We strive to provide a place to enjoy the peace & quiet of nature, so it's not a place to party or have music loud enough for any neighbours to hear.
Nestled in the heart of the Tamihi Recreational Area, just 20 minutes from town, our property offers a rare blend of seclusion and adventure. Surrounded on three sides by lush, moss-draped forest and bordered on the fourth by the stunning Chilliwack River, it’s a true nature lover’s paradise.
Enjoy a spacious riverside beach, great for swimming during the summer and fall & has world-class fishing. The area features Class I–IV rapids, ideal for whitewater kayaking, with Chilliwack River Rafting just minutes away.
There isn't river access at the sites. The stairs to the beach are through the covered picnic shelter. There is now a light wire fence along the river in riverfront sites for some protection because of the drop-off & undercut banks (not shown in the pictures).
We have an endless network of trails and logging roads, perfect for ATVs (ride directly out of our gate), hiking, and biking. Whether you’re seeking adrenaline or tranquility, this property offers both.
ATV's are idle in - idle out only.
QUIET, well-mannered, leashed pets are welcome if you pick up after them.
LONG WEEKENDS are a minimum of 3 nights.
CHILDREN MUST be accompanied by a parent at all times!
FIREWOOD is $9. for a large feed bag full & is available between 8 AM and 8 PM.
BEEF and EGGS: We have grass-fed Black Angus beef for sale and we occasionally have eggs from our pastured chickens.
Our free-range kind, gentle horses also wander the property. Any interactions with them are at your own risk! The gate must be kept closed because of them.
If you prefer, we have 6 bare-bones fishermen's cabins. All the details are on my Tamihi Meadows site under "Cabins".

Our site was good, right by the river verycalming. Beautiful sunsets. There is a nice swimmable beach. Go there day time if possible for set up as its dark in the dark. Host is strict about visitors but guess it's her property n can be. If u are responsible n respectful to your neighbors n her property you should not have issues.

Our stay was absolutely lovely! Very private, with patches of sunlight through the trees. The view is every bit as nice as the pictures - probably nicer. The fence guarding the riverbank is not all that nice, but it's nice to have it there to catch anything wayward - the bank is too dangerous to be on, though only five or six feet high. We were lucky enough to have no one nearby so we had a forest and a river all to ourselves. Other campers we met were very nice, and we heard nothing at night - except for the river and nature, of course. No services were available for temporary renters (like us), but there was river water in a large tank we carried back to our site. We will definitely be back to Deborah's.

Deborah’s campsite was so peaceful and clean, and we felt very safe during our stay. It was the perfect place to really unplug and relax. We especially loved having a fire at night – such a great spot!

The acreage is rustic and in a natural setting. There are residents as well as tourists like us. There are many sites along the river. There is access to a small beach area. It looks like the space could accommodate groups with a large covered patio, however those facilities need work. If you’re looking for a place to spend the night, with or without power, this location will suffice.

We just stayed for one night but it was great and I have no complaints. There is a wire fencing up now between the sites and the river for safety reasons as there is a steep drop down to the riverbank and it looks like it could be unsteady. This didnt bother us, but it wasnt shown in the photos. The campground was quiet except for some motorbikes/atvs heard in the distance during the day. The road has quite a lot of potholes, but we were able to make it with our small fibreglass trailer while driving slowly. There are no grates ontop of the firepits for cooking. Overall, we had a lovely, relaxing time watching the eagles fly overhead and listening to the sounds of the river.

It is a beautiful campside. Just out of Vancouver. It was a great stop, next to the Chiliwack River. It was nice that we could buy firewoods and fresh meat to eat.
We could really recommend!
A part of the final road is unpaved, but good to drive with a RV even when it drizzles.

Site L4 had a beautiful view of the river and setting sun. I didn't know that fly fishing was popular here and enjoyed watching the fishermen gracefully casting for fish. A pair of Canada geese were nesting nearby and one morning I saw them out with their 7 goslings! The same morning I watched a doe and her two yearlings walk to the water for a drink. Mergansers also like the river and were fun to watch so bring binoculars! I walked a section of the Trans Canada Trail to get to the Tamihi Rapids Recreation Site and was mesmerized by the white water kayakers in training with their coaches. Tamihi Meadows is unique with a lot of character.

We were passing through on our way to Washington and decided to spend the night at Tamihi Meadows—and we're so glad we did! This campsite is a true hidden gem. Nestled right next to the Chilliwack River, it offered a peaceful and scenic place to unwind. The setting is absolutely beautiful, surrounded by nature and the calming sound of the river.
A huge thank you to our host, Debbie, who was incredibly accommodating. She responded quickly to my messages, accepted our last-minute reservation, and even helped us switch campsites without any hassle. Her kindness and responsiveness made our short stay even more enjoyable.
We’ll definitely be coming back the next time we’re in the area. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a quiet and charming spot to camp!

I loved the campsite—the environment was beautiful and peaceful. The host was friendly and welcoming. The private campground offered much more privacy than a provincial campground. Overall, it was a great experience. I definitely recommend it to anyone looking to enjoy camping. Just be sure to bring your own toilet and water, as these amenities are not provided.
