The Whip Stick Forest campsite is located on the outskirts of Bendigo. This is an ideal place to take a break away from it all. Peace and tranquility surrounded by nature. We are just far enough away from the town to offer the outdoors feel and close enough to town to enjoy sightseeing, and many outdoor activities and access to shops, fuel and most of the usual shopping needs. Here you will find a nice open space amongst the gum trees with drinking water, toilet, and outdoor shower. rubbish/recycling bins and access to wifi if needed. Relax under the stars with a warm fire in a secluded spot in the middle of open space and the fresh air. The property is fenced off, so you can feel safe and secure. You can relax and let the kids can run around knowing they are safe inside the camp ground. There are five dogs who live here. They are all friendly and love people. Especially Daz who will be your best friend while you stay here. If you don't like dogs you probably shouldn't stay here as Daz loves people. Only minutes from town where you will find supplies, close to the local swimming pool and 10 minutes from a popular watering hole. Enjoy all that Bendigo and surrounding areas have to offer, check out the historic gold mining attractions and come home to rest in a tranquil setting amongst the trees, the birds and the stars. Bendigo itself features some fantastic heritage architecture and a creative community. Be sure to check out coffee houses down little laneways and the many culinary options of the restaurants in town.

Four of them will leave you to camp in peace, but the Staffy Daz will hang out with you and be your very best friend. 🐶 This is an ideal place to take a break away from it all. A great family safe spot.

Lovely safe flat mowed grass area with a central communal shed for shade and some trees. A great place for children. The power was great with extra long leads to borrow so you can take advantage of most areas on the property. Taps for drinking water. Nicely tucked away from the roads and private from the house but very convenient with the shops less than 3 KMs away. So nice to be next to the State park too with a private gate so you can explore the old gold mining area very easily. The shower and toilet were clean and a definite bonus. The many friendly dogs, cats and birds would delight children. A lovely spot. Recommended.

The camp had a lovely outlook but just around the corner from Bendigo. Perfect if you want to see the town and rest quietly at night.

Excellent location and close to everything, open space with the sounds of country birds. Facilities were close and very clean, able to drive in and out with ease anytime. We had no requirement for power re use of solar power on the caravan roof. Plenty of space and room for a log fire if required.

Great place to set up and explore the area around Bendigo, very private and secure camp . You will get regular visits from Chrissy’s little dog Freyer , just loves to hang out with you while your there , so if your missing the company if your own pet then don’t worry Freyer has you covered 😁 camp area is very spacious and well looked after, loved the peace and quiet there, totally recommend staying there for anyone who enjoys serenity

Doggos!!! We have now stayed here twice and both times have been very fun! Chrissy is super friendly and helpfull. Toilet has been on point. The many fury friends came to say hello. A real nice vibe.

The space was wonderful, slightly rocky for tent pitching. Shower and toilet are available, clean and reliable. Wonderful to engage with the many animals, and bask in the quiet that is, Whip Stick Forest.

Chrissy was a great host. Greeted us with a friendly smile and asked if there was anything we needed. The location was great, with just a short drive into Bendigo and the Whipstick Forrest. The sites were nice and flat, and plenty of room to afford privacy from other campers. Would highly recommend to anyone!

We loved how convenient locating the campground was! Quiet place with flat and spacious ground and friendly hostess! Was the perfect stop overnight for my kids, husband and I. Happy to come back on our next trip.

Chrissy has an amazing property with an unbelievable set up. In a really good location, the paddock was spotless and ideal for campers looking to sleep, cook and even shower. I couldn’t recommend a stay here enough.

Loved camping here. We are not seasoned campers per se but needed to camp when we decided to go to Bendigo last minute and there was no accommodation available. The owners were very friendly and the amenities were great. Very well set up and if you're lucky you might get a visit from a very cute cat. If we planned to go to Bendigo again, we would definitely consider staying here again. Overall would recommend.

Very peaceful , but not far from civilisation/shops and tourist attractions . Chrissy, Judy and their furry family were extremely warm, friendly and helpful. Was nice not being in another caravan park on top of everyone else. Will definitely be staying again 🤩

This is a lovely quiet place with only 4 sites. Great to have a flushing toilet available. We didn't use the gas heated rustic shower but it looked fine. Handy for visiting Bendigo. The dogs are really friendly.

We got to Chrissy’s place and were welcomed by her and Daz. She showed us to our spot and all the facilities and everything we needed to know. Was a great stay and well set up. We will definitely be staying here again 😍 10/10

Chrissy's land was incredible. Very local to town but once you return to your camp site you feel like you in the middle of the bush. Hot shower and toilet available and friendly pets that greet you at the gate. Highly recommend ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
