Briagolong Bush Getaways is 40 acres of peaceful bush land. Many, many moons ago the property use to be a tobacco farm. The original house use to be at the top camp site but was burnt down in the 1960's. A small cottage was then built and lived in for the next 10 years, while the original owner made mud bricks by hand and built the house, that is currently our home. All built by hand more than 42 years ago! Here, you have several fantastic camp areas to choose from, some with access to amenities, some for self-contained campers. We've also recently started offering the mudbrick house for rent! A great option for a warmer stay in the Victorian winter, or if you are a large group and some want to camp whereas others want more comfort.

A private oasis in the bush, only 5km to Blue Pools and a short 7km drive to the Briagalong Pub.  We have two sites available which offer plenty of space and privacy. Both sites have access to our amenities which includes a toilet and shower, but our Down by the Dam site is a bit further away. It is still walking distance but you may prefer to drive. Our Up in the Tree Tops site is within easy reach of them amenities. We have an open flat land for campers or caravaners with two sites available, suitable for large or small groups.  There is great wildlife, walking and 4WD options plus bike tracks. Guests can also enjoy campfire cooking on the ultimate big fire pit. Pets are welcome to join you but please ensure they are always under your control as we have friendly Kangaroos who love to visit the property.

Beautifully kept camp sites & property. Lovely clean toilet & shower. Our site was in the treetops. Very close to Blue Pool to have a swim. Congrats Belinda on a fabulous hipcamp

We stayed at the Down by the Dam site and absolutely loved it. The site itself is a big, open and flat space, so plenty of room to spread out and really relax. It was so peaceful and quiet, exactly what we were hoping for. But the real highlight of our stay was the hosts, Bel and Sean. They are genuinely two of the nicest people we have ever met. So welcoming, friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived, and they truly went above and beyond to make sure our stay with our 4-year-old was perfect. Nothing was too much trouble and they made us feel so at home. There are some beautiful swimming spots near the camp, which were perfect on a warm day, and we also headed into the Briag Pub for dinner which was great. We loved seeing the kangaroos around the property and getting to say hello to their chickens, which our daughter thought was the best thing ever. The amenities were lovely too, very clean and well maintained. Thank you so much Bel and Sean for your incredible hospitality. We had such a special stay and can’t wait to come back again.

We had a great time camping at Briagolong Bush Getaways. We camped near the dam and it was very peaceful. The kids loved visiting the chickens and feeding them daily with our food compost. We saw the family of kangaroos several times in a our stay. It is only a 6minute drive from the beautiful Blue Pool. Bel was super helpful and a great host! We would highly recommend staying here 🙂 You can stay by yourself or there is enough space for two other families on this site.

Huge big sites, would be great for large groups, amenities are good and clean, shower is hot and has amazing water pressure. Owner is super helpful and quick to respond to questions. There is a rooster who crows loudly at 5.30 but otherwise amazing!!

What a great spot! Beautiful, clean, and peaceful! Hosts went above and beyond to look after us, due to the severe weather warning in the area. Looking forward to heading back again someday - hopefully mother nature will be kind next time.

the property is stunning. the campsites are private and well situated. shower and toilet amenities are accessible and beautiful in comparison to a commercial campsite. locations are available for powering devices, with decent mobile data coverage. close to lots of fun things to do, whether it be the pools or meandering through towns. we'll stay again, with bells on.

This was our 3rd stay at Bel's and once again we loved it, plenty of space for the kids to run around, woke up to some kangaroos around camp, we will be back again

Down by the Dam is as peaceful as it gets. Access is easy in a 2wd & towing a camper, the site is level, and Belinda is an incredible and communicative host. The area is idyllic, with a host of peaceful birds and beautiful scenery. We really enjoyed taking a dip in the dam and looking at the stars in the evening. Will certainly be back! Thanks for having us.

It’s my second time here and I absolutely love it. Belinda is super nice and gives the best privacy. The bathroom is clean and very hot water for a comfy shower. Blue pool is about 5 mins away and is great to bring dogs for a swim.

We camped by the big dam and area was beautiful. The firepit is amazing!! Has a grill on it as well. Tried our luck fishing in dam, with no success, except for eels. The owners said there is Australian Bass and Silver Perch. Kangaroos and lots of birdlife are on the property. The property is close to blue pools and the river. Highly recommend

What we love about Belinda's place is it is very relaxing. It's surrounded by trees, very quiet at night with no winds so we all had good sleeps. The area is flat and quite large that can fit 4-5 large tents. The facility were great and only 50metres away. You can also spot wallabies in the early morning. The Blue pools is only a few minutes drive which has nice walking trails and great place to swim. There is a general store in town but not much supply so be prepared. In general nice place with great facilities for people or groups that want a relaxed and comfortable camping trip.

We had Great Time in this Amazing Spot. Thanks to the Lovely Hosts Bel and Sean. We got more than enough space for our entire convoy and this place is Dog Friendly which is really good. And I should mention about amenities which are closer to our campsite and it makes camping a bit luxurious with hot showers :) Defa Will be coming again and do not hesitate to recommend this place to others!! All the Best Bel and Sean!

We loved staying at Belinda and Seans place. Sean met us on arrival and made us feel welcome and gave us all the information we needed. We met Bel throughout our stay when she called in. We had the place to ourselves most of the stay. The dam/lake was so clean after all the rain, we were able to swim, which was fantastic. Heaps of local animals around to keep us company. The amenities up at the cabin were just lovely, and our dinner at The Briag Pub was great! We will definitely save this property to our ‘favs’ for a future visit. Thanks!

This was a magical experience, we stayed on New Year’s Eve and boy was this place all that was promised! The facilities were top notch, the camp ground was immaculate and the hosts were kind and welcoming. If you are after a peaceful retreat this is the place.

A lovely spot for a quick getaway that gave us ample space to be in and enjoy. The large sites and fire pits for each site is amazing. Loved that the spot is pet friendly. Our doggo had a blast.

Very peaceful and private place, would definitely return! It was lucky that we were the only group there so we can enjoy the quietness. Clean toilet and hot water shower has made us so happy, very cute little bathroom. Has everything you need in there

A great peaceful, scenic and safe campsite. We had an enjoyable stay with a group of friends at this site where we were accompanied by local wildlife throughout our stay. The campsite was very comfortable with a huge flat area that is well grassed. Belinda and Sean were great hosts that easily made us feel welcomed on their property. This is a campsite we will definitely come back to.

Without a doubt this truly is a slice of heaven! The open space, the surrounding bush lands, the sounds of nature without the roar of “bush doof”; perfection personified! Our dogs also loved the resident birds and visiting kangaroos! Great communication with the owners prior also was a great help! We can’t wait to come back again!

This was such a beautiful spot to camp at for me and my dog, so peaceful, and it felt private. Loved seeing all of the kangaroos up close. The toilet amenities are fantastic. Great directions and not too much road noise. The area where I set up camp was perfect for camping. Fire pit was amazing. I will definitely be back. Thank you!!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ This would also be a great spot if you had a bunch of mates, plenty of room to spread out.
