Our property is located in the historical town of Maldon in Central Victoria. The campsites are among some huge granite boulders and undulating farm land. The property overlooks the Nuggety Ranges and Mount Tarrengower to the south east and the Pyrenees Ranges in the distance which provides us with some of the most stunning sunsets. Take a ride on the Victorian Goldfields Railway, explore the Maldon Markets or take a ride or a walk on the Catlemaine to Maldon trail. We are also close to a number of great wineries where you can sample local wines and produce. There are also a number of other great restaurants in the area. We are also within easy reach of Mount Alexander Regional Park which has a number of beautiful walking trails and lookouts. Pets are welcome but must be kept on a leash at all times to ensure the livestock are protected.  Campfires are allowed in the fire pit provided pending there are no restrictions in place. We have tank water available.

Site 3 offers an exclusive area, situated at the end of the access drive (no passing traffic), large enough to enjoy the surrounding farmland while sheltered from sun and wind (depending on direction). Situated on the south/east side of the hill with view across to the Nuggety Ranges and Mt Tarrengower, often having magical sunrises (even on some winter days). Some leveling maybe required for larger caravans, motorhomes or campers. Can accommodate a couple of medium caravans, swags and tents.... Some leveling may be required, although many campers set up directly on the site as it is, some will use wheel chocks to lift one side etc...

Site 4 Tarrengower Views

Site 4 is located south west of the hill, the site has a level caravan / camping pad, making for an quick setup. Looking back across to Mt Tarrengower and out to Cairn Curran Reservoir in the distance - very picturesque, tranquil and relaxing.

Site 2 High on the hill

Site 2 is located on the north facing side of the hill, has views across to the Pyrenees mountain ranges (some 80k away). The site is large enough for a couple of medium caravans / campers and a swag or two. Larger groups often book site 1 & 2 as they are near each other and a little removed from the remaining sites, giving plenty of room to have fun.

Site 5 sits a little lower than all other sites but is spacious enough to accommodate 2 medium caravans. The site looks into a small valley of granite rocks then out across the paddocks toward Cairn Curran Reservoir in the distance. Super sunsets are often seen from this point, and a huge gum tree provides shade across the site from the evening sun. Some leveling may be required, although many campers set up directly on the site as it is, some will use wheel chocks to lift one side etc...

This site is situated adjacent to a massive old gum tree that offers awesome shade, you'll share this location with "in your face boulders" of granite. It's truly a picturesque location, often spotting a super sunset. Site 1 is medium size and will fit a good sized caravan while also suitable for tent camping. Looking out across to the Pyrenees Ranges (around 80k away) makes for some super sunsets. Private enough to feel comfortable while being near site 2 - larger groups with multiple caravans, campers and tents could easily book both site 1 & 2 giving plenty of room to have fun while being distanced from other campers. Some leveling may be required, although many campers set up directly on the site as it is, some will use wheel chocks to lift one side etc...

Slightly sloping toward Cairn Curren Reservoir, this site is picturesque, with excellent summer sunsets across a small valley Please note: - This site gets a but boggy in winter and will be closed off around mid year. Fantastic place to stay. Nathan and Kim were very welcoming and the site had amazing views of the countryside. We were lucky to have a lightning show on our 1st night. We stayed in site 2. I would def recommend staying here.

Site 6 Granite Valley
We had a great weekend here. The space was open and peaceful, with plenty of room for our 4-year-old kids to explore safely. They spent hours looking for bugs and exploring the area. One afternoon, one of Nathan’s dogs came to visit and the kids loved throwing sticks and playing with it for the rest of the afternoon. It was a bit windy at times, which worked well for flying kites and gave us a really enjoyable morning. Overall, it was a very good experience and we would happily return.

Nathan is an incredible host with such a lovely camp site! The views from Site 2 are amazing, we enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere. Will definitely come back again. Thanks Nathan :)

We got really good directions on how to get to the campsite. From the entrance, we felt super safe due to security measures at the site. Shortly after arriving at the site, Nathan brought us the firewood we asked for and a fire bucket to put out the fire. He offered us a fresh water as well. So, I guess if you'd need anything, all you need to do is ask The views were pretty great too. It's sort of on a high section, where you could see the 360 view. There's little to no light during night, so it is so easy to see stars. It's a pretty cool site. If you're planning to stay in a tent on the ground, I recommend site 1 since there are few extra trees that blocks the wind a bit. Site 2 is not bad, it was a touch difficult to put us the tent due to heavy winds the day we went. Around 7-8, when the sun was going down, there were a few Kangaroos around the site. Checking us out. And there was plenty of space for our puppy to run around. Had a great time running around. The 9m leash we had was clearly not enough. I guess we could have easily used a 15-20m leash. There was quite a bit of space there. Overall, pretty good place. Highly recommend!

The views were great from site 6. The flies were to be expected. Nathan was a super host and greeted us. I would recommend if towing a van; an off-road caravan for the clearance over some areas.

Site 2 High on the hill
Stunning, peaceful spot - perfect for a camping getaway. The campfire was nice, and the flat grounds made pitching our tent super easy. Being so close to the Loddon River was ideal for our fishing. Beautiful views all around - lots of ground for our dog to run around.

This Hipcamp is amazing. There was so much for the kids to explore and the views were great. Sites were well spaced and we even though site 3 was quite sloped, there is a flat enough spot that we managed to get the caravan level with our ramps. The instructions and communication were helpful and we thought it was lovely that Nathan came to check on us after a short but quite wild storm blew through. So much to do in the area too.

The views on site 2 are beautiful with the mountains in the distance and the hills with rock boulders near by. The sunset was spectacular and we had a great time by the campfire. Nathan was a great host and very responsive.

We loved Nathan's block. The space between sites meant there was plenty of space for the kids to explore the bush, and there was always a different setting for their games. The fresh eggs made for the best lunch and the clear skies gave us perfect views of the stars under a bright moon - We would definitely look to come back. Not sure if it was just the season, but there were a lot of flies around, perhaps we should have expected this for a farm but it's not enough for us to be put off!

Nice hilltop sites set amongst granite boulders that provide panoramic views of the surrounding country side but can be a little windy. Friendly host with free range eggs.

Perfect. We loved our stay at Picture Point. The 360' views are amazing. Very easy to locate with detailed instructions. Fun to watch the sheep wander around. Highly recommend, we will definitely return.

Had a great time at Site 5 on Pebbleridge Views. Plenty of space between sites and had nice views. We forgot to pack our water on this trip and Nathan was nice enough to supply us with a large water tank. Got to see the roaming sheep pretty close and spotted groups of wallabies/kangaroos not to far off too.

Such a lovely property. So quiet. Perfect location to do day trips to Castlemaine, Bendigo and Maryborough. Nathan greeted us with fresh eggs laid that day, and made sure we were happy. Loved this Hipcamp- gave us the time to stop and reset.
