Only the country cabin you can drive right up to the cabin or our lodge cabin. The rest of the rentals you MUST WALK to. No big hills. Super quiet spot in nature. Unplug and reconnect with nature and each other. Leashed dogs are welcome. No cats allowed inside any rentals. Please do not bring animals who are known to be unfriendly towards humans and; other animals. From may 1 to Oct 30 , we have a seasonal flush toilet. Just a 15-minute walk to restaurants, shopping, theatre, and the beach—you’ll be close enough to enjoy the fun, yet far enough away to relax in peace and quiet. The bungalow features a queen-sized memory foam mattress, a seating area with a table and chairs, and its own covered deck. Outside, you’ll find a two-person hot tub overlooking the hill—a beautiful spot for stargazing! Plus a cute outdoor hot shower! (April through October) The bathroom includes a Think Tank compost toilet and a sink with cold running water (April through October). For your comfort, the space has both heating and air conditioning. On nice evenings, you can enjoy a fire in the fire pit or head down to a private deck at the bottom of the hill. Check-in is easy with a coded door lock. I live in the main house with my two cats, and while I’ll give you complete privacy, I’m always available to answer questions or share local recommendations. Extras & Amenities: Two bikes with helmets for exploring downtown or the nearby Lynn Valley Trail Ample free parking in the driveway Fridge, microwave and BBQ (no cooking facilities inside) Keurig pods, cream, and sugar provided for your morning coffee Important Notes: Bathroom consists of a Think Tank compost toilet and cold running water provided for washing only (April through October). Drinking water is provided (Brita filtered). There is a hot outdoor shower from April through October. In the off season, showering in the main house is available. Like most folks who’ve been bitten by the water ski bug, I dreamed of having my own lake and when I met my life partner Harald, an elite slalom skier, my search began in earnest. By a combination of good timing and good luck, I was able to make that dream come true and in the spring of 2014 I acquired this land with the hopes of building my dream water ski lake on it. 7 years later, we have a thriving water ski club and are constantly making improvements to the site. We now have decided to add some sites for rent to share this incredible property with others outside the water ski community. Site #1 is a small cabin that sleeps 3 and site #2 is a small houseboat that has been converted to a bunkie. Onsite activities include use of a canoe and paddleboard. We do have a separate living space in our barn so only parking is shared. Originally 100 acres was purchased by the Deering family back in the 1800's from the Holland Land company. Then sometime near 1900 the farm was split between two brothers, each receiving 50 acres. The home was originally built in 1903 and is currently updated and remodeled for today’s codes and standards. 47 acres of accessible woods and pasture remain for hiking and at the top of the property a breath-taking view across Lake Erie into Ontario Canada. Beth was the best host anyone could ask for! The bungalow was cut clean and comfortable We had amenities for tea coffee and she was even so kind that she shared some drinks with us because the liquor store was closed. She also provided us with a microwave that was not originally included and it did come in very handy. We felt like we bonded immediately. The hot tub was a delight and heated porch area. Beth was kind enough to allow us to use her bathroom for a shower and it was not ackward at all. We had plenty of privacy. I would highly recommend staying her as it was not expensive at all.

Very laid-back host. We really enjoyed the hot tub and the privacy.. Port Dover also had a lot to offer, even though it was a little chilly. It was still really beautiful to walk around, and there were still lots of restaurants and cute little stores to investigate. The sunset at Lake Erie. was beautiful and everyone was very friendly.

The best place to disconnect from the city and connect with nature. We really enjoyed the jacuzzi and the peace felt in Beth's house. She is a super host who helps you with whatever you need and is very attentive to us. She also has our dog.

So lovely! Amber, husband and all staff were incredible, welcoming and hospitable. We loved staying right with the animals and enjoyed exploring and interacting with the animals independently as well as being invited to feed the animals apples & even bottle feed the babies (I assume we got lucky and this isn't always an offer). The living space is also wonderful. Comfortable, clean and stocked with all that you need. Would recommend this to anyone and stay again anytime!

Pro: - nice host - electricity as well as full fridge. - Porta potty was a flush type so the smell was minimal - watch water skiing from front of cabin and there is nice shade there in the evening - there is a full screen sitting area with lawn furniture. great for keeping bugs off. - Fairly quiet site as long as water ski was not taking place - you can drive up to the Cabin - The pond is very close to main road to go into town. About 20min away from costo and bass pro shop. Con: -Fridge doors opened towards the wall making fridge access extremely limited - Cabin is tiny. when the couch is pulled out into a bed there is maybe 4 spots you can stand. - Cabin is "roughing it" I would have brought a cleaner and wipes to give it a quick wipe down before use. - No walking trails on property - Porta potty is a little ways away so be prepared to walk if you need the bathroom. - There is no latch on the Cabin door. either you lock it from the inside or the outside. it makes it hard if one person wants to nap in the afternoon.

Our stay at Grindstone Creek Farm was absolutely wonderful! The property is peaceful, beautifully kept, and offers a true countryside escape while still being close to Burlington. The accommodations were spotless, cozy, and thoughtfully prepared for guests. The hosts were incredibly welcoming, made everything easy from check-in to check-out. If you’re looking for a quiet getaway surrounded by nature, this farm is a gem. We’d happily return and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

Wonderful houseboat retreat! This is a perfect spot for a peaceful getaway. The view is absolutely stunning --sitting by the water in the morning or evening is pure joy. 🌅✨ The houseboat itself is very clean, cozy, and thoughtfully arranged. It has everything you need: fridge, freezer, stove,light, dishes, and A/C. A frying pan and at least one blanket would be nice additions, but overall, the space is well-equipped. The outside area is just as lovely — quiet, private, and ideal for enjoying coffee or relaxing by the fire🥰 The sofa looks so nice, but unfortunately, it’s very uncomfortable for sleeping--even though we brought extra mattress Overall, this place has a special charm. Great views, privacy, and thoughtful touches --we will definitely come back again! 💛
