Local gem!
3 m travel trailer · With kids · This is one of those sites that you turn up to expecting it to be nice, and then it really exceeds your expectations with the most amazing toilet, great water pressure, brilliant sunsets, and hosts with great stories!
Who doesn't love power, flat places to park, nice walks, hills for the kids to coast down on their bikes, plenty of shadey spots throughout the day and a town just up the road?
This camp is just an hour away for us, so we'll definitely be back. We loved the convenience, the amenities, the history, the birdlife and adventure walks.
The directions were clear, the signage is great, the amount of wood per barrow was generous, the hosts are warm and welcoming.
The main road can be a little noisy on long weekends (the sound travels up the hill, but you're well back from the road so its not overly intrusive) and I suspect during wet weather that you'd want a 4wd or risk dodgy access on the slope. But those are my only 2 very very minor considerations in a BIG list of great attributes for this camp-site!
