My boyfriend and I absolutely adored Ben’s cabin. It was so beautiful and we had the best time. The host has went above and beyond to give us guests a great experience when staying here. We were just so amazed by the property. And the touch of Christmas was the cherry on top. We plan on coming back at least once a year. We especially loved the seclusion, peace and quiet, and being right in nature in a luxurious cabin. This is the absolute best place for a relaxing trip. It definitely exceeded our expectations. And Ben is a very friendly and attentive host, and responds quick with any questions or concerns.

We loved the cabin. It was beautifully decorated and clean. We didn’t build a fire because of rain but we certainly enjoyed the hot tub surrounded by all the beautiful colours and falling leaves. Ben was a great communicator. We will be back :)

We had such a wonderful stay! The property is truly special, it accommodates a big group comfortably with plenty of space, and the outdoor kitchen is so well thought out and fully equipped. The cabin is cozy and has electricity, and the showers were spotless and easy to use. We loved the private hiking trail, picnic tables, and direct access to the beach, it made the experience feel peaceful and secluded. The hosts clearly put a lot of care into creating this space, and it shows in every detail. Jon was also responsive and warm. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing, nature-filled getaway.

The owners are lovely and were very nice. The river was not swimmable and locals said they don't swim in it as it's too green and filled with goose poop. But it is wonderful to live beside as nature is alive and beautiful. The outdoor kitchen was lovely although I didn't cook there. But there's an actual small oven. And it was nice to have the sink to brush my teeth and wash dishes. The kitchen is well equipped with cooking pots annd utensils and essentials like oil and salt etc. There is a pit toilet that worked well. Also a fire pit but I was there during a fire ban. My main purpose was to go to the theatre in nearby Stratford. And hotels are so expensive. And this is about 20 min away. So u went from tent to theatre. Win win! Would recommend this independent campsite for sure.

We stayed at Jon’s amazing site with a group of six families, and we all enjoyed every second of our time there. The site is so well set and equipped with everything we needed and more! The private beach is large and beautiful, and the short hike to the beach is itself a funny adventure. We were pleasantly surprised that mosquitoes and flies seem to not even exist in the area. Fantastic weekend all over, we are definitely coming again.

I don't think I can gather enough amazing words to describe this magical tucked away experience. Turning off the road you are met with a gate and no trespassing signs. Smile & wave to the camera up on the right and know you are safe as you lock the gate behind you. Multiple sites to park rv's will greet you as you drive towards the cabin. Two of which I noted had electric hookups. The absolute darling little cabin greets you as you notice the huge firepit surrounded by bold red Adirondack chairs. They have cups holders that even hold wine glasses! The outdoor kitchen has absolutely everything you could need to prepare delicious meals from a huge BBQ to a plug in hot plate & even a griddle. Wine opener & utensils galore await in the cute wood cabinets. The outdoor HOT shower and FLUSHABLE toilet are treasures in such a setting. There is a boardwalk that boasts AHMAZING views & you can hear the waves! Borrow the path behind the kitchen and you will poke out cliffside with a ladder & wooden planks snaking down to the waters edge. Dogs may need assistance here. WEAR CLOSED SHOES! The beach itself is 100% secluded other than the far away boats you will see. If you go past the cement block you may run into other beach walkers. Keep your eyes peeled for beautiful beachglass, I found tons! If you should feel inclined, bring a trash bag & help keep this serene place clean from the surprises that can wash up on shore. The ONLY less desirable thing was the spiders haha 100% recommend!

Host extremely accommodating to ensure a perfect stay, inquiring about our fur babies host encouraged, instant book for us. Adorable bunkie queen size bed & 2 top sleeping areas. Breeze through windows + sound of the waves a real treat! Plenty of tenting area options throughout the property. Showers with two removable shower heads and hot water! Outhouse plumbing & clean, all equipped w motion lights. Incredible outdoor kitchen area, working fridge & sink! Underneath storage, storage container loaded from electric coil burner - tp, plenty more to offer. Option of ordering from charming town of Port Burwell just minutes drive, famous submarine tour, dog treats at ice cream parlour. Trail to private beach through forest camping, spiders exist. Insects did not bother us but recommend dog friendly bug spray for your fur babies, proceed down small vertical ladder, (helped dogs here) a rope is then provided should you need. walk down wood planks to short scramble and on your own private beach area, warm and shallow! Large fire pit, string lights give beautiful ambiance. Picnic table along bluffs boardwalk, beautiful sunset and stars. Bird watched drinking morning coffee overlooking vast Lake Erie. Will be rebooking, The host cares passionately about nature. Thank you for sharing your beautiful space with us, making our anniversary wonderful & stress free!! 🙏

