Site 5 - Warrumbungles Mtn Motel Campground
We stayed here as a quick stop on our road trip to stargaze at one of the local observatories. Even during holiday season you there was only a few caravans in site, so you could set up 100+ metres away from other campers, the only thing you have to mind is the walk to the toilet if you are not self efficient. All in all a great stop over.

Great open space with plenty of room. The venue also has a pool and motel accommodation, so is very well equipped. Check-in was straightforward and we had no issues. Would recommend.

Very Happy campers
Very large open area. Grassy walk to the amenities. Great place to view the stars and planets at night.
Very peaceful and not far from the observatories. Could stay there for a month instead of 2 days.

We camped on the grounds in our little motorhome. Our first hip camp. What a beautiful, peaceful spot. We could hear and see the river flowing, the paddock was green and nice and firm under tires. Hosts were lovely and came to check that we were ok.

Beautiful, spacious and clean campgrounds. Has great facilities. Excellent location to explore Warrumbungles NP. Sally had great communication and we felt really looked after by Sally.

Exceeded expectations
We had a great time camping here. Exceeded expectations. Very spacious- you can choose where to camp.
There is a motel, kids playground, pool, BBQ area, fire pit & 2 functions areas.
Only downside was the bathroom often ran out of toilet paper.

Dark Sky Camping
Loads of flat grassy space to suit any type of camping. A short drive to Coonabrabran or the Warrumbungles you can’t loose. Great for star ⭐️ gazing

Lovely quiet and well spaced sites half way between town and the breath taking Warrumbungles. Nice hot showers and good facilities but they are on the opposite side to the camp sites where we were so a bit of a walk. We would stay again but would try to be closer to facilities.

Good showers and toilets. But annoying as the camping area did not have phone coverage. Also I thought it was $20 per night but I paid 52 for 2 nights

Quiet well spaced sites on a large grassy area between the motel and the river. Basic shower/toilet facilities. Very close to National Park and a good camping option just out of Coonabarabran.

Plenty of space so we didn’t have to camp too close to others. Central location for access to highlights of the national park and beyond and close to Coonabarabran if shopping required. On site pool and swings etc amused the children in between activities. Highly recommend.

Good location lots of space
Lots of space to choose a campsite. There were 6-7 other campers there whilst we were there but plenty of space for everyone. Certainly didn’t feel cramped. Toilet and showers were good and worth the walk. Great base to explore the region. Wish we’d been able to stay longer.

Peaceful stay with van and dog
After staying at several big commercial caravan parks packed with row after row of caravans, when we arrived at Sally’s we felt like we had gone to heaven. This was the type of camping we wanted to do. 25 acres to find a spot to park, wander around , swim in the creek, (or the pool) and totally relax. We had a powered spot, far away from everyone else. the toilets and showers were immaculately clean. The hosts were very helpful and friendly. Coonabarabran was down the road with coffee shops, Woolworths, boutiques and friendly vibes. And we were able to take our dog.

We had lovely time here. The pool, trampoline, connect four and large open space were perfect for the kids. It was also a great place to base ourselves for walking in the national park and astronomy activities.

Very nice property! Pool for kids
Camping area was very large and spacious. Setup in a nice shady afternoon spot. The grounds of the property were well maintained and great for a walk with the dog. Very relaxing.
Pool was a hit with the kids, especially as it had a slide. Ammenities we’re spotlessly clean and very good.
Great location to the Siding Spring Observatory, Warrumbungles and town.

Beautiful scenery
We booked last minute to stay here (just overnight) and so glad we did! What a beautiful place to relax, look at the stars and wake up to in the morning!! Sally confirmed within about 2 hours and we were able to just pull up and park our van wherever we wanted in the lovely big grass area. There were probably 5 other campers set up do we all had lots of room and privacy.
The walk to toilets/showers was a bit long but with the scenery of the grounds, I didn’t mind the walk one bit and they were clean and tidy!
Would definitely stop here again if going past.

Great camping stop at a very reasonable price. Perfectly situated near Warrumbungles. Having the amenities block was an extra perk. The owners were lovely too.
