If you are looking for a secluded, quiet camping experience, these remote sites are exactly what you are looking for. Located on over 100 acres of forest and working farm. Just down the road from historic Smithfield, Surry, Jamestown, and a ferry across to Williamsburg. Enjoy the peaceful quiet of camping on the farm. The wild blackberries are coming into season and the nightly fire fly show is amazing. Tons of sunflowers and other wildflowers have been planted and will be in full bloom during July/August.

Pitch your tent next to the picnic table and fire pit. Located on the edge of a field next to wooded area. Just off the access road. Signs will guide you to your site. This is a very secluded area for an escape from the busy world. No light pollution so amazing night sky filled with stars. LOTS of noise pollution from eagles, owls, turkeys, song birds, night time frogs, and other wild life. The most amazing sounds come from the Bob White quail during the day and Whip-poor-will bird in the evening. Old school camping in an awesome location. Fire flies are most visible during the month of May.

Welcome to Camp Crows Nest, a new site this year that overlooks a 22 acre field planted with native grasses and pollinators. That means lots of flowers in the summer with the butterflies and birds as well. Very secluded and far from any other campsite, this spot sits on the field edge with trees at your back and an awesome view. A little tricky to get to as you drive through the forest but we will provide a map upon booking. We will be looking for feedback from our first few campers to see how we can improve it. Thank you for looking and we are excited to share these great campsites with you! this site is not recommended for trailers over ten feet. A tent type site with no hookups.

A NEW campsite this year and a little different from the rest… in the woods under the canopy of the forrest. Our other campsites are on the edge of the field so this one is uniquely different for those that prefer the experience of sleeping under the trees! A slightly longer walk to the outhouse but worth it. Secluded and pristine, we hope our campers love this new spot. Because it is in the woods, there are no camp fires at this site. Camp stoves are fine. Because it is in the woods, any trailer over about 10 feet is not recommended. Though it is in the woods it is still accessible to most cars. We will be looking for feedback from our first few campers to see how we can improve it. Thank you for looking and we are excited to share these great campsites with you! One last note, because this site is in the trees, bug spray is recommended.

Don't have a tent? ... no worries. You can stay in the bungalow. Maybe you want to call it a cabin or a hard tent, or a shed or a shack, either way, it is a place where you can get out of the rain and the bare ground. A nice little porch to sit on and enjoy the serenity of the site. situated on the edge of a native polinator field, next tot he woods to give you a little shade on the hot days. room for a tent if you have a bigger group. a picnic table and fire pit are also at the site. there is toilet a short walk away. this sit is awesome but be aware, there is no electricity or water at the bungalow. Just off the access road. Signs will guide you to your site. This is a very secluded area for an escape from the busy world. No light pollution so amazing night sky filled with stars. Camp Crowsnest
Great lil overnight getaway for me n the pup not far from Richmond. Was able to book day of for some last minute peace. The property was beautiful and quiet both during sunset and sunrise. Evie and her partner helped lead me into the site and offered to be around if need be. My dog loved the attention and love they gave her upon meeting! Definitely would recommend!

This was my second visit and. It has been very pleasant. The place is isolated but as all the amenities described. The site is clean. The site is spacious, there is a trail to get to the site and. I saw deer and wildlife. The check in was done at night and the host was very responsive. A phone call quickly put me on the right location. The place is secluded, if you want to see the sky this is one of the best places in the area if you’re in the 757. I wanted to see the stars but it was cloudy. I still had a great time. Highly recommend

You have a beautiful view of a wide-open field surrounded by trees from the comfort of a shaded campsite in the woods. Easily accessible by 2WD with a turnaround loop and an additional exit. On site features a brand-new full size picnic table with trash bin nearby. Take a walk by the open field for exercise and then retreat to the campsite for rest. I just enjoyed a solo trip there and camped out in my tent. It was a very hot day and the shelter of the trees kept me cool. Nice place, would recommend.

