The best forest glamping near Sooke, British Columbia

I enjoyed my little escape to the JR airstream. Robyn was very sweet and replied to all my inquries super promptly. The airstream is cute, well stocked, and the perfect size for one. I loved the gas stove & the little deck. I would caution against staying here in winter if you are cold sensitive. I found it to be chilly inside the airstream even with the tiny heater running. I brought layers & an extra blanket, and drank hot drinks, but overall I was cold whenever I wasn't tucked into bed. People who run warm would probably be fine in winter, and I'm sure it's a lovely place to stay in the warmer seasons.

Weekend Trip to Raylia Cottage Farm Stay

What a perfect stay! Michele was a lovely host and the cabin was in such a beautiful, peaceful spot. I loved the vibe of the cabin, cosy with the option to make a fire (loved chopping wood), and lots of cosy dvds' and vhs's to watch on the couch. The cabin also had its own privacy (its far enough from the main house & has its own driveway) which was perfect for us. It's located in a super convenient spot too, probably the best part of the island to stay - right next to a few cute shops, coffee carts and a restaurant while still being tucked away in the woods. Also next to a lovely hike. Would highly recommend!!!

Weekend Trip to Camas Creek Retreat

We enjoyed our weekend stay in the cabin! Upon arrival, Heloise and Ruth were welcoming and showed my husband and I around the property, and the details of the cabin space. It’s about a 40 minute drive from downtown Victoria and easy to find markets and shops from the cabin. The cabin has a fence around the front and is backed up against a small hillside. The bedroom is complete enclosed in the cabin space, but the rest (kitchen, dining, and shower) are more of an open concept space. Outside has a cozy ceiling heater where we played cards on the table in the evenings after a long day of adventuring and touristing around. There is plenty of space for cooking and lots of pots and pans. Plus a mini fridge for cold drinks of food items. The shower is outside against the hillside, and the toilet is compostable (don’t worry instructions are posted inside). Inside, the cabin has a full size bed which slept my husband and I comfortably. A space heater in case it’s cold, and extra blankets. The cabin is located on-site where the owners live, just a ways from their house, and near another neighbor that shares the driveway. WiFi is available if needed. My advice for showering is 1.) shower in the evening/ at night since it’s sort of open space and during the day some children were outside playing and 2.) undress inside of the shower space before turning the water on for maximum privacy. But it is a nice hot shower! We had a great stay, had everything we needed, and felt right at home.

Weekend Trip to Camas Creek Retreat

Had the best time at camas creek cabin. Heloise and her family are wonderful and got us fresh produce of fruits from their garden to welcome us and also when we were leaving. The property is so peaceful and exactly what we wanted - away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The open kitchen and shower were super nice and we had a great time there . Ruth was incredibly sweet and helped us understand the life there. Their pup jeena is the cutest

We had the most wonderful time at the Rad Shack. Such a cute place which has clearly been made with a lot of love. Madeline was a very responsive host and we enjoyed the guide book inside of the nearby area. It is very remote and private, with its own trail down to a completely quiet beach which is fantastic for a sunset. Outdoor shower is very fun!

My girlfriend and I loved this place! It was quiet and clean, the vibe was so lovely we had a hard time leaving. Lots of hikes close by and the best little coffee shop at the bottom of the hill. Robyn was super helpful and kind! 10/10, 5 stars! Will be back!

Nice private tipi surrounded by trees and next to the farm. The sink was nice to have nearby. Garbage and recycling cans near the parking spot. Nice bedding. Picnic table and chairs outside. There is some traffic noise although you can’t see it and it quiets down later. Saw pheasants, rabbit and birds.

Heather’s RV getaway was the perfect setup for my two kids and me. The RV was spacious, clean, comfortable and well-stocked with essentials. We enjoyed seeing the two horses living on the property, and the composting toilet was quite nice. Heather was very responsive and helpful at all times.

This is the perfect place to stay for a small group or pair. On a good day, it’s a quick 30 minute drive into Victoria. The surrounding area is beautiful! Rabbits, chickens, and a gorgeous garden. The hosts were very kind, friendly and gave us some produce from their garden. It was a quiet, private area and has all the amenities you’ll need: wifi, hot water, cooking appliances/basics, indoor bed. We couldn’t recommend this place more! Thanks for a lovely stay.

I’m 2-0 with my first 2 HipCamp experiences on this trip. This spot and the adorable Airstream were exactly as advertised and so great. Robyn was super responsive. The location is private but still a short drive away from many great spots. Everything was super clean and comfortable, don’t let the size fool you, everything you need is there. A hammock or somewhere to lounge on the patio with a book would make it perfection.

Heloise's place was an absolutely gorgeous and wonderful place to stay in. We were very comfortable and cozy in the place and it felt very open and spacious. highly recommend for however long of a retreat or stay you would need. Heloise was also really kind to gift us with some pears and tomatoes from their farm in the morning. Got a chance to meet Gina (wonderful dog). All the best - and looking forward to staying again in the future :)

Weekend Trip to Natures Way Yurt & Spa

The yurt and nature spa were absolutely fantastic. My sister and I spent two nights at Kaitlyn’s place. The yurt was so cozy and the mattress was the perfect firmness. The nature spa was so relaxing. We appreciated that we could use the spa throughout our stay and spent the first night in the hot tub stargazing. Kaitlyn recommended a hike for us to do which was lovely - we then came back to the spa all set up for an elemental circuit including a clay mask and seaweed. We felt so good afterwards! Kaitlyn was so kind and welcoming, would stay here again!

Weekend Trip to Woodland at The Shamba

This property felt very private for us! There’s a 2 minute walk down the trail to the tent area, pretty easy to get your stuff there if you’re used to trail walking. Lots of fresh fruit and granola bars provided for us! The toilet is very simple but clean and fine for a couple nights. We brought all the necessary camping equipment minus a tent and sleeping bags. You will need outdoor chairs, a stove, cooler and other camping essentials. This was pretty obvious given the description and reviews so don’t be shocked when it’s just a bed and table! Overall we really liked the area and the tent and bedding were clean and very comfortable, had a great stay!
