The site is spacious and comfortable.
**You must climb up the trail. It’s a 2-3 minute hike up which you will need to carry your personal camping gear up.
You will find in the common area a fire pit and our clear top shelter equipped with a table and some stools. A food prep area where you will find a few kitchen items. There are three Adirondack chairs by the fire pit and two black folding chairs under the shelter. We also have a few games on site such as washer toss, ladder toss...
Our outhouse is like no other. The sun letting skylight roof top provides a bright and airy comfortable space. It’s equipped with a mirror for your convenience.
A pet friendly site supplied with a little dog patio and doggy zip line. This allows small dogs to roam around in security or let your large dog roam free.
Cedar Camp Ridge campsite is well situated for easy access for outdoor activities to the region’s offerings such as: Sussex Bluff Hiking path, Fundy Parkway, Poley Mountain: mountain biking and skiing, Fundy Provicial Park, St Martin’s sea caves, Cap Enragé, Waterford waterfalls, there is also close access to NB ATV Trails.

We have a half acre lake front lot with privacy. We have access directly to the lake from the lot and a laneway for a small boat as well. There is fishing, paddle boarding, boating, hiking and walking on these quiet roads in the wilderness. The Bay of Fundy is down the road maybe 2-5 min. If you want peace and quiet then here it is, a nice fresh lot on a lake out in the middle of no where. Situated in Caithness, New Brunswick, where the Magaguadavic River meets the Passamaquoddy Bay on the Bay of Fundy.
Once owned by high profile Saint Andrews-By-The-Sea resident, Robert Pagan, the property, like other properties in the area, was granted to American Loyalist Soldiers of Scottish Highlanders, and named for Caithness, Scotland, the place where Golf began.
When the US Revolutionary War ended, the King of Holland was chosen to define the boundary between the United States and Canada. He chose the “St Croix River”. The problem was, nobody knew where the St Croix River was. That name had been used by the French, but had not been used in a very long time.
Canadians believed the Schoduc River was the St Croix. American’s believe the Wolastoq River (now called the St John River) was the St Croix River.
The local North American Indigenous people (the MicMacs or Mi'kmaqs) told Robert Pagan of a place called “Bone Island” where their history told of Europeans living and dying there. Pagan did an archaeological dig on “Bone Island” and found the remains of the French colonists and their settlement. This proved “Bone Island”, also known as “Dochet Island” or “Saint Croix Island", was the site of Pierre Dugua, Sieur de Monts' ill-fated 1604 settlement.
Based on this, the Boundary Commission agreed that the Schoduc River was the Saint Croix River and therefore, the international boundary between Canada and America.
The survivors of the 1604/1605 fall/winter moved from St Croix Island to Port-Royal in Nova Scotia (two years before the European arrival in Jamestown, Virginia, the earliest continuously occupied European settlement in the USA).
Without the work of Robert Pagan, this campsite and half of New Brunswick, including the Capital City of Fredericton and half of the City of Saint John would have been part of Province of Massachusetts Bay (later Maine).
In the 1800's this property was part of a 1000 acre lot of land owned by two McKenzie brothers, Sea Captains. Since the late 1960s, the property was the summer home of Ben and Marg Leland, parents to 14 children and 50 grandchildren.
Today, there are four (4) separate fields available for campers - Barnes' Point, Charlies Garden, the Villa Point and the Main Beach.
The property has 2 miles of shoreline and several beaches to enjoy. The property even has a private island, Blueberry Island.
A really unique and quiet place to stay.

Natural long grass fields for camping, some mowed mid-season. There are several shale beaches on the tidal salt water. There is also access to the Fresh Water of the Magaguadavic River.
Kayakers looking for more of a challenge may choose to paddle the Salt Waters of the Passamaquoddy Bay past Midjik Bluff. Those looking for calmer and warmer waters, may want to choose to go from the campsite, up the Magaguadavic River to the beautiful Saint George Basin and the Saint George Gorge, passing the Three Sisters and the newest Bald Eagles Nest (at the most eastern end of the Campsite).
Pass by Silver Island arriving at the Saint George Basin. Disembark at the Basin Boat Ramp and take a short walk up Portage Street to Main Street. Enjoy an ice cream at Pete’s Dairy Bar. Also a short walk to the Saint George Mall, the Historic Granite Post Officer, the Saint George Dam, Fish Ladder, the Old Pulp Mill, the Country Market, and more.
A quiet spot, away from noise and light pollution, where the fresh water meets the salt water.

