Fifthwind farm is located high on a hilltop in Northumberland county. Our farm is only 10 minutes north of Cobourg yet feels tranquil and remote. The view is spectacular…on a clear day New York State is visible.
Our Bunkie is fully insulated and cozy on cold winter nights. The Northumberland Forest is quite close and it offers many cross-country ski trails.
Because of the cold weather, our outdoor shower it’s not operable during the winter months. The Bunkie does not have running water, but water is provided, and the sink can still be used.
There is a large bonfire area on our farm, (a little bit away from the Bunkie) also a play area for kids including zip line, boat structure, sand box, swing, above ground pool and trampoline; gorgeous circular organic garden with seating area and a small orchard. Visit a few of local restaurants both on the lake or off or drive into Peterborough in the summer for the free Music fest concerts in the park on Weds & Saturday nights.
Close to the road with cottage traffic during the day but quiet at night. We have security cameras at the entrances to our home however the area you set up in is up the hill and is private.
Forested property so be alert for poison ivy & ticks.

My campsite is available to book in the spring, summer and fall!
I have two sites for tent and RV/trailer campers. The site is a spacious open field adjacent to large wetlands and a scenic forest trail. We have a toilet, picnic table, potable water, wifi, and cell reception. Generators allowed, no hookups.
Campfires are permitted and pets are welcome.
I have many extras available to add to your reservation i.e. breakfast in bed, fresh coffee or tea, laundry, etc. Please add to your reservation at the time of booking or message me and we can figure out the details.
Quiet, peaceful and relaxing area 5 minutes from Stoney Lake, High Falls and the Petroglyphs.
Only 5 minutes away by car to Quarry Bay Beach and close enough to Havelock, Norwood or Lakefield that you can easily get supplies, do some fun activities or just get something to eat!

Beautiful 40 acres of farm fields and another 110 acres of forested land, on a privately owned spring fed lake. 3 minute beautiful walk to the water. Abundance of trails for walking and hiking, which lead you through the property and along the lake shore. Many outdoor activities including kayaking, canoeing, or catch and release fishing, of some of the cleanest fish around. Kayak rental available. Although the shoreline is not swimmable you can swim in the middle of the lake. Take in a campfire by your trailer or down by the lake shore, while enjoying s'mores or sipping on local wine, and watching fish jump. Wake up to the call of a Loon and possibly seeing deer in the field. This is not just a place to camp, but a place to make memories. Located 45 mins from the Sandbanks, and central to provincially awarded wines and tarts. Visit local farmers markets and dairies for fresh curd. This is our small parcel of paradise and we welcome you to share it with us.

We loved Elana’s land. It was definitely one of the most memorable camp ground. Host are very nice people and gave us free animals and farm tour. I highly recommend this place for family camping, group camping, and even kids farm birthday party.

Elana and family were wonderful hosts! I booked a few days just to “get away” and reset, and this was a perfect spot to do so. The animals (mini donkeys, oh my goodness!, the goat who welcomed me alongside Elana, the ducks that swam around the pond…) and the “Enchanted Forest” were highlights. I would have stayed longer (much longer!) if I could, and hope to be back next year… maybe to see baby donkeys or Highland cows? :) Thanks so much for a lovely weekend.

I had a lovely stay! Renee was kind (even though I mistook her for another camper!) and understanding, and the place was exactly what I was looking for for this visit: quiet and all to myself! The washrooms were clean and spacious, the crickets and birdsong and crackling fire were the only company I needed. I would absolutely return for another visit.

The 30 amp hydro service and direct line, excellent drinking water were great features of our very enjoyable stay. The level gravel parking site was ideal.
The well manicured property, mature trees and terrific views of rolling farmland lend itself to relaxation and tranquility, a very good place to “get away from it all”

Woody and Elana were the kindest and most welcoming hosts, their camping area was absolutely stunning with the peaceful sounds of nature and animals. Their home and farm was the cutest and they have fresh eggs for sale which were amazing too! If you’re considering where to go camping I would wholeheartedly recommend camping here! Our family loved it. The quarry pond was way colder than expected but looks so clean and worth the freeze. Goats and chickens do roam but have their preferred spot, so you know where to find them.
Not very private, you can see and hear all your neighbours, but the couple that run the place are nice!

We had an amazing time, reflecting and relaxing. We stayed by the water and it was really beautiful listening to the water. The farm tour was awesome, I even got the help feed the pigs 🐷 which was really a highlight for me as they are one of my favourite animals. The donkey is the cute and so good looking and very well mannered. Frenchie and dumpling and the other goats are free range and super friendly! So many animals all well behaved! The cows were beautiful! Everything was beautiful and brings you back to earth! I would recommend this place anyone who loves animals and nature! If you don't like nature this place isn't for you, as you can meditate and reflect on your life to become one with nature.
The family is super knowledgeable and very welcoming. I feel like they welcomed my partner and our dog in as apart of there family for the weekend!
Just remember to bring a camping toilet and a table.
This place deserves a 10 star rating out of 5!!!!

We had a terrific time camping by the lakeside. Cory and Heather upgraded us to the lakefront site and it couldn't have been more perfect for us. We went kayaking, swimming and hiking. Forest is full of dry wood for fires and offers privacy like no other place we've been. Loved it, 10/10 we will be back!

The owner was very helpful in helping us plan our trip to Toronto, printing out maps so we could visit the beautiful places in Toronto. A truly beautiful place with a warm welcome.