Weekend Trip to Tiny House | Nordic Spa | WIFI

We had the best time! Was late March and we visited for a birthday celebration to get away from the city (GTA). Was so nice to be able to go south instead of north for once! Further north was hit by a wicked ice storm the weekend we were there but since we avoided that area and went closer to Lake Erie. We made the best choice we could’ve given the weather conditions. It drizzled rain on and off the entire time we were there but it was a welcomed refresh between hopping from the sauna to the hot tub. Bring LOTS of wood. Sauna heats up very quick but hot tub is a process. The tiny home was very clean and cozy and offered everything we needed for two nights. We only cooked outside. Would recommend to anyone looking for a weekend away that feels like you’re hours away in the wilderness but really only an hour or two away from home. Property was beautiful and we watched lots of deer roaming the property. Perfect getaway in the woods for couples!

We recently had the pleasure of staying at the Creekside Cabin and it was an unforgettable experience! From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the serene surroundings and the charming ambiance of the cabin. One of the highlights was the amazing bathroom with the shower that has a massive picture window, offering a unique and refreshing experience. The living room space, complete with an electric fireplace, created a cozy and inviting atmosphere that we thoroughly enjoyed. The hot tub was a standout feature, perfectly positioned next to a tranquil creek. It provided the ultimate relaxation spot, where we could unwind and soak in the peaceful environment. We especially loved how visible the stars were at night from the hot tub – it was truly a magical experience! Ben, our host, was incredibly responsive and helpful throughout our stay. His attentiveness made our experience even more enjoyable. We loved the cabin so much that we extended our stay by an extra day. Although the property was initially booked for the additional day, Ben went above and beyond to notify us when his next booking canceled, allowing us to extend our stay. We couldn’t have asked for anything more perfect! Overall, our time at Creekside Cabin was nothing short of perfect. We plan to experience this cabin in every season if we can and highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable getaway.

Where to go

Niagara Falls

Over 12,000 years old and 54 metres high, Niagara Falls is a force to be reckoned with just about 2 hours from London. Experience views of the Niagara Gorge and world-famous whirlpool while suspended 67-metres in the air on a zipline speeding up to 70 km/hour. Or view the iconic waterfall on a 20-minute boat tour that pulls you right into the misty base of the falls. The surrounding city delivers an abundance of activities, like helicopter rides, a butterfly conservatory, and sprawling wineries. Campers have a range of accommodations to choose from, including pull-through RV campsites, large-capacity cabins, and tent campsites equipped with firepits and picnic tables.

Main Beach in Port Stanley

Stretch out on 500 metres of sandy shoreline at Main Beach in Port Stanley—a 45-minute drive from London. It holds a coveted Blue Flag status for providing high-quality water and top-notch environmental standards that keep the lake clean and swimming-friendly. The slightly smaller and less populated Little Beach is a four-minute drive from Main Beach and offers an additional 185 metres of sandy shores. While both beaches are open year-round, lifeguards are only on duty from June until September.

Point Pelee National Park

Roughly a 2-hour drive from London, Point Pelee National Park is a peninsula at the southernmost point of Canada. With 20 kilometres of soft sand beach and several large ponds, the park is a sensational spot for canoeing and kayaking. Book a guided canoe tour or private rentals to explore with unbound freedom. The park is classified as a Dark Sky Preserve, and on certain nights, campers are welcomed to stay after regular hours to take in the twinkling night sky. Check out cabin rentals with natural gas barbecues and parking for one vehicle in the nearby lot. While there is an admission fee to enter Point Pelee National Park, it's waived for kids age 17 and younger.

Boler Mountain

Enjoy all-season fun on Boler Mountain. Ski runs and tobogganing routes twist through the 120 acres of land in the winter, while hiking and downhill mountain biking trails cover the mountain in summer. Discover the Treetop Adventure Park (open from May until October), where campers can challenge themselves on a rope course and an exhilarating 335-metre long zip line. Wind down at the end of the day with an outdoor yoga session before heading back to an RV park with on-site laundry, full hookups, and fire rings.

When to go

London has four distinct seasons, so the best time to visit depends on which activities are on the agenda. Summer runs from June to September, bringing an average high of 26°C—a prime temperature for canoeing in Point Pelee National Park or touring Niagara Falls by boat. The deciduous trees burst into a mosaic of color when Fall arrives in October. January and February are the months to pick for skiing, as snowfall will be in full swing on Mount Boler. Make sure to book far in advance for dates that overlap with festivals, since campsites get booked quickly.
