SIBA Retreat Centre is a beautiful and friendly Buddhist retreat centre in the Snowy River country of East Gippsland, Victoria. Formerly ONTOS, it was founded by Lama Choedak Rinpoche and formally opened and consecrated by His Eminence Chogye Trichen Rinpoche in 2006. During this time His Eminence gave the centre the dharma name 'Tsarchen Choeling'. SIBA has all the conditions for the perfect retreat. Simply being at SIBA calms the senses and heals the mind. SIBA is a welcoming and peaceful refuge and its unique atmosphere is well known to visitors.

SIBA Retreat Centre is a beautiful and friendly Buddhist retreat centre in the Snowy River country of East Gippsland, Victoria. Formerly ONTOS, it was founded by Lama Choedak Rinpoche and formally opened and consecrated by His Eminence Chogye Trichen Rinpoche in 2006. During this time His Eminence gave the centre the dharma name 'Tsarchen Choeling'. There are many beautiful locations for tents and campervans on unpowered sites. Campers need to bring their own equipment. There is an amenities block with toilets and hot showers. SIBA has all the conditions for the perfect retreat. Simply being at SIBA calms the senses and heals the mind. SIBA is a welcoming and peaceful refuge and its unique atmosphere is well known to visitors. Siba is a Dharma centre located in the beautiful wilderness of the snowy mountains. We have a Dharma library, daily meditation practice, weekly yoga, and a professional chef onsite.

Campers need to bring their own equipment. There is an amenities block with toilets and hot showers. Located on the edge of stringybark forest,  your neighbours are the birds and wallabies. SIBA has all the conditions for the perfect retreat. Simply being at SIBA calms the senses and heals the mind. SIBA is a welcoming and peaceful refuge and its unique atmosphere is well known to visitors. A peaceful, tranquil place of refuge for all,  located in the beautiful wilderness of the snowy mountains.

Located on the edge of stringy bark forest in the beautiful wilderness of the snowy mountains., the SIBA cabins are very peaceful... your neighbours are the birds and wallabies. Cabin 4 has a queen size bed and 1 bunk (2 single beds) . The cabin is open space with bedroom, kitchenette and lounge. A wood burner heats the space up nicely in the winter. Fire wood is provided. Kitchenette is simple yet adequately supplied for all your cooking needs. If there is need for more, access is available to commercial kitchen in the main house where where fridge and freezer are provided. Guests have access to the spaces in the main house, such as the commercial kitchen and the communal lounge / dining areas. As well, the multi faith temple for any body work / meditative practices. The cabins do not have their own bathroom or toilet, these amenities are an easy 2 min walk from the cabin. There is no WiFi or phone range in the cabins. WiFi is only available and limited to the area around the main house in reception, lounge and dining area. It is possible to work remotely from the Dining area, there is a certain degree of privacy and internet is stable. If planning to drive to or though Jindabyne, on Barry's way, please do your own research for whether your car is suitable to dirt road conditions. Please also take note of our cancellation policy.
