Kindness Knook was a beautiful place to stay and very well set up with a shower and toilet facilities and camp kitchen facilities and camp tables and chairs.
The host Windsor, was very kind and friendly.

Windsor is an amazing host—he was incredibly helpful with everything we needed throughout our stay. We came as a group of 8 adults, 2 kids, and 1 dog, and everyone absolutely loved the camp.
There was plenty to do: we played basketball, enjoyed boating on the pond, and spent a lot of time sitting by the water, which was so refreshing and relaxing. The bathroom was really clean and well maintained, which we truly appreciated. The fridge in the kitchen was also very handy for a big group like ours.
Overall, a fantastic place to stay—we’d happily come back and highly recommend it to others.

A very warm welcome and genuine concern that we had all we needed to make our stay pleasant. Great facilities, very clean. So many things for the kids to do, including bikes and bike tracks!

This property was lovely and quiet and was wonderfully presented with the camp kitchen, grassed area by the dam, the sheltered fire pit, mini golf and basketball areas.
I booked this for a large family gathering and it was great to have friends and family stay the weekend and have the facilities including the toilet and shower block. The kids loved the kayaks, yabbying and night time walks through the bush.
It certainly was a lovely spot for a weekend away.

Even before you arrive at the Kindness Knook you know it's going to he great from the communication you receive from Windsor. The camp itself is so sweet, lots of options for activities including kayaking, walks, basket ball, mini golf, and checking out local wildlife. Windsor is also very thoughtful, providing information on local attractions. The wood was cut and the fire lit. The bathroom was spotless and the shower was hot!
Cannot recommend this stay highly enough.
This is also a very disability accessible friendly camp. Whole a wheelchair might struggle with the incline to the bathroom, there is a ramp and most of the camp is flat. The camp is meticulously maintained.

What a fantastic campsite! I took my kids there for their first camping experience and they had a great time! Lots of fun with the bikes, kayaks, ball hoop and bush golf. Great facilities and the hosts were very accommodating and helpful

We had a lovely weekend. There's lots of space and lots to do. Facilities are great and so are the hosts. Lovely place for anyone travelling to base themselves while exploring beautiful Bendigo and surrounds, a weekend getaway or a catch up with family and friends.

We loved would be an understatement.
The camp are is great. It has clean toilets, clean kitchen, great outside space for camp fire, power and above all Windsor. For us the highlight of the trip was Windsor himself. Kindness is in Windsor and Kerri's soul.
He is there helping you, getting the fire ready and best of all his humour.
We were amazed on how genuine he is.
There are few activities including walking trails.
Windsor and Kerri, thanks for welcoming us to your home that you have built bit by bit and keeping others in mind.

Such a lovely spot not too far in the middle of no where still close enough to civilisation but a real rural camping experience at the same time. We took our 7 month old puppy for his first camping trip. Such accommodating hosts setting up a fire every night. The amenities were clean and stocked.
- Plumbed in toilets and a shower with hot water
- Plenty of cover for rainy days
- Kitchen essentials to keep food fresh
- BBQ free to use
- Fun activities. Basket ball, mini golf and kayaking on the lake
Just all round a really well thought out spot we will be staying again
Plus got to see plenty of Roo’s

We had a wonderful stay at Kindness Knook! The name truly captures the spirit of the place, especially the host, who went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable throughout our visit. He personally checked in on us to make sure we had everything we needed. When the weather turned windy and he noticed we were staying in a tent, he generously offered us a trailer to use, such a thoughtful and kind gesture!
The campground itself is peaceful, clean, and very well-maintained, with excellent amenities. There’s plenty to do in the surrounding area, so you’ll never be bored, but it’s also the perfect spot to just unwind and connect with nature. We saw lots of wildlife during our stay, including kangaroos, cockatoos (kakatua), and other beautifully coloured birds. It’s such a nice feeling to spend the weekend immersed in nature like that.
If you’re looking for a welcoming, relaxing place to stay with a genuinely kind host, Kindness Knook is the perfect choice. We’ll definitely be coming back!

We had such a wonderful stay at Kindness Knook!
The site was beautiful and spotless, with clean toilets, a hot shower, washing basin, BBQ, and a fire pit!
Windsor and Kerri were so welcoming and thoughtful, even leaving us water and milk in the fridge, which was such a lovely surprise. Our dogs loved their little walks under the trees, and we enjoyed watching kangaroos hopping by in the evenings.
A peaceful and well-kept spot with great hosts!

Had such a great camping trip @ kindness knook! Loved being surrounded by wildlife – so peaceful and relaxing. The covered fire pit area was awesome, perfect for cooking and hanging out at night. Toilets and hot showers were a big plus too, everything was clean and well looked after.
The host was super kind and caring, really made us feel welcome. Couldn’t have asked for a better camping experience. Definitely recommend to anyone wanting a comfy spot in nature! 🌿🔥🦘

Kindness Knook lives up to its name. Windsor and Kerri make very caring hosts, communicating well and giving a thorough description of all the services at their well equipped property. They even got the fire going for us so we were greeted by its warmth when we arrived back at camp in the evening. We loved seeing the roos too. Thanks for a lovely stay!

