Cabine Luciole is a heritage Sugar Maple Cabin built in the late 1800's. It is located in an mossy, old growth maple forest with towering majestic maple trees. It is built on a leyline by Irish (Erin) settlers, giving it powerful energy to rejuvinate. You can also walk the cretan labyrinth, to bring balance.
catherdral tin roof cabin has enough space for dinning, entertaining and yoga, it also has a sleeping loft for 2 people, and can be used as a reading nook, bring your own sleeping bags, pillows, and towels and you are welcome to set up a tent on the outdoor camping site. There is a heated full pressure shower, compost toilet and an outdoor sink and cooking station. The site is booked for complete privacy, only one group booking at a time, so you have your own private spot in the woods. There is a fireplace in the cabin with plenty of wood. The floor is mostly nature stepping stones, hand picked from the woods. The cabin is nestled in a moss and fern magical woods with fireflies, owls, deer, and foxes. There are groomed peaceful walking trails. A sphere shaped cooking outdoor fireplace under firefly solar lights adds to the magical experience. There are wonderful activates such as fishing, kayaking (Safari Kayak) and bike trails in the local area. Go back in time and experience the rare wisdom of the sugar maple trees that are over 150 feet tall. You will never want to leave, come back and see the trees colourful splendor in the fall and in early spring we plan to have hands on maple syrup making.

ACCÈS À LA RIVIÈRE ET AU LAC
La yourte se situe au bord de la rivière. Vous aurez un accès exclusif à la berge et ses installations (rond de feu, table à pique-nique, tipi suspendu, hamacs). L'eau coule à travers les rochers. La rivière est plus creuse à certains endroits. L'été, on peut s'y immerger complètement et nager (baignade non surveillée).
Le lac Chantelle lac se trouve à une quinzaine de minutes de marche, à l'extérieur du site. On y accède par une petite plage gazonnée partagée avec les résidents du lac.

MÉNAGE AUTONOME ET GESTION DES DÉCHETS
La formule autonome vous permet de profiter des lieux plus longtemps le jour de votre départ (vous pouvez rester jusqu’à 14h).
Vous vous chargez de laisser le lieu aussi propre que vous l’avez trouvé (laver et ranger la vaisselle utilisée, passer l'aspirateur, etc.).
Au refuges Le torrent, nous avons à coeur de minimiser l'impact écologique de la présence humaine au sein de la forêt. Tout au long de votre séjour, nous vous invitons à faire le tri de vos déchets: les matières recyclables dans le bac de recyclage à l'intérieur de la yourte, les matières compostables dans le bac à compost à quelques pas à l'extérieur de la yourte.
ARRIVÉE ET DÉPART
L’arrivée se fait de façon autonome. L’emplacement des clés vous sera communiqué la veille de votre séjour.
L’arrivée est possible dès 16h et le départ au plus tard à 14h.
PARKING ET TRAJET JUSQU’À LA YOURTE
Le stationnement est gratuit. Il y a 10 minutes de marche entre le stationnement et la yourte, le long d’un sentier pédestre. Deux brouettes sont disponibles sur place en été, et un traineau en hiver. Vous les trouverez dans le stationnement.

The Torrent yurt offers a view of a cascading river. It is a cozy cocoon nestled in the heart of the forest. Enjoy your morning coffee by the fire, go for an afternoon canoe ride on Lake Chantelle, and gaze at the stars through the glass dome in the evening before drifting off to sleep to the soothing sound of the river.

ACCESS TO THE RIVER AND LAKE
The yurt is located right by the river. You will have exclusive access to the riverbank and its amenities (fire pit, picnic table, hanging tipi, and hammocks). The water flows over rocky terrain, with deeper sections in certain areas. In summer, you can fully immerse yourself and swim (unsupervised swimming).

