Thanks for having us. We had a great time. 2 families with 4 young kids between us.
Plenty of space for the kids to run and explore.
We had a low caravan and 2WD SUV and weren't able to get up the drive, but our friends were able to tow us in with their 4wd. We should have confirmed this prior to arriving.
The property itself has goats, alpacas, cows and ponies- maybe more and the kids loved visiting these.
Many options of tracks for bush walking too.
Plenty of wood available to collect for campfires.
And so many beautiful butterflies!!
Thanks again for having us.
Tallarook hotel is worth going to for a meal and close to Seymour for some exploring/cafes/ playgrounds.
The bush camps are very pretty and set among amazing gum trees. The sites we were at were well spread out from other campers for plenty of privacy. Lots of walks to do on the property and a good drive around the property to explore the beautiful land (lots of hills and gates) we met the animals and got to feed them which was a huge bonus and so much fun. Rock ring fires in the ground are set up ready for you to have that toasty camp fire which was lovely, however when you book they have the option to purchase firewood (which we did for and extra fee) it was said this would be left at your camp. We had in mind this would be good quality logs and kindling of sorts but it was just wood collected from the bush around camp. So if you are perfectly capable to collect it yourself as we were, then don’t waste your money on this option. Another option they had on booking was to purchase their freerange eggs which we also chose. And we never received. Even checked out the chicken coop on departure and couldn’t see anything. The communication was ok but would have been great to know how to go about collecting our eggs we purchased so we didn’t waste our money and also was very hard to know where we could and couldn’t camp. So apart from extras that you don’t actually get this place was quite lovely. Peaceful. Relaxing. Pretty. And views from the top of the hills are beautiful. Animals are a bonus. Beware the hill in and out of camp is very steep and rocky. 4WD preferable.
Loved the area quiet & very pretty. Only downfall was the road in, super steep a lot of ruts and sharp rocks, we left a day early due to work commitments and lucky we did as we missed the rain, not sure we would have made it out of the track while it was wet. We drove a Mazda CX-5 with a trailer and it was a little iffy. The ad definitely advised there was 4wd roads but it read as if there was an alternative when there really wasn’t. We did survive though and thoroughly enjoyed our time such a pretty spot!!

Secluded location with good views from the top of the hill. Kids enjoyed the walk and seeing the various farm animals.
Only real negative was the camp area was dense with weeds so hard for the kids to run around.
Stunning property and campsite.
It was private from other campers and we have heaps of space and a beautiful view of the region. The sunset from the top of the hill was spectacular. We loved staying here & will go back again.
Great trip as always. The site was easy to find and we'll definitely come again. Thanks!