We stayed at Kerri and Windsor’s beautiful site over the King’s birthday weekend. Greeted by friendly kangaroos as we set up camp. The kids zoomed off riding the bikes at the site, setting off to explore the area as we set up camp. Which we did just before the rain set in for the three days!
During our stay our hosts (and fellow campers) went above and to look out for our family of four. Windor’skindly organised an additional tarp to be erected whilst we were out and set up a cozy undercover area with a fire to enjoy out of the rain.
The campsite was well appointed with a kitchen area, bbq, two toilets and a hot shower! There were also a range of equipment for kids and big kids to play with and use to explore the surrounding area.
Even with the rain we had a wonderful time, taking the opportunity to explore Bendigo’s tourist attractions and history.
Of course the sun came out as we packed up, but we will be back… potentially with a caravan.
Thanks to Windsor and Kerri for liking our first us.

Kindness Knook is a wonderful family escape, remote enough to feel like you’ve really got away, but with all the convenience and amenities Bendigo has to offer. Added bonuses were the hot shower and fantastic array of kids activities on the property. We were up on a rainy weekend so didn’t get to make the most of the outdoor activities on offer, but it was great all the same. Windsor and Kerri are such warm and considerate hosts, checking in on us often and Windsor even popped up a shelter for us outside our tent to help keep us a bit drier with the non-stop rain! We will definitely be back next time!! Thanks for a lovely stay Windsor and Kerri! 🥰

Our stay at Kindness Knook was amazing! Despite the wet weather, Windsor went out of his way to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Our pup also had a great time exploring the property and watching the kangaroos!
Facilities are great, clean flushing toilets, hot running water and power on site was such a luxury!

Both Kerry and Windsor are very welcoming and very accomodating hosts to all the guests to ensure their stay in constant rain very enjoyable
Their facilities are great from the flushing toilets.a hot shower and dish wash up area also made the stay very comfortable for us all
Windsor even opened up a new undercover fire area to ensure we all were warm and dry to stqy out of the constant rain
Both were there to say good bye and it felt like they were already family

Great area to relax unwind. There's a pond nearby the campsites and the facilities are also just few metres away from the Camp sites.
The communal fireplace is at the centre which is a nice touch so you can meet other campers and socialise, unfortunately for us we were the only one's there when we camped there.

The space is so good, it’s like being in the bush, but only a short drive to some lovely towns. We found it hard to tear ourselves away from the morning fire to go and see some things! The amenities are great, a very rustic toilet and shower block that lacks nothing! Windsor and Kerrie are lovely and accomodating. This place is not to be missed!

Our family loved our stay at Kindness Knook. Kayaking, feeding the kangaroos, great facilities were all highlights. Windsor was very accommodating and flexible as the first night of weather was less than ideal, excellent communication.

Nothing is too much for the amazing hosts. Genuinely lovely, kind people. Windsor is a great & down to earth host.
I just wish we could have stayed longer!
We will definitely be making a tradition of camping at Kindness Knook regularly.

We loved using the kayaks, having the bbq stuff and some kitchen utensils and spotting kangaroos around. But the best part was Windsor’s friendliness, always ready to help and share tips. We had such a great time!

We had a fantastic stay at the Kindness Knook. The wonderful hosts took time out to meet us on arrival, and touched base throughout the weekend.
Great facilities and plenty for the kids to do, with multiple kayaks, bikes, balls etc. all on hand free to use. Friendly kangaroos on the property were a welcome addition.

Not enough can be said about this amazing property and site. My family and I were greeted with dozens of Kangaroos sprawled around the property. All the reviews and descriptions we read prior to arriving were spot on, the only thing else we’d add is how incredible the hosts were, greeting us and introducing themselves on arrival. It made us feel so welcomed!
The facilities are truly amazing - it’s set up perfectly for families with kids, bikes for the massive property to ride around on, basketball ring, mini golf course, large water reservoir with kayaks/life vests and yabbie net!
But what really makes this camp special is the outdoor bathroom with hot water and toilet(s) kept superbly clean leaving us feeling like we are at a 5 star hotel 😅. The camp kitchen with microwave and fridge + basic necessity’s (sugar/coffee/matches etc) and large 4 burner BBQ just adds to the creature comforts of this well thought out Hipcamp experience

A huge thank you to Windsor and Kerri for a wonderful 3-night stay prior to Easter. Huge site that made our 9m caravan, Land Cruiser and swag look lost!
Power was available, shower and toilets were brilliant and there was a kitchen with fridge and microwave (although we didn’t need them).
Communal campfire was great, with lots of room and a newly erected windshield as well.
What appears to be a regular family group of kangaroos are in an out all day. The birdlife is wonderful to listen to.
Ms14yo and I took the provided kayaks out on the dam and had fun!
Great Stupa of Universal Compassion nearby and certainly worth the 20min trip.
Kangaroo Flat 15-20mins away.
We very much needed a break and this was definitely what was needed.