This place is for people who appreciate nature, a quiet getaway and a place to disconnect as it is out of cellphone range. Definitely not a party site.
The site is spacious and comfortable.
**You must climb up the trail. It’s a 2-3 minute hike up which you will need to carry your personal camping gear up.
You will find in the common area a fire pit and our clear top shelter equipped with a table and some stools. A food prep area where you will find a few kitchen items. There are three Adirondack chairs by the fire pit and two black folding chairs under the shelter. We also have a few games on site such as washer toss, ladder toss...
Our outhouse is like no other. The sun letting skylight roof top provides a bright and airy comfortable space. It’s equipped with a mirror for your convenience.
A pet friendly site supplied with a little dog patio and doggy zip line. This allows small dogs to roam around in security or let your large dog roam free.
Cedar Camp Ridge campsite is well situated for easy access for outdoor activities to the region’s offerings such as: Sussex Bluff Hiking path, Fundy Parkway, Poley Mountain: mountain biking and skiing, Fundy Provicial Park, St Martin’s sea caves, Cap Enragé, Waterford waterfalls, there is also close access to NB ATV Trails.
Centrally located between southern NB 3 largest cities. Our lot is approximately same driving time to either Moncton, St. John or Fredericton.

Notre toilette extérieure ne ressemble à aucune autre. Le toit de la lucarne ensoleillée offre un espace confortable et lumineux. Il est équipé d’un miroir pour votre confort.
Un site acceptant les animaux de compagnie fourni avec un petit patio pour chiens et une tyrolienne pour chiens. Cela permet aux petits chiens de se promener en toute sécurité ou de laisser votre grand chien errer librement.
Le camping Cedar Camp Ridge est bien situé pour un accès facile aux activités de plein air de la région telles que : sentier de randonnée de Sussex Bluff, Fundy Parkway, Poley Mountain : vélo de montagne et ski, parc provincial Fundy, grottes marines de St Martin, Cap Enragé, cascades Waterford, il y a également un accès proche aux sentiers de VTT du Nouveau-Brunswick.

We have a half acre lake front lot with privacy. We have access directly to the lake from the lot and a laneway for a small boat as well. There is fishing, paddle boarding, boating, hiking and walking on these quiet roads in the wilderness. The Bay of Fundy is down the road maybe 2-5 min. If you want peace and quiet then here it is, a nice fresh lot on a lake out in the middle of no where. We DO NOT have any any of the equipment (kayaks, paddle boards and fishing equip) there you must bring your own.

Situated in Caithness, New Brunswick, where the Magaguadavic River meets the Passamaquoddy Bay on the Bay of Fundy.
Once owned by high profile Saint Andrews-By-The-Sea resident, Robert Pagan, the property, like other properties in the area, was granted to American Loyalist Soldiers of Scottish Highlanders, and named for Caithness, Scotland, the place where Golf began.
When the US Revolutionary War ended, the King of Holland was chosen to define the boundary between the United States and Canada. He chose the “St Croix River”. The problem was, nobody knew where the St Croix River was. That name had been used by the French, but had not been used in a very long time.
Canadians believed the Schoduc River was the St Croix. American’s believe the Wolastoq River (now called the St John River) was the St Croix River.
The local North American Indigenous people (the MicMacs or Mi'kmaqs) told Robert Pagan of a place called “Bone Island” where their history told of Europeans living and dying there. Pagan did an archaeological dig on “Bone Island” and found the remains of the French colonists and their settlement. This proved “Bone Island”, also known as “Dochet Island” or “Saint Croix Island", was the site of Pierre Dugua, Sieur de Monts' ill-fated 1604 settlement.
Based on this, the Boundary Commission agreed that the Schoduc River was the Saint Croix River and therefore, the international boundary between Canada and America.
The survivors of the 1604/1605 fall/winter moved from St Croix Island to Port-Royal in Nova Scotia (two years before the European arrival in Jamestown, Virginia, the earliest continuously occupied European settlement in the USA).
Without the work of Robert Pagan, this campsite and half of New Brunswick, including the Capital City of Fredericton and half of the City of Saint John would have been part of Province of Massachusetts Bay (later Maine).
In the 1800's this property was part of a 1000 acre lot of land owned by two McKenzie brothers, Sea Captains. Since the late 1960s, the property was the summer home of Ben and Marg Leland, parents to 14 children and 50 grandchildren.
Today, there are four (4) separate fields available for campers - Barnes' Point, Charlies Garden, the Villa Point and the Main Beach.
The property has 2 miles of shoreline and several beaches to enjoy. The property even has a private island, Blueberry Island.
A really unique and quiet place to stay.

Natural long grass fields for camping, some mowed mid-season. There are several shale beaches on the tidal salt water. There is also access to the Fresh Water of the Magaguadavic River.
Kayakers looking for more of a challenge may choose to paddle the Salt Waters of the Passamaquoddy Bay past Midjik Bluff. Those looking for calmer and warmer waters, may want to choose to go from the campsite, up the Magaguadavic River to the beautiful Saint George Basin and the Saint George Gorge, passing the Three Sisters and the newest Bald Eagles Nest (at the most eastern end of the Campsite).
Pass by Silver Island arriving at the Saint George Basin. Disembark at the Basin Boat Ramp and take a short walk up Portage Street to Main Street. Enjoy an ice cream at Pete’s Dairy Bar. Also a short walk to the Saint George Mall, the Historic Granite Post Officer, the Saint George Dam, Fish Ladder, the Old Pulp Mill, the Country Market, and more.
A quiet spot, away from noise and light pollution, where the fresh water meets the salt water.

