A picnic table was provided; a fire pit was already in place. Free firewood was available, as well. Very welcome bonus.
The latrine was beautifully built and exceptionally clean. It even had a stick broom to make sure there were no spider friends visiting you while you did your business. ☺️
The area was incredibly private. The only thing we heard were dogs a long way off. If someone would have been camping at Fern, the closest site to Chanterelle, we would have heard each other periodically, I'm sure.
We hiked the roads of the property which was plenty of exercise for us due to the steepness and the length.
We travel by minivan, so getting to the property was a bit intimidating because we don't have 4WD, but our minivan handled it. We would not have been able to traverse to highest campsite, but their instructions clearly say the one at the top of the mountain is for four-wheel vehicles only.
The instructions for everything about this experience were very clear. Every time I had a question, the reply was prompt and courteous. I cannot say enough good things about our experience here.

Big Rock campsite was incredible!! The most stunning views, plenty of space for tents, a lovely rock fire ring, two picnic tables, and the incredible bonus of firewood available to use!
Also super nice to have the pit latrine nearby! The drive up is a bit intense, especially with the loose gravel. So I’d say you definitely need all wheel drive! We loved the hiking trails, though some of the signs in the trail were a bit confusing we found our way back around eventually!
You’re not close to any water source, so keep that in mind, but otherwise what a stunning spot!

Beautiful campsite! Loved the privacy at chanterelle - fern campsite is around the corner and you could probably hear people, but definitely can't see them. Loved that firewood was provided as well, and it was absolutely gorgeous with all the fall leaves! Our dogs had a wonderful time.

We loved everything about Big Rock at Green Haven! The site was perfect and the view is beautiful. We appreciated the privacy and our dogs loved being able to run around off-leash. We will definitely be back!

The hosts were incredibly kind and helpful! We got stuck trying to make it up the mountain, and they went out of their way to help us and quickly set us up with a lower campsite instead. The site was beautiful and peaceful, and their hospitality made the whole experience so much better. Highly recommend!

It was secluded and private. Very peaceful and relaxing. The trails were well maintained and nice. Being able to have our dog off leash was great! She enjoyed it so much 😊 The host was very friendly and responsive. Definitely a place I would take the family again!

We had a group of 13 tent camp at big rock and it was the perfect space. Susanne was very helpful and the directions were clear. This turned out to be an awesome trip with incredible views!

Fantastic campsite! Private and secluded, plenty of room to spread out and gorgeous. Absolutely loved staying here and will be coming back. It’s a steep drive up to the top so make sure you have 4WD but nothing too crazy. Well worth the trip.

Susanne’s place was perfect for a weekend of camping! She was super friendly and accommodating, and responded quickly to walk me through when I had trouble finding the property. The property was very secluded and quiet, the campsite was well stocked with firewood and the fully enclosed privy was a nice added touch! Perfect spot for a peaceful off-the-grid getaway, but there was decent cell service if needed (ATT). Thanks so much again for hosting me on such a short notice! Will definitely be back

We had the best time camping at Big Rock! It is a really wonderful spot for group camping. The site was lovely, as was the view, and having the clean outhouse was so nice! The site felt very private yet not too far from civilization should we need anything. I would highly recommend Bog Rock campsite and definitely plan on coming to camp again!

This is a fantastic site! He loved how remote it was! The views from the mountain top were great on the hike and at the sight. The trail was awesome! 4WD was definitely necessary getting up to Big Rock. The peace and quiet was lovely, except for some people shooting guns nearby, which did not really bother us and is just part of being in the country. We brought our own wood but there was some waiting for us when we arrived. Overall I would highly recommend this spot for groups or solo camping. We will definitely be back!

The campsite was gorgeous and pretty secluded. Everything was as described and it was a lovely stay. There was plenty of firewood nearby, a decent fire ring, and a nice picnic table. I couldn’t hear any car traffic, but there were a few planes that went overhead. Overall, awesome spot!
The road was a little rutted and close with vegetation, so we had a bit of trouble getting in without scratching her car.

This campsite was perfect! The area is beautiful and private. It was so nice to have a small stream next to the site for our dogs to drink from. Much better than a campground!

I loved camping with my friends and family on Susanne’s land. We were able to pull our cars right up to a short driveway leading to the campsites. We brought our wagon to carry some gear to the sites, but it wasn’t a long walk at all. Our dog was able to explore nearby, off-leash, which was so fun for her! Our children had a ton of fun playing in a nearby stream, building forts and looking for critters. The flora was beautiful, loads of rhododendrons. Susanne and Patrick have taken time to blaze a few trails on their property. They are well-Marked. Overall, a great time was had by all!
