Your campsite and cabin(s) are nestled a half-km from our home, along a driveable path to the site, as long as the road is clear of ice and snow. You will have total privacy for you and your guests and yours will be the only rental while you are here! There is a main cabin that is set up for two people that comes with your rental. There is also tons of mowed space for other guests to camp, included in the initial booking price, or, if they choose, they can rent our sleep cabin that has room for up to 7 more to sleep in a bed in a cozy cabin. We are happy to host large, friend and family gatherings. There is an outdoor shower, outdoor games, three hard-topped gazebos, hammocks, scenic walks, a large fire pit with plenty of seating, picnic tables, and more! We have tried to think of everything you might need so you don't have to! Your site is far from any other homes or roads, surrounded by forest, Canadian Shield, and beaver ponds. Wildlife abounds, the night skies are clear of light pollution, and there are plenty of birds to see and hear in every season.

The tiny house is surrounded by trees, and the interior has a platform couch and bench for seating, tiny wood stove, tiny kitchen, "shower" area for sponge bathing, and a composting toilet. (There is no running water or electricity). We are stocked with all bedding, towels, dishware, tea, coffee, and a French press! You'll find a BBQ and camp stove for cooking on the deck - there's no fridge, but a cooler with ice packs will be provided. Battery packs are here for charging cell phones and laptops (with USB-C and USB). The tiny home comes complete with rechargeable lamps, battery powered lights, potable drinking and washing water, and WIFI! Consider this the most indoor camping experience you can have and still be out in the woods! You'll want to be comfortable with making a fire and keeping warm in the winter months! The tiny stove will keep you warm on the coldest winter days, but you have to keep it going. :) In the winter months, we'll get the stove started to warm everything before you arrive (and provide you with kindling and wood). When cleaning out the ashes in the stove (if necessary,) please use the metal pail outside and place the ash-filled pail back on the concrete blocks. Please note that there is no other heat source. Check out Mill Pond Conservation Area for great hiking about 15 minutes away! Maybe Rock Dunder Nature Reserve for hiking and AMAZING views? (30 minutes). Weekend Trip to Dog Friendly Cliffside Cabin

This cabin is such a restful retreat in the middle of the forest, with a big beautiful hiking trail right on the property. It’s fully secluded for dogs to run freely, yet Mike and Monique live right nearby for anything you need during your stay. The cabin is equipped with all the essentials, the bed is comfy and Mike is highly responsive to any needs, while also respecting your privacy. I can’t wait to return!

I came back to Agape Gardens less than a week after my 1st stay. That says it all! There's something really special about this place. The peace, nature, and quiet atmosphere make it the perfect place to disconnect and recharge. The outdoor hot tub late at night is an absolute must! Such a relaxing and unforgettable experience under the night sky. Jennie & Jeremy are amazing hosts, and everything feels welcoming and relaxing. Definitely becoming one of my favourite getaway spots!

1 night at Agape Gardens - Nature Retreat

I stayed 1 night at Agape Gardens on a solo getaway & loved every minute of it. Jennie's so kind & welcoming, and the whole place has such a peaceful and calming energy. Surrounded by nature, quiet, fresh air… it was exactly what I needed to disconnect, relax, read, and recharge. Everything was also super clean and well taken care of. I enjoyed the experience so much that before even leaving I booked my next stay a few days later. Can’t wait to come back!

We had a great stay at the Leo cabin at Agape Gardens! Our hosts were easy to communicate with and quick to answer any questions we had throughout our stay. The walking trail, beautiful cabin, and wood fired hot tub were highlights for us. It was an incredibly relaxing stay!

An absolutely perfect winter cabin retreat. Cozy, spotless, and thoughtfully equipped. It was a great place to unplug, relax, and enjoy the winter season. We loved being able to let our dog roam safely off-leash and enjoy the freedom. Mike gave us such a warm welcome that immediately made us feel at home. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and falling asleep while gazing at the stars through the trees was a magical touch. The outdoor kitchen was one of our favourite features. We hope to return.

The off grid cabin was a really cozy and scenic experience! The cabin opens up to a lovely view of the surrounding hills and woods with a nice forest to walk on the property. Spending the evening in? They have a wonderful sauna, cold plunge and hot tub area with amazing views of the night sky, great for a weekend getaway.

Weekend Trip to Dog Friendly Cliffside Cabin

We loved everything about our stay in the Cliffside Cabin and will definitely return. The cabin is cozy and inviting and kept us snug and warm despite the frigid -30 degree temps outside. The bed is heavenly; so comfortable for sleeping, and also surrounded by windows for enjoying the stunning views and sunset. The cabin strikes the perfect balance of rustic and convenience, so you get the charm and atmosphere of being off grid, but the comfort and ease of having lights easily accessible and sleeping through the night without having to stoke a fire to stay warm. The property is incredible. It’s totally private and has tons of beautiful wooded trails to explore. We snowshoed for hours and enjoyed the variety of trail types, from machine set to human set to making our very own in the deep snow! We were there during a nighttime snowshoe race so got to see all the headlamps moving very quickly through the forest from the comfort of the cabin after our own snowshoe adventure. Our dog, who is reactive and barky in the city, was able to be off leash and lived his best life from arrival to departure. He tired himself out exploring and put himself to bed early! Last but definitely not least, Mike was an exceptional host. He is responsive and thoughtful, offering to reschedule when I asked about the cold, and even offering to loan us his dog’s jacket when I said I might buy one. He is interesting and so easy to talk to, and we left his presence feeling uplifted. Highly recommend!

My partner and I LOVE staying here on our occasional trip up north! 20 Minutes from Gatineau Park and 35 minutes from Ottawa, it’s the perfect balance of time in the city and the beautiful countryside. Incredibly accommodating and kind hosts, it’s well worth a stay for any occasion :)
