We made a last minute decision to spend Christmas in the woods. Dan pulled through with an amazing site and experience. A great property with an amazing history in Charcoal production. The site was everything we needed, fire pit, beautiful surrounding, peace and quiet. We will definitely be returning in the Spring.

We had an amazing time at Dan's campsite. Dan had been amazing, provided us with warm water, firewood and even had a chance to hangout around the campfire and learn about the site. he also gave some great recommendations of things to check out. Do Check out Crystal Cave which is amazing.

We absolutely loved our stay at Derrick and Rachel's place! It was everything we dreamed of. The place is private, quiet and you are able to fully relax here. The Dome is beautiful, set high with gorgeous lake views. It is clean, extremely comfortable and has everything you need for an enjoyable stay. They have every amenity you require, and excellent seating areas outside (around the fire, and at the dock). The available kayak, canoe and paddleboards allows you to fully enjoy the property. The sauna/shower was such a nice touch and a great way to unwind at the end of the day. If you are looking for a hidden gem, slice or paradise, or the perfect getaway this is your place! Rachel was very responsive and helpful. We highly recommend.

2 nights at Algonquin Lakeview Glamping Dome
Derrick and Rachel's place is absolutely incredible! Such a great escape from the city! Its peaceful but also has options for activites like canoeing and swimming and games! They have everything you can think of from lighters to lamps! We will definately be coming back to stay!

Weekend Trip to Algonquin Lakeview Glamping Dome
We had a great stay thanks to Rachel and Derrick at the Algonquin Glamping Dome! Amazing views of the surrounding lake and a lot of amenities. We really appreciated the attention to detail and guiding us throughout the property on first arrival. Felt serene to enjoy nature in complete isolation. Thank you Rachel and Derrick!

Spacious and peaceful campsite! The leaves were just starting to turn red when we visited, which made it extra pretty. Plenty of drinking water, picnic table, and chairs. Dan is an amazing host — super kind and even helped us get our drone back from a pine tree. Highly recommend!

Sheila has such a beautiful property. Being on the water was so relaxing. Nothing beats waking up in the morning and enjoying coffees on the dock with the sunrise. My husband and I had such a wonderful weekend. So peaceful ! Thank you Sheila for sharing your little peace of heaven.

Lisa's property was amazing! Lots of room, beautiful view of everything. Saw deer every day! Loved the outhouse, we are used to privies at Algonquin but the outhouse was way better - especially with the rain we had. She was great with communication and even checked to make sure we were ok after a big gusty windy rainy period of time. We will definitely be back! Thanks so much Lisa.

This was one of our favourite Hipcamps. The lake was busier than we are used to but it was a long weekend so totally expected. We appreciated the private feel of the campsite being nestled in our little corner and we customized the site with tarp shelters and a hammock to lay about in the afternoons. The night sky was gorgeous with the moon and the sound of waves to keep us company. One should keep in mind that there are elevation changes at the site that could prove challenging for some. I was able to portage our canoe down to the water and back up to our vehicle but the pitch through the trees and down to the beach could prove tricky. Overall, we liked the secluded, civilized-rustic feel of the space: not Crown Land but sounds of the forest gave it a wild feel.

Such a wonderful place! Den was so kind. he even let us use his kayak and checked on us every day to make sure we were doing well. The area is peaceful and beautiful, and the night sky full of stars took our breath away.
We felt so welcome and relaxed here. Truly one of the best camping experiences we’ve ever had. we will definitely come back again!😍

Sheila’s place is a little slice of heaven. I wanted to camp alone but as a single female, I needed to feel safe and this was the place! You are right on the water with an abundance of paddling opportunities if you want. Beautiful dock to have morning coffee and a dip all to yourself. Quite private and peaceful. There are other cottages around but not right next to you like a campground and the nights were quiet. You are only awoken by the sounds of owls and loons not loud campers next to you. There is a cute clean outhouse and a fire pit. There is a walk up to where your car is parked but it didn’t bother me as the only time I had to go up and down was set up and tear down. Sheila is lovely and I highly recommend if you are looking for a beautiful spot to yourself on the water. Thank you Sheila!

I cant say enough good things about this place. It was absolutely beautiful. A large open area with a nicely crafted xl picnic table and fire pit. There was water and a garbage can on site. There were lots of trails and bodies of water everywhere. Dan was an awesome host and was more than helpful. My only drawback was lack of cellular service (Bell mobility). But honestly the total disconnect was definitely needed. First time I slept for 8 hours in months. Love love love it and I will be back very soon.

Lisa was super friendly, communicative, responsive and welcoming before and during our stay! The site and surrounding fields, forest and lake were spectacular and we had the entire grounds to ourselves. Couldn’t have made a better first impression and the site was beyond our expectations. Will highly recommend to others in the future.
