Russell Falls Cottages at the entrance to Mt Field National Park offer self-contained, self-catering accommodation suitable for couples and families. Four spacious cottages – each set a comfortable distance apart on a beautiful piece of paradise . Also offering six Riverside fully insulated warm Camping Pods with comfortably made beds with electric blankets. Camping sites also available. The property is surrounded by the Tyenna River and has an abundant of wildlife such as padymelons, possums, platypus and other wildlife are frequently seen especially our resident echidna who wonders happily around the property. A footbridge across the river leads directly to Mount Field National Park, with the National Park Visitor’s Centre and Cafe, the Charles Marriott Shelter (BBQ facilities and children’s playground), and Russell Falls minutes walk away. The path passes through temperate tree fern rainforest, populated by glow worms. A minimum three nights stay is recommended as this area has so much to offer- Mt Fields walks and water falls- Junee caves- styx valley and land of the Giants- Strathgordon dam-creepy crawly walk-Lake Dobson- Rail track ride- Maydena adventure hub- Tassie bound adventures and you will need time to relax and enjoy Russell Falls cottages and the peaceful river, rain forest and birdlife.

At the entrance to Mt Field National park , Turn right down the driveway between the two big trees to your booked Riverside camp site. Park your van/Motorhome (Not suitable for tents) in our allocated camping area on the back gravel area of Russell Falls cottages and enjoy the peaceful surrounds of your camp site. Being a few meters from our large stretch of river enjoy the ever changing view of this body of water being on most days clear enough to clearly watch the platypus play and fish swim and other days view the river a bit higher, louder and not as calm. Walking distance to Russell Falls , so a night time adventure to see the glow worms is a must do. 100 meters from your camp site is a bathroom block which offers private large bathrooms with heaters as well as heat lamps. Also a laundry with washer and dryer. Gold coins required. Fire pits with wood avaliable for purchase. $70 for 2 persons $30 per extra adult. Kids under 12 $10

The Possum Camping Pod 3 is a unique camping experience. It is a 4 by 4 meter fully insulated wooden pod with a 1 meter under cover deck. Inside bed configuration is a Queen bed as well as a bunk bed. Beds are fitted with electric blankets, fresh linen with a winter rated doona. A towel issupplied. Provided with the nightly costing is a power supply pack that will power up your electric blanket, lights for 6 to 8 hours so best to be conservative with power used as battery not charged again till 10am. Heater and fan will use more power faster. Outside of your Camping Pod you will have your own picnic table where you can quietly watch the river for the resident platypus and trout's or enjoy seeing the Eagles flying above you or share your space with the many possums and padymelons. Fire pits can only be used between April to October. A short walk to your amenity block which consists of x4 very large private bathrooms with showers, sinks, bench chair and toilet. Toilet paper is provided . There is a laundry with speed queen washing and drying equipment which is coin operated, coins can be purchased from reception

A unique accommodation experience. There are six 4-meter by 4-meter double insulated Camping pods. Each pod is supplied with 400amp power pack which will generate lights, electric blanket and phone for up to 8 hours. The heater provided will use up the power faster so guests need to be conservative with power consumption. Pods include x1 power supply unit, bath towels, a comfortable warm bed with top and bottom sheet, warm doona and spare blanket, picnic table, fire pit (May to September only as fire restrictions) (wood for purchase at $20 per bag (or small wheel barrow of kindling and wood), use of large bathroom and laundry facility. Power packs are recharged each day at 10am. Large private bathrooms and laundry located 100 meters from Pods Guests will walk from the front of their pod across the grass to the bathroom block. Pods charged for 2 people Winter Rates May to September $150 per night (extra person $30) Standard rates October to April $190 per night (extra person $30)
