It's a great spot to check out the surrounding areas. The camping area is spacious and quiet.
The river is beautiful and swimming is fantastic from Wayne's property. He also supplies kayaks for your use.

We loved our time at The Old Blackwood Timber Mill. Wayne is a fabulous host. The camping area is exceptionally well maintained. We will definitely visit again. While you’re there, do yourself a favour and pick up some eggs, they are AMAZING!

The most perfect spot to camp for our young family! There was something for everyone, including our dog! The location has great spots for fishing, swimming and sitting around a campfire. The owner is lovely and very welcoming. We are definitely going to be coming back!

The Old Blackwood Timber Mill
This is the best camp we have ever stayed at. Right by the Bemm River, kayaks provided at no extra cost, beautiful bush and birdlife as well as close to the village of Bemm River and multiple swimming and fishing opportunities. A decent and clean ladies and a gents toilet and sink. Wayne was very knowledgeable, friendly and generous with his time. We had the first 2 nights to ourselves and on the third a group of 3 couples arrived. Despite being close in proximity we had complete privacy. Definitely coming back!

Really great spot, nice and quiet. Small walk to the river where there was a massive school of mullet, there are a few other types there but they proved to be elusive for me. Wayne has kayaks for use to paddle around. Good toilet facilities. Planned to stay one night but stayed one more just because it was so great. I'll be back.

We were doing a road trip from Melbourne to Gold Coast stopped in at Wayne’s for the night.
This was a great spot would be amazing in the summer with the creek close by.
Wayne was super friendly and helpful.
Amenities where clean and easy to access
Will be stopping here again in the future

Such a beautiful, peaceful spot to stay, beside the Bemm River by the State Forest. There was plenty of room to feel private with other campers, the sound of the river was lovely and access to a clean toilet was a treat. Wayne was friendly, helpful giving suggestions of where to go and had firewood for us to purchase to burn. We had a fabulous 4 nights and could easily have stayed longer. Highly recommend.

Such a well maintained property and perfect for myself and dog. Hosts were so kind and understanding with my last minute booking and even had the fire ready for me when I arrived after dark, making me feel safe and welcome. Stars were an extra highlight! Highly recommend.

Awesome place! We met Maria upon arrival and helped us lighting the fire. The place has clean toilets, chopped wood ready for the Firepit, it is quiet and have the river just 2 minutes walking distance.
We loved camping here with our dog!

Quiet, tidy, friendly host, plenty of room. The toilet cubicles could do with a good scrub and, most needed, steps should be provided to access the toilets because the hill is quite steep.

Fantastic place by the river! Wayne and his wife are great people. Definitely stop by the men’s shed in town for some smoked venison sausages. They’ll keep you going!

We stayed 2 nights in a tent so it was a bonus to have a toilet onsite. Beautiful property right on the river. Peaceful setting with the sound of nothing but the water and the birds. Great spot to spend cold nights in front of the fire!

Best spot in Bemm River I say…, but don’t tell everyone. Lush spacious grounds and friendly, hospitable host. Great river access for kayaking and just far enough out of town to avoid all the noise and nonsense at the Caravan Park. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Peaceful camp with plenty of space. Lovely sound of the river to fall to sleep to. Fire pit was great and the bird life included Black Cockatoos, Blue Wrens Silver Eyes and many others.
Just a short 5min drive to Bemm central.
Wayne is a perfect host and I thoroughly recommend this stay. Cheers 😀

We enjoyed our tent stay at Wayne’s spot. Great and warm greetings on arrival. Lots of shade and social toilet on the ground. Access to the river a bit limited from the ground but you may enjoy the river when come out of the ground spot getting to Bemm river. 2 km walking distance if you like to walk. Local shop with everything you need as last minute, gas, milk ets. Coffee shop on the river is open early as well.
Good spot to relax and you may find excluding spot if you wish,