Hipcamp campground Mouth of the Magaguadvic is amazing. There is not much to do, but there is a lot to see. The kind of place where you need to spend time just watching the world around you, ever changing. Tides, water, sunlight, moonlight, dusk, dawn, clouds, blue skies, gray skies, reflections, shadows, ripples, rocks, seaweed emerging, and receding. The water and sky is busy with various birds; Loons, eagles, crows, ravens, seagulls, cormorants, herons. The shrubs are full of song birds, old friends and those never heard before! Deep water follows the mud flats, islands come and go, walkways appear and disappear. The colors of approaching fall, red of the blueberry plants, last of the asters, goldenrod and yarrow blooming, a few oak trees fading from green, red maples along the edge of the cove. Spruce heavy with cones. Red soldiers moss and blueberry plants crunchy underfoot, along with prickly juniper low to the ground. Mountain ash full of red berries along the roadway to the ferry. Paul’s place is truly remarkable and he was a wonderful and informative host. Many thanks for sharing such a magical place.

It’s hard to write a review of Mouth of Magaguadavic without overusing superlatives, but I’ll give it a try. In ten years of wandering around the US and Canada in our truck camper, this site is in the top five most spectacular places that we have camped. Imagine camping at the tip of a small point extending into a bay with a 270+ degree view of the bay and its shores and islands. And twice a day the water in the bay rises and falls by over twenty feet! Highly recommended! Paul is a very accommodating and informative host, and his business partner Dave was also very helpful and amiable. If Paul recommends island hopping on ferries to get to the campground, I suggest taking his advice. We saw dolphins, a seal, and a whirlpool during our island hopping. My only regret during our stay was not paddling the tidal waters of the Magaguadavic River, but I hope to check that item off the list the next time we’re in NB.

We enjoyed our stay! The campground is near the Calias border crossing and makes a great stop on the way to PEI and Cape Breton. Paul was very responsive to messages and texts. David led us to our campsite where we had a whole field by the water to ourselves. I recommend you stop at McKays blueberries nearby to get a pie or muffins.

I loved this place! A wonderful, peaceful, private camp! They seem to have thought of everything here, a very well designed area with lots of hard work and love put into the space!

This was an absolutely stunning camping spot!! So private feeling, an incredible view of the river/ bay. Paul was so helpful with recommendations for things to see on our way to and from his spot. Being able to charge our devices inside the house was also so handy for a longer camping trip. Wonderful host, wonderful property. Highly recommend.

What a special place the Mouth of Magaguadavic is! And what wonderful folks Paul and his business partner Dave are! We were warmly greeted by them and the dogs, Milo and Scooter. Paul led us to our site…a point overlooking the bay (the tide was out) just as the sun was setting. A sky of orange and blue and yellow. Spectacular! And this was just the start of a bunch of great days spent here. We canoed up the river to St. George on the incoming tide, saw eagles, ate lunch at the Fish Market, and cruised back home on the outgoing tide. We bicycled into town another day, visited the marsh and the fish ladder. We had a peaceful day reading books in the sun overlooking the water and walking out in the low tide. We paddle-boarded on the lagoon another day and even went digging in the mud for bloodworms with Dave one morning at low tide. Being late in the season, we practically had the place to ourselves, (over 100 acres), so we checked out the woodlands, the tidal river, and the different campsites, all stunning, private, and roomy. Mouth of Magaguadavic site is just the best camping site you could imagine! A peaceful area, right on the bay, With stellar sunsets and star-filled dark nights. And run by the kindest, most interesting guys! We will definitely be back!

Fabulous. From the moment I booked, Paul provided me with info to make my trip more enjoyable. Advising to take the ferries rather than drive the long way. Perfect. The camp sites a staggered around the old homestead. I was there in September so the camp population was small (perfect).
Paul’s campground is VERY non commercial. The town doesn’t know about it, so don’t ask directions. The sign is very rustic so pay attention to “street” numbers. The driveway is rustic and bumpy, don’t be deterred. The house that will greet you is a work in progress. Again, don’t be deterred. The campsites overlook the river and are spread out and lovely. No water or electricity at sites… no problem. I traveled from NH to Meatcove Cape Breton. Paul’s and Meatcove were my favorite spots. Note…. Meatcove is a long trip. My advice is to take Paul’s advice and take the ferries. Canadian border was small and calm. They did take my mace going in. Bear spray ok, mace not okay. Sweet dogs will greet you.
