Once upon a time this property consisted of an 18 acre apple orchard and a 10 acre Maple Sugar bush with evidence of it scattered about the property. I have owned the property for over 16 years now, and moved here from Toronto about 4 years ago, living in nature has become my life. The property is full of Wild life and history. The 18 acre orchard was turned into a white pine forest about 40 years ago and has recently been thinned out to promote healthy growth. Bee hives have recently become part of the life that exists here. The area is surrounded by a Mennonite community and the Amish are also within a 15 minute drive from here. On the map you will see that this property is a part of the original Queen's bush. The highest point in the township with amazing views all around. Here to enjoy and experience for all.Learn more about this land:64 acres of forests, a pond and an open field filled with wildflowers, butterflies and a vast variety of Birds. This place has 6 distinct forests to explore and forage. The campsite consists of an acre of groomed grass snuggled up against a vast forest and a frog pond with lots of activities to enjoy.The campsite is only 15 minutes from Port Elgin and Southampton. Beautiful sunsets from our open Meadow by a spring-fed pond. Lots of wildlife, butterflies and wildflowers!We have one site available for tent and RV campers. We provide a toilet, potable water and a picnic table. Campfires are permitted as long as there is no fire ban, pets are welcome.The forests are full of foraging options that might be of interest to some campers. We had an amazing time camping at Josh’s beautiful property — it’s truly a hidden gem! The land is massive, with forests, farmland, and a peaceful creek running through it. Josh was kind enough to upgrade us to a creekside campsite, which turned out to be absolutely perfect — spacious, scenic, and shaded by gorgeous willow and maple trees. Having a picnic table and fire pit provided made it even better; relaxing by the fire at night was pure bliss. The outhouse is super convenient and clean.
Even though we arrived later than planned and didn’t get to meet Josh in person, his son Riley took wonderful care of us. He was incredibly welcoming — he welcomed us with some cold beers, gave us a full tour of the property, and even showed us their private woods where we spotted wild mushrooms and local wildlife.
As nature lovers, we couldn’t have asked for more. The combination of beautiful surroundings, warm hospitality, and peaceful atmosphere made this one of our best camping experiences. We’ll definitely be coming back again for a longer stay to explore more of this little paradise.

Our stay at Pasture 1 & 2 was fantastic! Josh, the host was very nice and helped us on our needs. They really take care of this campground and their guests. I love that land is grassy great for kids running around. We catch some fish and crayfish on the river as well. It is a perfect place for family camping and we might be coming back again.

Wow, Fernhill Farm is a fantastic place to camp! Whichever site you book, you’ll have a beautiful river view. There is plenty of space between others who are camping where it truly does feel like you have the place to yourselves. The owner, Josh, replies quickly to emails and will be there in-person to welcome you. He is so kind (especially this being our first camping trip)!
The grounds are meticulously maintained which made going for walks along the rivers so relaxing. There is also a Tim Hortons within a 20 min walk, but we didn’t go. We bought firewood directly from Josh saving us from having to bring our own.
There is plenty to see in the river such as little fish and plenty of tiny crayfish. My son especially enjoyed a spontaneous tractor ride with one of the Sr. property owners.
I would not hesitate to book this site again. Any of the campsites on this property are beautiful.

Best if you rent Pastures 1-3 because us as a big group, it brings us closer while doing the camping activities. Place is well maintained & owner is accommodating. Thank you, Josh!

Group trip
We got Pastures 1-3 since we are a big group and it’s just perfect for us. Most of us are first time campers and the place did not disappoint us. No internet, no problem. Lol. We had fun, enjoyed good food, had games, did fishing, sports— just making good memories in this wonderful place. Thanks to Josh who is very accommodating, making sure all is well. If I were to suggest something, maybe to improve the toilet. Other than that, the place is amazing and we will definitely go back & of course will share this incredible place to our friends and relatives. Thank you Everhill Farm!!!

Where to go
Inverhuron Provincial Park
Roughly a 20-minute drive from Kincardine, Inverhuron Provincial Park’s sandy beaches and clear Lake Huron waters are popular for refreshing swims or using the boat launch. Campers can also stroll along scenic hiking trails or fish in the lake's bountiful waters. On-site electrical and non-electrical campsites are suitable for tents and RVs with amenities such as washrooms with showers and flush toilets, plus a laundromat. Picnic areas also provide a delightful setting for family gatherings or a relaxing meal amidst nature.
Kincardine Harbour
At the mouth of the Penetangore River, Kincardine Harbour is a popular location year-round. With short, sandy beaches and cement piers that encourage relaxing, scenic walks, this harbour is the perfect spot to travel for a magnificent view of the waterfront. Just a short walk from Queen Street, it’s easy to daytrip to the impressive lighthouse and return to a campsite near town by nightfall.
MacGregor Point Provincial Park
About 30 kilometres south of Kincardine rests MacGregor Point Provincial Park, known for its picturesque coastal dunes, sandy beaches, and diverse ecosystems. With camping options for both tents and RVs, campers can immerse themselves in the beauty of the outdoors and enjoy the park’s washrooms, and picnic areas, too. Then, hike, birdwatch, canoe, and stargaze without ever leaving the park.
When to go
Comfortable temperatures and longer daylight hours occur from late spring to early fall in Kincardine. This is an ideal time for campers to explore parks, enjoy beaches, and engage in outdoor adventures—especially since peak tourist season is in the summer, where temperatures average between 20 to 30°C. Wintertime in Kincardine has colder temperatures, potential snowfall, and limited facilities, which can make it challenging to camp or hike.