This was my second stay at Cornerstone. The hosts are always so nice and accommodating. They always make sure you have everything you need and then allow you to enjoy their beautiful property in peace. My first stay was a little over a year ago at camp Redfish. This time was at one of their new sites, Camp Crowsnest. Crowsnest is in a different field so you have the whole field to yourself, which is nice. They’ve also added another new site since the last time I stayed there, Camp Flounder, which is a nice spot carved into the woods. They are in the process of building a little cabin at Camp Redfish. That will be a nice option for people once it is completed. I always really enjoy my time here. It’s hard to beat the quiet and seclusion. I would definitely recommend any of their sites if you’re looking for a peaceful getaway to relax and connect with nature.

Nice quiet, clean, spacious spot on the edge of one of their farm fields. Picnic table and fire pit set up there for campers to use. It was absolutely perfect for someone like me driving down south needing a last minute spot to pitch a tent for the night, in order to catch some shut eye before hitting the toad again at 6am.

Great secluded spot to camp. I had the place to myself but the other site was far enough away and out of sight, it wouldn't have made a difference if someone else was there. Would book again.

What a GREAT spot! The directions were spot on. The hosts were great. Greeting me and making sure I had everything I needed and replied to messages quickly. It was very quiet and lovely. I brought bug spray, but they were too bad. Except, I did find a tick on me. So be careful. Nothing can be done about that. I WILL be back to the fabulous spot. Thank you Hosts for making a perfect place for me to pitch my tent.

This was my first HIPCAMP experience and the folks at Cornerstone Farm were amazing. A quick check in to make sure we were settled, generous amount of firewood. Can’t wait until to visit again when the wildflowers bloom.

This campsite was exactly what I was looking for to have a serene and private camping experience. The hosts were very hospitable when I arrived and they showed me all the amenities that I had access to with the campsite. I recommend this place for other Hipcampers and I look forward to coming back in the near future.

Had a quiet relaxing day and night at Camp Trout. If you want to get away from it all, this is the place! Nice level spot with firepit, bench and picnic table. The outhouse is also a nice amenity in such a remote location. I'm an amateur astronomer, and the stargazing was great.

Lovely little and very private place. A bit rugged right before you enter this plot of land but was fine to navigate with my ford transit van. My kids and dog enjoyed the freedom very much and I was able to enjoy some peace with my husband. Perfect for a very quiet getaway.

I enjoyed my time at Cornerstone Farm so much. I stayed at Camp Red Fish which is farther back in the corner of the field. It was so peaceful, secluded, and beautiful. I went as a bit of a retreat to unplug from the world a bit, relax, and go through a good book. It served my purposes perfectly and I would definitely come back again.

Although it rained for about two hours after we got there but once the rain cleared, we set up the tent and enjoyed the peace and quiet, the lighting bugs, cleared skies and a bright full moon. Very enjoyable and not a bad drive from Chesapeake, Virginia. The hosts graciously delivered us fresh eggs from their farm which we enjoyed the following morning.

This was a really neat experience and the two sites were far enough apart as to not disturb. The property was magnificent. I spoke (in detail) with Evie’s husband about their farming, animals on the property, and how I could play my music as loud as I wanted! Absolute serenity! Highly recommend and can’t wait to get a bigger group out there as I was a solo tent camper. Definitely be back again when in the area!!

We loved this spot!! Quiet, serene, clean, and just an all-around enjoyable spot. We didn't stargaze due to the weather, but se hiw beautiful the sky could be without clouds! Evie and her family were super friendly, bringing us a GORGEOUS dozen of eggs (if eggs had a beauty pageant, they'd win!) for $5! The amount of wood (2 nights) we purchased was plentiful, they filled the bird feeders for us, and were just overall nice people.

The land was well managed and maintained. There was firewood at our site already chopped for us. They have an outhouse. It’s carry in carry out. We had a peaceful rest stop for the night. Felt very safe. She even offered us fresh chicken eggs!
