This beautiful spot was re-forested with pine a number of years ago, and was sectioned off from the surrounding farmland, which is now maintained by the mennonite community. It is 8 1/2 acres of wetland and forest, with a mown perimeter, and cool places to tuck into the forest for the night. The current owner was a special educator, and now is slowly turning the land into her homestead. There is a beautiful, spa quality outdoor shower next to a tidy and 'fancier than most' outhouse, a strawberry patch as well as wild alpine strawberries all over the property, a big dog and a small indoor cat keep her company. Here is what the land offers: -Bunkie in the Forest: A sweet 8x8 ft. space with new bunk and mattresses as of April 2023 -Strawberry Fields bunkie: an 10x12 space with a loft with a queen memory foam mattress and a main floor with a full futon and a small table -Campsites: Meadow, Forest and River spots. Close to each other, but you'd never know it! All three are chill and serene places. The property backs onto a ten-foot swimming hole in an otherwise shallow part of the Saugeen River. -RV Spot: With electric hook up ideal for RVs 30 feet and under -a connection to the organization, 'Black Folks Camp Too'! Welcome to Laurenwood Farm! New for 2024: Due to health reasons the farm is fallow this season. It is still a quiet, peaceful escape to the country and you can enjoy all of the amenities but there will be no veggie boxes this season and there are fewer animals to visit. We do have some items available such as honey and syrup. The farm is a 100-acre working livestock and organic mixed produce farm with picturesque views, miles of wooded trails, and a beautiful little fish pond. Fresh organic veggies and farm-fresh eggs are available seasonally. Guests are welcome to wander the trails, check out the pond and gardens, and have a guided tour to experience meeting the animals. Nearby are several conservation areas and access to the Bruce Trail. Walking, biking or horseback riding is very pleasant on the quiet country roads around. There are many local fairs and festivals in the surrounding villages, such as the Beeton Honey Festival and Tottenham Bluegrass Festival. We have three different listings, a cottage, a barn loft, and a tent/RV site. We look forward to hosting you!

The forest is a bird watcher’s and nature lover’s paradise. I have developed miles of flat groomed trails and a 3-acre pond (plus several bush ponds). The sites are spread around the pond and are close but not right beside it. There is an abundant amount of wildlife to explore: birds, reptiles, amphibians, fish, insects and mammals call this home. There is a small swimming hole on the island but otherwise the pond is full of aquatic life. The sites and trails are maintained all year long and the forest is quiet and beautiful. I have planted over 3000 trees with the help of the Severn Sound Environmental Association. The forest is registered as a managed woodlot with the province and habitat preservation/restoration is the priority goal. Please DO NOT bring firewood for your visit. I have large bags of cured firewood that was sustainable harvested from the forest available. Invasive insects and disease can be transferred from imported wood. Guests are welcome to quietly explore the forest trails but are asked to stay on the trail. Many birds and animals nest in the forest. My campsite is family-friendly (and pet-friendly), and 420 friendly too. Guests can easily drive up to and park at all campsites. My camp site is tolerant and respectful of all humans, animals and things. The Yurtle structures were built from Hemlock trees that were cut from this forest and processed into boards, then engineered into unique camping huts. Large windows capture the glory of the surrounding forest and sun sets, while wood stoves warm campers on those cold days/nights. Pitch your tent on the hilltop plateaus with lake and sunset views (zone 8 or 9). Or your Hammock in Zone 6 under the trees. Pit toilet available (zone 7). Power is available along with the use of the common deck and BBQ area in (zones 3 and; 4). Includes Outdoor Hot Shower Stall and Sink. Rent the Indoor loft space (zone 2), with 2x double air mattress, power, TV, fridge, dishes, air fryer, kettle, toaster, microwave, and hot plate. Power up your Van or RV (zone 1) with outdoor plugs, and park on the newly created flat drive area. For the more athletic, hike up to the cleared forest edge in zone 10 or get really rustic in zone 11 hike into the bush for some natural Bush floor camping. There is a table fire pit (propane) for you to use and enjoy responsibly; as Muskoka always has a fire ban on in the summer. There are 27 acres of beautiful Muskoka bush for you to explore and enjoy. If you’re feeling adventurous you can hike around the surrounding forest; stay within the property boundaries and you will discover the hydro cut and its valley view, the ravine, the waterfall, and a footpath that leads to a bridge at the back of the lot. Or simply just relax and enjoy the soundings and view from the sitting rocks. The public beach for swimming is a quick walk down Beach Road. It has a large dock, picnic tables, grassy area along with an portapotty. Or check out the sandbar and drop off at the boat launch at the end of the road. The lake has a diverse shoreline and perfect for small boats and kayaks. You have acres right off your campsite to over 60 acres of rugged trails so wear some good boots ! This site can accommodate up to 6 people comfortably. One load of firewood provided - follow on wood is 7.00 a bag. We have many animals on site to visit before you check out, these include chickens, turkeys, duck, bunnies, cows, and many horses, including miniature ponies. Chairs also provided. A beautiful and accessible but secluded spot! Great for a relaxed car camping experience. The host was helpful and responsive. Fire pit and provided chairs/picnic tables were all in excellent condition. Bathroom also excellent and clean. 10 / 10 would camp again!

