Nice quiet spot, and friendly staff, you just need to get down the track a little so the caravan park and it’s rubbish cannot be seen.

Not at all as described. Very unkept, rubbish in bins that has been there for ages, junk heaps all around. No caretaker around. Only cold showers except a hidden one near the pool that is no longer in use. We were there to camp in an unpowered site however they really need to update photos from 10 years ago as it looks nothing like that now. Not 2km from Stawell, closer to 5km to town. Definitely needs some TLC. On the plus side there were kangaroos, tawny frog mouth and heaps of fire wood to gather

Couldn't committ to the booking, and can't get a response from host regarding a refund or where to go from here. Booked with an alternative host for other dates who were wonderful.

The site was a part of Caravan Park and great location. Amenities were very well managed nice and cleaned. There were potable water available and and hot water for relaxed shower.
Great place for go away from city noise and throw yourself in the nature. Very comfortable with children aged 3 and 9 too.
Highly recommend for camping.

Would only recommend for an overnight stay as very basic facilities. We weren’t told upon arrival that there was only one hot shower behind reception, so we spent the first few nights having cold showers. We did try and call the owner and visit reception multiple times to enquire about the showers and wifi, but to no answer. The place was also very run down and no one cleans the facilities. But if you want a secluded spot with little human interaction, it’d be perfect for you!

It is what it is, great stop over spot with amenities that were clean.
It’s a little confusing on the description. It’s part of the caravan park. Just head in to the caravan park reception

Was unsure of what to expect due to little information on the Hipcamp listing, but was pleasantly surprised as the campsite was actually part of the Stawell Park Caravan Park.
Was a bit confused at first when we arrived as I wasn't sure if the Caravan Park was just adjacent to where we were staying, but I called Shane who answered immediately and was very helpful, directing us to go to the reception to check in. We were provided a printed out map of the entire site with directions on where the amenities were.
Very quiet post 10pm as people were respectful of the no noise curfew so was able to get a good night's sleep.
Would recommend if you need a place to stay near Halls Gap as that's where we were headed after and allowed us to break up the long drive.

Price was reasonable, it’s a rough back block of a Cv park on the outskirts of Stawell. Nothing flash with old fashioned facilities and distant traffic noise. What I liked was plenty of space and privacy, ability to have a fire and dog friendly.

I liked the bush camp site 1 at Grampians lots of space allowed to have a fire and the facilities were close.

Huge area to choose your campsite from, enough space that we couldn't see our neighbours! If bush camping, the amenities are a fair way away, but that didn't bother us at all. You could hear the road traffic, but it wasn't loud enough to bother us.