✓ 2 single beds that convert into a comfortable king-size bed (the two singles lock together, leaving no gap or wooden bar in the middle);

SELF-CLEANING AND WASTE MANAGEMENT
The self-cleaning option allows you to enjoy the premises longer on your departure day (you may stay until 2:00 PM).
You are responsible for leaving the space as clean as you found it (washing and putting away used dishes, vacuuming, etc.).
At Refuges Le Torrent, we are committed to minimizing the ecological impact of human presence in the forest. Throughout your stay, we ask that you sort your waste: place recyclables in the bin inside the yurt and compostables in the compost bin located just a few steps outside.
ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE
Check-in is self-service. You will receive information regarding key access the day before your stay.
Check-in is available from 4:00 PM, and check-out is by 2:00 PM at the latest.
PARKING AND WALK TO THE YURT
Parking is free. It is a 10-minute walk from the parking area to the yurt along a footpath. Two wheelbarrows are available on-site in summer, and a sled in winter; you will find them in the parking area.

The outdoor shower is only available during late spring, summer,r and early fall, only once there are no frost warnings.
During the colder months, we provide equipment for hand washing inside the dome. You will heat your water via the kettle in the kitchenette and have a basin to hand-wash.

We had a wonderful stay at Camp in Rouge! Camping was so effortless without the hassle of packing tons of supplies—all we needed to bring were our clothes and food. Rae is an incredibly friendly and welcoming host who instantly made us feel right at home. She gave us clear, detailed directions to the secret waterfall, which turned out to be a major highlight—our son had an absolute blast!
P.S. My husband is still raving about the brownies from the bake sale!

This little camp has all the amenities you need! Every corner you look is jam packed with details to make your stay better! The cabin was clean and comfortable. Woodstove and space heater for cold nights, fan for warm nights, TV and wifi for rainy nights! The mini fridge was an asset for us! The modular beds were convenient. Fully stocked with cooking/dinning gear, card and board games, extra blankets, and drinking water! Outside there are two options for a fire: a firepit and also a woodstove. There is a BBQ and smoker, a mosquito netted dining area, and all the grills and tools you could need! Rea was a wonderful host! She gave clear instructions for checkin, was very welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed! She was knowledgeable about the area and surrounding nature, and gave great suggestions on where to walk and fish.

What an awesome trip ! Rae has a cute little set up and everything you need to have a good stay. We overpacked because we weren't sure what she'd have, but let me tell you, she actually does have everything!
My only suggestion for campers coming is to maybe bring your own chairs if you like something a bit more comfy than Rae has set up, but this doesn't affect my rating or anything - just thought that others might like to know!

Super cute micro cabin, we really liked our stay. Good for 2 people (one person max on each little bed) the indoor fire Pitt worked really well and kept us warm all night. Mugs, a few plates, & cooking pots were available as well as portable drinking water. A dry bathroom on lacation with toilet paper and soap to wash your hands. Nathalie was very kind and accommodating and has a very big and adorable dog protecting the area. He is very friendly and comes say Hi to you upon arrival. We loved his company. Wood is available for purchase and delivery. A wood BBQ and piknic table are on location. Chickens are roaming around which was a nice little touch :) we enjoyed our stay. Thank you!

We had a wonderful stay at Nathalie’s, in Jake’s Camp. I had seen a few reviews mention a lack of privacy, but that wasn’t our experience at all. There is a central field with a couple of other cabins and RVs, but the cabin itself feels very private. The windows open toward the forest, so from inside you’re surrounded by trees rather than looking out at other campers.
And the stars at night were incredible. It’s a beautiful, peaceful spot and a wonderful place to unplug and enjoy the woods. We’d happily stay again.

I came here with my two kids and we had a blast! Rae was so friendly, very kind, down to earth and accomodating. I booked last late and last minute, due to unforseen circomstances with another place. She got back to me instantly. Cabin was nice and cozy and perfect for the three of us. We had a blast exploring the forest, foraging for mushrooms, having a fire, relaxing. She has a sweet daughter, the kids played with. There is a river right across the street, and a breathtaking waterfall a 2 min drive away! There is wifi on site and a tv in the cabin. There is a zip up kitchen tent as well.
Lovely cute place with great people.
I made a new friend, and so did my kids.

Note that the cabin itself isn’t very private, and there are windows on 3 sides (including at the bunks, and there isn’t a curtain on any of them) so it’s hard to change

The stove is small and burns for around 1 hour when full