Wonderful setup and lovely location. Up on a hill surrounded by trees giving lots of privacy. Great clean and cozy outhouse/washroom facility. Lots of seating provided with brand new picnic tables for adults and kids. I am an avid kayaker and the Black River is just steps away. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay and hope to be back again.

Lisa's property was amazing! Lots of room, beautiful view of everything. Saw deer every day! Loved the outhouse, we are used to privies at Algonquin but the outhouse was way better - especially with the rain we had. She was great with communication and even checked to make sure we were ok after a big gusty windy rainy period of time. We will definitely be back! Thanks so much Lisa.

This was one of our favourite Hipcamps. The lake was busier than we are used to but it was a long weekend so totally expected. We appreciated the private feel of the campsite being nestled in our little corner and we customized the site with tarp shelters and a hammock to lay about in the afternoons. The night sky was gorgeous with the moon and the sound of waves to keep us company. One should keep in mind that there are elevation changes at the site that could prove challenging for some. I was able to portage our canoe down to the water and back up to our vehicle but the pitch through the trees and down to the beach could prove tricky. Overall, we liked the secluded, civilized-rustic feel of the space: not Crown Land but sounds of the forest gave it a wild feel.

We had a really good time camping here. There's another site but it's not close enough that you can hear or see them. We enjoyed being able to take our kayaks out into the lake although we didn't catch a single fish or even see life in the lake.

The views are spectacular any time of day!!! Lisa is a friendly, flexible host who took the time to take the children to visit the cows and their guard donkey. You can enjoy the gorgeous water especially if you throw in a kayak to skirt over the weeds and algae, that are bursting with freshwater mussels, btw! We did this and enjoyed a successful evening of fishing, swimming and paddling! The set up is perfect! Even the outhouse comes with a view and is interesting condition!

This place is amazing. Nice flat spot to setup camper. Although there was a fire band on the fire pit look amazing with lots of gravel and stone around. Hopefully next next we can use it. The outhouse was amazing so clean and fresh with the pine shavings for the toilet. Made it smell nice.

Loved camping at Coutts Farm. Watching the deer and turkey wander the fields. Feels super secluded only 2 camp sites. The one next to me was hidden by a hill feels like no one is around. Farmland in front lake close behind. My dog loved the freedom of the country and swimming in the lake. Very peaceful. Highly recommend.

We were on site #1 for a week. We were joined by 2 more couples with a large fifth wheel & a tent trailer. We were in a 24ft trailer and we had more than enough space for us all. We had more than enough sun for our solar panels to generate electricity for our units. This was a perfect spot to hang out, use the water/beach front. Water is warm but weedy, (the whole lake is) but once you paddled out it was good for swimming.We met Lisa when we arrived and got the lay of the land. You are definitely in the middle of nowhere, which is what we were all looking for. We are already thinking about next year’s visit.

I loved camping with my Grand Caravan on Ivan‘s land at The Hive site. It was easy to access yet very peaceful. A great sunrise and sunset full of nature sounds. It’s a sunny site but perfect for going off to one of the Georgian Bay beaches during the hottest times of day. When I arrived Ivan also said I could camp further back in the fields if I wished. Ivan was friendly and helpful and there were wonderful fresh berries for sale. Everything was as described or as shown in the pictures.
