Hazelnut Valley is a working Hazelnut Farm located along the Tyres River. We are an easy 2-hour drive from CBD Melbourne, so we are a great location for either short or long stays. Christmas Holiday Bookings Christmas and Boxing Days are available on request only, we will not be accepting any booking for arrival on Christmas or Boxing Days, so that we can have quality family time. Any guest who would like to book a site to arrive before Christmas Day and depart after Boxing Day please message us via Hip Camp and we can make the site available for your booking. Guests MUST be fully self-contained and bring their own camping toilet. (No holes in the ground) you will need to have a suitable camp toilet where you are able to take your waste with you on departure. There is a Dump Point available in Rawson. Site Toilets can be hired thru Moe Hire (03 5127 7114), they will deliver & pick up from your site. A fire pit is provided free for the duration of your stay to each camp group. Available on request: Hazelnut Farm Tour including product sampling. Yearly Activities January We are cleaning the Hazelnut Groves ready for Harvest in March/April. January/February Weather permitting, is Hay Season, large tractors may be on site cutting and rolling bales of hay. March/April Is Harvest Time for our Hazelnut Groves. Relaxing weekend by the river

Had a fabulous long weekend. The site was large and by the river which was very relaxing. There was a great sized firepit where we enjoyed evening fires. Lisa and Bernie are great hosts. We did a couple of trips into Walhalla and had a great meal at the Erica pub.

Plenty of space at Cooper's Corner (bridge). We could here the sound of the creek flowing, almost therapeutic some what? Magnificent bird life at this hipcamp. Certainly worth the trip and what wonderful stay. Totally recommend camping at Hazelnut Valley Farm Stay.

Lovely hosts that were responsive and helpful, nice flat site large enough for 3 families and 2 dogs to spread out on and plenty of space for games. Right by a creek, dropped in the yabby net and caught some very large crays. It was a full house for the long weekend, but everyone was spread out far enough we barely heard a peep. Track to get to property in fairly good condition even after a days worth of non stop rain.

Absolutely love this place. Only 2hrs from melb it's perfect for a quick weekend getaway. We visit a couple times a year to relax and take in nature's beauty. The dog also loves it.

Chestnut corner site.....all sites are large but this is huge...tucked away at the end of the property you feel totally secluded...easy entry to a small sand beach on the river...perfect for the kids and fishing....real down to earth hosts makes your stay an enjoyable one..Phil and Sue.

Don't stay here - because then we won't be able to!! Our best kept secret. We absolutely adore this spot, and Bernie and Lisa are fantastic hosts. Zero reception is perfect. Make sure you bring a hammock.

The family had a great time at Hazelnut Farm. Bernie and Lisa were great hosts. The property and camp sites were all really well maintained and plenty of green grass! The river was very accessible from all the camp sites we explored. The views of the mountain and along the river were also very picturesque. We’ll definitely be back!

This campsite is a true hidden gem! Located right beside a peaceful river, it offers stunning views, fresh air, and the calming sound of flowing water. The flat, grassy surface makes setting up tents super easy, and the surrounding nature is absolutely beautiful hazelnut ,chestnut,walnut trees, hills, and starry skies at night. It’s quiet, clean, and perfect for both relaxing and enjoying outdoor activities like fishing or kayaking. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a peaceful nature escape!

One of the most beautiful places we stayed at, Lisa and Bernie were very nice and helpful, the campsite was spotless and loads of privacy away from other campsites. My partner and I got engaged there too! We will be back 😀

We loved staying at Harvey’s place. Was the perfect spot for our long weekend away. Not too far out from Moe and we felt like it was very secluded in our spot. Kids loved it!!
