We are a family homestead on 5 acres planted out to permaculture principles back in the late 70's with some 40 different varieties of fruit and nut trees to graze on. Our Toobs are repurposed 2.1m diameter by 2.4m deep concrete pipes with one way glass, a queen size bed, 2 small bedside tables, light, power points, electric blanket(winter), pedestal fan (summer)all linen, towel and curtains for privacy. Internal volume is just over 9m3. They've been called glamping pods, concrete tents, micro habitats, sleep stations. . . .but at heart, they're an immersive experience. How they look, where they are, the way you sleep and where you wake up is an altogether novel experience that we feel most people will enjoy. Toobs are serviced by a shared safari-style wash house with hot water shower and composting loo. Our block is on the Rails to Trails beside the Margaret River. Main Street and cafe strip are a short 10 minute forest walk away. We are popular with mountain bikers due to our close proximity (ride to trails) MR's MTB trails. Surfer's Point and Prevelly are 9kms away. We have laying hens, horses, a large and active Ring Tail possum tribe and vegetable garden. CAVEATS: -Just to be clear, we encourage our guests to eat out and we do NOT have kitchen and/or cooking facilities. - Our Toobs are tiny spaces and they are not everyone's cup of tea. Please read the reviews for a fair assessment of what we offer. - Also, we are NOT party people and value your privacy and respect for our rural lifestyle and those of other guests.

The property was originally established as a permaculture project and still features a diverse mix of fruit and nut trees, including avocados, olives and a small grove of truffle oaks near the campground. Guests have shared access to: • A designated campfire area when conditions allow • Communal gas BBQ and meal preparation area • Large undercover shelter • Open grassed space for relaxing after a day exploring This is a self-contained vehicle campground. Guests must bring their own toilet, drinking water and waste storage. The campground occupies approximately two acres on the upper section of the property within a clearly defined guest area. The remainder of the property is private, and guests are asked to stay within the designated campground boundary. We live separately on the property, around 250 metres away, and are available if needed while still giving guests their privacy. Strict quiet hours apply from 9:30 pm. Jaspers Tree is close enough to Pemberton for supplies, cafés, wineries, the chocolate factory and local attractions, while still feeling like a proper country escape. We are fortunate to have the Warren National Park on our doorstep, and a commercial license to operate tours and camping in our National Parks. Graeme and I started WA Wilderness in 2014 as part of our 'Pemberton Discovery Tours' when the then 'Department of Conservation' realised that there were a lot of people who don't do camping due to a multitude of factors; these include: Time, Lack of Equipment, Newbie's who want to 'give it a go' before investing in expensive camping equipment and even baby moons, or camping with little children when every inch of space in the car is precious. So, we operate in the Warren National Park, it is some 8000Ha of National Park and stunningly beautiful Karri Forest, our campsites are located near the Warren River and are separate, so although you may see other campers you are not on top of each other. We set up everything for you, so all you have to do is turn up with your food and your family. To keep our pricing down we offer optional linen, so you can choose to bring your favourite doona. The sites are also unpowered however we offer 12V lighting and the option for a portable toilet. (There is a toilet on site as well.) There are steps leading into the river, the perfect place to paddle or dip your feet. We have a maximum of 8 sites on location here so there is plenty of space for privacy. We are only 15 minutes from the beautiful town of Pemberton, complete with wineries, galleries, restaurants, shopping and much more! You may also wish to join a tour or two - the Pemberton Tram runs daily, and we give you mates rates on our tours. We find our camps are perfect for busy people, who wish to try / go camping and value the opportunity to turn up to a complete camp, set up for you to enjoy from the start.

The exact escape from Perth we were looking for with friendly and welcoming hosts, all the amenities we could need, hot water, and a wonderful stay amongst nature. We had a great time staying in the tiny house (circuse truck) for two nights. Lovely campground, close to Margaret River town and had a great restaurant with amazing breakfast on the menu. I really enjoyed my stay at Toobz & would definitely book again if I were visiting the area - such a gorgeous, quiet, tranquil setting that is super close to town but feels like it is worlds away. Lovely outlook & lots of little birds flitting about. The fairylight bedecked safari style shower is a pretty magical experience, as well. Did not meet the host IRL, but he was very easy to deal with via the Hipcamp messaging Mobility/access info: I'm a 160cm chubby gal in her 50's with a dodgy knee. Given the setting I had anticipated there would be uneven ground & had no problem navigating either the small step up to Toobz 1&2 , or the small step down into the sunken shower base. Two challenges I hadn't reckoned on ahead of arriving however were the significant step up required to access the toilet (upturned milk crate + 2 inches, no hand rail), and the bed being situated significantly higher off the floor than anything I've previously encountered (at waist height for me). I did manage - just - to access both the toilet & bed, but it was a stretch & if I were returning I would definitely bring a low step/stool of the type little kids use to assist me with accessing the loo & the bed. I would also pack a head torch (there is some low wattage path lighting, but also much darkness) + a short extension lead, as the power outlets - in Toob #1 at least - were situated immediately below a shelf & thus could not accommodate any device plugs that require clearance above the power outlet.

3 nights at Toobizmo

Such a beautiful and fun spot to stay! An easy walk or bike ride into the main part of town. Funny wildlife made the stay even better and the beautiful starry night was breathtaking. Richard’s Toobizmo’s are so cute and convenient, the outdoor toilet is like a throne and showers are hot and easy to use, and the surrounding garden is also a lovely highlight. I highly recommend this stay!

2 nights at ShantiVan by the Dam

My partner and I had a lovely stay at Shantivan. The location is just amazing, overlooking a beautiful dam, and surrounded by tall trees and bushland. The outdoor fire is a cozy addition, luckily the rain stayed away and we roasted marshmallows while stargazing which was definitely a highlight! It is located nearby the chocolate factory, lots of wineries/breweries and beautiful beaches to explore. If you’re looking for a secluded, peaceful getaway, Shantivan is the one for you!

Jodie and Dorothee have created a beautifully calming environment, which is genuinely and authentically grounding and nurturing for both the soul as well as the environment. The tiny house has everything you need and is cosy and comfortable. They also have great coffee and breakfasts at the cafe friday-sundays.
