We have been creating a homestead in harmony with nature over the past 11 years. We reside year round in the Post and beam straw bale home that was built in 2000. Our current project is building our “aging in place” hemp lime cottage. Once completed it is our plan to build an in ground greenhouse. Additional future plans include building for a music studio, further development of our food forest, and the offering of self development training workshops. This is a great campground - easy to get to, but it feels far away from everything, and super quiet! The campsites are secluded and peaceful, and there's a trail that you can take along the river. Make sure to check out the tree net! This is the perfect getaway, and I definitely recommend staying here.

Revelstoke camping guide

When to go

July through early October are the best months for a Revelstoke camping adventure. Snow can linger in the mountains through June and can start again in October. The Meadows in the Sky Parkway in Mount Revelstoke National Park is usually open from June into October, although the summit area has a shorter season – generally mid-July through September. Revelstoke is busiest in July-August and during the winter, when you can ski from late November into April.

Know before you go

Keep your gas tank topped up when you’re driving through this BC region. There are no gas stations or other services on Highway 1 between Revelstoke and the town of Golden, 150 kilometres to the east on the other side of Glacier National Park.
If you’re traveling east toward Revelstoke from Vancouver, the city of Kamloops, along Highway 1, is a good place to stop for supplies, with big box stores, gear sellers, and local shops.
Revelstoke itself has several outdoor gear shops, grocery stores, and several fun cafes, where you can pick up coffee, baked goods, sandwiches, and other snacks.
