Please do not dig 'toilet holes' on the property!
- Dogs are welcome, and arrangements for dog-care can be made while you explore the nearby national parks and bike trails. Fees apply.
- The river and dam are deep and unfenced. Constant supervision of children by their parents or guardians while on the property is mandatory to ensure safety around water.

It’s peaceful with plenty of space for winding down. You can see the redtail cockatoos that visit us in December plus a nature walk to wander along (ask for details )
The Hipcamp is located away from the main house so is private. There is an artists studio on the property with the main woodfired salt glazing pottery kiln being fired once or twice a year. We welcome visitors to the studio -lots happening at Easter 2026(see photos)
We often have our own eggs, honey, fruit and farm produce for sale.
There is grey water available for topping your tanks up

Drive all the way to the end of the gravel drive go past the main house gate (a large wooden gate) keep going down the track to the farm gate -open and shut it behind you always -line up straight to the bridge and drive straight across it and into the hipcamp
We have camping available during the music festival at Newlands in the New Year Brookhampton Blues in February -Easter for the Donnybrook Apple Festival - the TOMR bike race at the end of October and the Medieval Festival in Balingup as well as available throughout the year depending on the weather

Redgum Hill
Nestled in amongst the red gums on an elevated position near the edge of the property, you will be camping next to the old hay shed. The birdlife here is amazing, with red tailed cockatoos and honeyeaters amongst others frequently visiting.
Please take care whilst exploring around this area, there are some deep rabbit warrens around the hay shed, which can be hidden in the grass in winter.
Valley Vista
Valley Vista is a private and secluded haven, on an elevated spot backed onto state forest looking down over the valley, with arguably the best views of the farm.
Creek Junction
Creek Junction is a peaceful area by the creek line nestled in amongst the trees, where the gully running down the hill meets the creek. One of our three dams is hidden in amongst the tea tree bushes nearby. You can see the house from this campsite, but it is far enough away that privacy is not an issue.
Please be aware, all of our dams are seasonal and will be very low in the summer months. We also recommend that you do not swim in them.
Hidden Corner
Hidden Corner is situated at the back corner of the property. It is the most isolated of the three campsites with views of the open paddock and across the valley in front of you and state forest behind.
Shed Pad (No longer has bathroom facilities)
Shed Pad is our only powered site (15 amp) situated next to the main shed. It has a patio area with a table and 4 chairs (an extra 2 can be provided if required). WIFI is also available for an additional fee. It is an intimate site, perfect for one large caravan or two small caravans and a couple of swags/tents.
It overlooks neighbouring paddocks and state forest. it is at the entrance to the property next to the main shed and in close proximity to the house.

Pets must be kept on a leash. Lake Preston has a limestone shore, and access is via a limestone track in front of our house. You can paddle your canoe or kayak, or simply enjoy a walk. Please note, the lake is very salty.
Some great nearby spots to visit include the Crooked Carrot Café, Old Coast Road Brewery, Vineyard 28, and Footprints Café at Preston Beach. Both Myalup Beach and Preston Beach offer fishing spots and are dog-friendly.

Murray Valley Camping features campsites that are completely open in nature. Each site is close to the Murray River and is surrounded by nature, so you truly feel far away from the rest of the world. The property is close to the famous Bibbulmun track, with Harvey and Boddington equal distances away, so options to explore the region easily.
Campers can go for walks along the river, relax, and enjoy the sounds of nature. Throw your kayak in for a paddle. Throw a line in and try your luck at fishing. As the day slips away, catch a beautiful sunset, as you toast marshmallows by the campfire (outside of fire restriction times).
There are no toilets or amenities, so all campers need to be fully self-contained in that respect, with their own camp toilet and water, and we ask you to take all waste when you go. There’s also little to no cell reception at the sites.
There is background noise from the nearby conveyer belt that goes on and off randomly. Some people take it as soothing white noise while others think it’s overbearing.
Pet-friendly, so you're welcome to bring your four-legged friend along.

So folks, the idea of this campsite and indeed of the entire property, is that it's intended as a tranquil and quiet retreat for those that wish it to be so. Thanks for understanding.
A small advice for those bringing children, in fact for anyone that intends to swim in or be beside the water, this is a wild and unfenced river access area and all care should be taken in supervision. Please see the site rules.
One more thing, feel free to contact us via Hipcamp if you're interested in staying here but for some reason fall outside of the site parameters listed on this add, we're pretty flexible and in most cases will be willing to accommodate your needs.
Remember, this is camping by the river, not glamping by the pool!

