Camping in a natural sandstone amphitheatre with amazing wildlife at your campsite on Eurella, Glen Alice. Set in the heart of the Capertee Valley, consisting of 4000 acres of freehold land, the grounds are located off the public road. The property raises horses, cattle & sheep with private trails to ride a bicycle or walk; cliffs to climb and caves to explore, all at the base of the majestic Tyan Peak. No recreational motor bike activity, four wheel driving pursuits or shooting permitted. Our campers are seeking solitude, tranquility and peaceful moments with nature. Just 2 hours west of the Sydney fringes and in the centre of the amazing Capertee Valley, close to award winning vineyards at Rylstone and Mudgee, Glow Worm Tunnel and Dunns Swamp; all perfect day outings from your base of solitude in a space with very few campers within a kilometre of your camp. Perfect for group bookings, celebrations, music & wellness events, bird watching or simply enjoy the creative spaces. You will need your own supply of fresh drinking water, toilet paper, generator if you need power and of course, food and beverages! There are chemical toilets on site for your convenience. There is no mains power and internet is very patchy. Bring your own Starlink mobile for easy access to the internet whilst away; perfect solution for those unable to disconnect. Starlink Mobile can be switched off when back home so you are only charged when away relaxing! Perfect! Keeps the kids busy too, if they are tired of chasing balls in the vast open areas of the campground. Unique birdlife, reptiles, kangaroos, wallabies, goannas, echidnas, wombats & spiders! This particular area was the pilgrim site for the Wiradjuri First Nation where they conducted ceremonies at the base of the Spiritual Tyan Peak. There is no other freehold land closer to the Peak. CCC is renowned as a special place for healing; powerful grounding experiences have occurred here in the past. If you want a free spirited, nature experience, there is no other campground offering privacy, exclusive camp areas with multitudes of bush climbs! Generally you will not share this space with many campers at one time. Perfect place for mediation, writing, creative arts and relaxingThis is a primitive campground with patchy internet and holds a Leave No Trace policy. Total privacy is guaranteed on this open 150 acres with access to kms of bushwalking, bird watching, local sight seeing to vineyards, Dunns Swamp for canoeing and exploring caves, Two National Parks, swimming waterholes nearby, local farm cafe, Glow Worm Tunnel day trip, Glen Davis Historic Shale Mine tour, travel to historic Hill End & visit Rylstone for local cafes, great diverse meal experiences including the famous Naa Lan Yum Cha & art galleries and eclectic shops. This incredible location is a must for the traveller wishing to experience the heart of the widest canyon in the world! The valley was the birthplace for the indigenous women of the Wiradjuri tribe;  the first inhabitants of this land for over 50,000 years; the location has a powerful, healing presence . There are private extensive bush fire trails at the camping ground, escarpments and caves within Eurella's boundaries for the campers to enjoy bush walks, bird watching and rock climbing. CCC is the perfect location for photography, meditation, song writing, painting and all forms of creative past times. This extensive natural amphitheatre has been the host of music festivals with over 7000 on site. The campgrounds is also available for private, exclusive events, music & wellness festivals, parties, weddings and other celebrations. Drones allowed but to be used with respect to others privacy and not to alarm stock by swooping too close. Plenty of horses, sheep, cattle and dogs if you seek the need to get a feel of being on a working enterprise. Your hosts, Lyn & Bruce Richardson operate a cattle & horse operation and offer farm tours; booked through HC. Enjoy CCC and leave the camp grounds revived and relaxed, ready for your onward journey. Canyon Country Camping is without a doubt the most amazing place we have stayed. We keep coming back for the beautiful surroundings and peaceful relaxing days and nights around the camp fire. There is so much space if you are looking for a little privacy for your trip. Lyn is an absolutle amazing host, super friendly and welcoming. Thanks Lyn for another amazing weekend at your site.

We had the most amazing stay at Canyon Camping! The property was beautifully maintained and surrounded by incredible natural scenery. The location is the perfect balance between feeling remote and peaceful, yet still being easily accessible. The host (Lyn) was so warm, welcoming, and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. You can tell that they genuinely care about the experience they provide. The property was spotless, with multiple campsites to choose from. Whether you’re there for a quiet weekend, a hike through the canyon, or just to disconnect and unwind, this property ticks all the boxes. It’s perfect, and we will definitely be back. Highly recommend Canyon Camping it’s an absolute standout!

It was wonderful to see Canyon Country Camping open back up after a long closure, and even more exciting that we were the first guests back. It is truly a magical part of the world. The canyon itself is stunning, with rock faces on three sides. The wildlife is incredible; hundreds of kangaroos and wallabies, quite a few wombats, and lots of bird species. There was plenty of firewood on the ground. Lyn was a wonderful host. I can't wait to return.

Great spot, easy to find. Super spacious and friendly host. Great bonfire 🔥 on Saturday night. Made it to the top of the 4 sister after a 2 hour hike. Clean toilets and plenty firewood around to keep you warm.

Bruce and Lyn have a gorgeous property with stunning 360 degree views from all campsites. We felt very welcome by our hosts and enjoyed the welcome to country smoking ceremony. Even though there were other campers present, it felt like we had the place to ourselves. Our only complaint could be, we wished we planned to stayed longer. We highly recommend this beautiful piece of Australia.

Lyn is a great host, excellent communication and her place is beautiful. Close enough to town where you don't have to worry but far enough (away from reception) you feel you've escaped. Portaloos are the cleanest I've ever experience and there is plenty of space and privacy (we had campsite 2 all to ourselves on a weekend). Highly recommended and will be coming back!

What an amazing few days where spent, fortunate enough to get a starry sky the first night by the camp fire and experience some of the walks on the property. Plenty of space to spread out and the grounds were well maintained. Lyn and Bruce were absolutely lovely and so glad we were able to have a chat with them. If you bring a dog you can expect wide spaces for playing with the ball or going for walks with lots of scents, coming home with one tired pup. Can’t wait to be back again!

Thank you to Lyn for sharing your land with us, its wonderful to wake up surrounded by the mountains and to see the colours changing over the course of the day. We chose this property in particular because we enjoy camping on farmland, however, we only had access to a low 2WD vehicle for this trip, and Im happy to say it was 2WD accessible. Lyn provided a very informative flier at the beginning of the trip and the toilets were regularly serviced. I note there is a good amount of firewood to be foraged on the land also. One point to add is that we are both on Optus carriers and we had no service until we reentered the neighbouring town, if this is of importance to you it may be good to know for preparing beforehand :). Overall, we enjoyed our stay, and would happily come back again :).
