Escape into a mature coastal forest with hiking trails out your doorway! A private and quiet spot to get away from it all, while still having luxuries such as wifi, power, hot water and a shower. It’s only 20 minutes to the comforts of town (Duncan and Lake Cowichan). There is a swimming hole within a 3 minute drive. Experience a little off grid flavour with a campfire pit and an outhouse with a composting toilet. You will share the 12.6 acre property with a couple of horses and lots of wildlife.The RV is on a flat gravel/grassy space with room for sitting, relaxing, and dining. Forest trails start right off the pad and you can hike over various terrain from flat to steep on about 10 acres in a mature forest. The RV has wifi, hot running water, shower, full kitchen (fridge, freezer, stove top, oven, microwave, kettle, French coffee press, cooking basics like pots/pans/dish-ware/utensils) and power. There is a composting toilet and fire pit within less than a minutes walk, which you share with the property owner who lives offsite and visits the property during the daytime. There are no other campers on the property. There is a swimming hole within a 3 minute drive at Sandy Pools regional park and another at Stoltz pools. You can even bike there. The RV has three roof fans that vent to the outdoors and a portable fan inside that you can move around to your liking on hot summer days. There is an 832 sqft cottage under construction up on the slope a good distance away. We will do our best to keep noise and activity to a minimum during your stay. There are a couple of horses sharing the property with you in their own paddock space covering about 2 acres which is off limits to guests (though you can pet the horses over the electric fence).

Fire ban is currently on but if it’s not the forest tends to have lots of kindling if you are willing to gather it but you will want to supply your own firewood.

Tap, hose, pump or well, bottled water or jugs. There is some iron in this water. So it can appear orange and you may prefer to bring in your own drinking water although this is technically potable. There is running water in the RV. There is a water jug hand washing station in the outhouse for extra convenience.

Comfy camper in a beautiful spot

Mystic Maples Forest RV Getaway

This is a wonderful place to visit. The lodging was clean and welcoming, and cozy. The setting is beautiful and peaceful. We enjoyed visiting with the horses, Extra and Sailor, and hearing the owls call as night fell. Heather is a gracious host and we would highly recommend this haven in the woods. Many thanks!

Mystic Maples Forest RV Getaway

Heather’s RV getaway was the perfect setup for my two kids and me. The RV was spacious, clean, comfortable and well-stocked with essentials. We enjoyed seeing the two horses living on the property, and the composting toilet was quite nice. Heather was very responsive and helpful at all times.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Mystic Maples. The site was so quiet and beautiful. Heather was a gem and easy to communicate with. The RV was clean and comfortable and had everything you could need. We wouldn't hesitate to come back.
