Slocan Lake and Valhalla Provincial Park is visible from the property. This is an off grid Homestead. Humble living working towards sustainability. We provide fresh potable water for drinking and washing We have three golden retrievers on the property in 45 chickensThis is a very plain and simple spot at the bottom of our hill - there is a decent view of the Valhalla mountain Range and the lake. You poop in a 23 liter pickle bucket or use an old outhouse. We provide a fresh water jug or you can bring your own. The water we drink is direct from the creek. You are welcome to go where ever you like on the property - you do not have to stay at your site - we have dogs - but they are gentle and often entertaining. They can be put inside. They also protect you from wildlife so you can sleep safe.

We had such a great time camping out here on this off grid place. It was so quiet and peaceful out there, truly a beautiful piece of land. Ian and Marie were very generous and I loved their cute doggies! We plan to come back once again ☺

Wild Flower Hill
If you like getting some Kootenay vibes then this is a great spot. Perched up on the side of a mountain, you have an expansive view of the north end of the Slocan Valley and the lake. Town is but a few minutes away and many hidden away beaches and fishing spots await to be explored close at hand. I drove a 15’ trailer up there with no issues but I have a good 4x4 and the trailer is sorta off road. Definitely only recommend small trailers with a 4x4 with 4 low, otherwise happy tenting! Host is very helpful and available.