Trigwell is a small rural location 256 km from Perth. We have a lovely peaceful working farm of 500 acres to explore with undulating hills with horses, cattle, sheep, and plenty of wildlife. There is a good chance of them joining you too!
Out here is a star gazers paradise.
Boyup Brook is just down the road ( approx 30km) with a sporting club, cafe, pool, museum, great little shops, pub and a local IGA.
Bridgetown and Collie approx 50 minutes .
There is Trigwell Reserve and Haddleston Springs on our doorstep, as so is the Blackwood River and the Blackwood River Valley.
Lake Towerrinning 20km away, so many walk trails , swims and things to explore. Harvey Dickson rodeo and the Boyup Brook country music festival is a great drawcard every year.
We offer two options to enjoy this beautiful place: A camping area, and a cottage.
Plenty of room to set up camp in the camping area of the property, so choose when you get here. Sit around a campfire (restrictions for fire season, of course) watch a gorgeous sunset, and enjoy a BBQ with a drink in hand.
No toilet for campers, so you'll need to be self-sufficient with your own camp toilet and take all waste with you when you leave.
The cottage is cute and rustic, and has everything you need for a comfortable farm stay.
The Blackwood River is also very close to our place, and Lake Towerrinning is an amazing place to swim , paddle or ski ( approx 20km )At Trigwell Bridge you have access to the riverside which is great for canoeing through to Boyup Brook.
Dogs are welcome (campsite only, possibly cottage on request) but please keep them on leash at all times.
Firewood is provided for free.
Please note there is approximately 25kms of gravel road . If you come in Boyup Brook way thru to Dinninup , there's only a couple of km.
The dam is unsuitable to swim in at present due to the drought.

With nearby watering holes and the Murray river only a short drive away this farm stay is one of a kind as it backs onto state Forrest where the Mundi biddi trail runs past.
This farm is for the caravaners only no tents or swags, small pets allowed but must be kept close and not roaming free.
There are 3 dams close to where you’ll be camping and are not fenced off, so if you’re bringing the kids please be aware of this.
There is a strict - no driving around the property rule as there are other occupants on the property aswell as dry grass. And please by all means if you want to take a walk through the bush then that is absolutely allowed and encouraged, but please do so by using the fire break along the fence line for accessing the state forest and taking that Mundi biddi trail experience.
If the bush walk isn’t for you then laying back watching the kangaroos admiring the beautiful valley views and taking all the serenity of the Forrest in is another option.
These sites require full self contained vans with dumping points available in town. Power and wifi is also available for an additional $10 a per/day
There is bore water available at the camp site and although it’s clean and we use the same water- it is unfiltered.
There is also a small fire pit available but only for the cooler months.
Contact the host prior to your stay if you wish to use power and wifi.

Rachael and Lee’s property is unique, secluded and scenic. They are accomodating and happy to share their local knowledge, easy going and great communicators. Their camp is amazing. If I raised my arm I felt like I could almost touch the red tailed galahs as they flew past. On both nights I was there a frog faced owl visited to share the evening sunset. On dusk the kangaroos and rabbits assembled across the fields. My dogs enjoyed the freedom of open space and not being confined on a leash. I hope I can return to this place over and over again.

We stayed in our tent for 2 nights with our dog and it was peaceful, relaxing and private. We look forward to staying again so we can have a fire next time. Michael’s wife was very helpful and lent us an extension cord as we forgot to pack one.

Very easy booking process. Liz is very communicative and keeps you informed all the time. Place is as described and is amazing. Best of all you are the only ones there. It is far from the main house and buildings so you are totally alone. Great facilities well maintained. Can highly recommend this place and Liz. Will definitely be back.

Fantastic peaceful location, water cool but refreshing to swim, farm animals for the kids to enjoy and open space. The owners were amazing and friendly. It was a relaxing and very enjoyable stay.

Loved our stay! The kids enjoyed the pump track and patting the friendly horses that come to your camp 🫶
Peaceful, safe and not 2 many other campers. The green grass was a bonus 2.
With a short drive into Donnybrook this is a perfect place to escape with facilities close by. Definitely will be back

A nice quiet place to stay, pleasantly surprised to find green grass along the banks of the river, easy to find and enough space to spread out, but I think some people don’t get personal space and must feel secure at times to get closer than really necessary. But all in all a nice place, close to town and a couple of wineries.

We absolutely loved camping at Murray and Marilyn’s land. From the moment we arrived, Marilyn was incredibly welcoming — she came out to greet us and took the time to show us around the property, which made us feel right at home. The campground itself is clean, quiet, and peaceful, making it the perfect place to relax and unwind. It’s clear that they take great care in maintaining the space, and the calm atmosphere made our stay truly enjoyable. We would happily return again.

We had an absolutely fabulous stay at River Rest! Excellent location with plenty to do. Our kids loved the horses and sheep that roam in the paddock with you. Some areas do require a little leveling whilst others are flatter. We arrived at night which in hindsight was not a smart idea however we got stuck in traffic. I would highly suggest arriving during the day to level properly and taking the stress off. Renee was a fantastic host and was extremely responsive to messages. I would not hesitate to stay again! Thank you for having us!

the setting was beautiful plenty of space to set up our van and it was close to towns for a day trip.
murry and Marilyn were friendly and respectful and gave clear instructions, communication was excellent. I would stay here again.

Brookhampton valley farm is a relaxing and serene spot to stop for a few nights . There are other quaint little towns not too far away for a day visit. The views are gorgeous. Murray and Marilyn are lovely hosts

Really handy for Dwellingup and surrounds. Option for electric hook up ideal for those who need it. Great spot for Red tailed black cockatoos as well.

Beautiful scenery and the road down past big rock, the rapis etc was a surprise detour as the bridge was closed. Unfortunately didn't get to see the Wellington dam though.
