Beautiful part of the world. Our 2 dogs loved exploring Steven’s land. Walking distance to bakery that does a great coffee.

We had a great time with our dog & kids. Entry was a bit tricky with the longer van (21ft) but once we were in it was lovely. Steven popped over to say hi and told us to where to look for koalas & possums.

Great quiet spot for our 19’6 caravan for a couple of nights. Steve the host was amazing and made us feel right at home. One of the best stays we’ve had on our lap and will be back again here next time we are around. This spot is a perfect central location for exploring the Adelaide Hills region. Only 2 spots makes this feel really private too.

Great little spot, very tranquil & protected by a hill.
Great sitting there watching the kangaroos, koalas & possums.
Great location from Adelaide.
The Host Steven is very knowledgeable on the area.
Will definitely stay here again.

Had a great few days here, perfect location especially with the dog,
It’s I little tight getting into the site but very private space and the koalas visiting us was a real treat.
Steven was very helpful and we will definitely be back.

I had a rooftop set up, such a nice place Steve had a fire pit already there for us. So many Lillie’s everywhere. Nice people. So quiet and relaxing. Got to walk up the paddock look at the views and check out the dam. Dogs loved it.

Steve’s place ‘Toondilla’ was a beautiful secluded spot that was beautifully maintained with easy access. Steve gave very clear instructions on how to get to his property and once there, how to access the site.
Steve was nice enough to greet us upon arrival and then check in on us before we left.
All round great experience and location that we will encourage others to spend time at!

This is a great place to stay. There is lots or wild life around and the place is beatiful. Stephen ia a great host who checked in with us a couple of times to see if we needed any thing. There is a walk to the top of the hill that has a terrific view. Highly recommended.

Amazing camp site and an amazing host. Steven and his family were very welcoming and made it a memorable weekend for our children.
A we’ll maintained property that was quiet and secluded but still only a short stroll to the Main Street. We will definitely be back. Thanks Steven!

This was my first HipCamp experience and Steve's property was perfect! Friendly host, great location, felt like we were miles away from home when we were 10 mins down the road! Perfect little getaway. We brought our own fire pit and used this at our camp site. The dogs had a ball and they loved being able to explore (the area is fenced so we were able to let them off lead at times which was great). Side note - I thought Site #1 and #2 were further apart than they are - we had no problems with this (Site #1 had another family camping there) but just so others are aware they are next to each other separated by just a few trees (mostly clearing). If you want more privacy, I would just book both sites.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the site, Steve was a wonderful host, very friendly and informative of the surrounding areas.
Beautifully kept property in a wonderful spot - would highly recommend.

Steven was a gorgeous guest! He and his lovely family helped us in every way possible. They made our stay a day to remember and the site is absolutely amazing. We really felt the spirit of Australia and the warmth of aussies’ hearts. What about koalas, kangaroos and possums in the land? Definitely recommended!

We loved staying on Steven's land, and with his knowledge of the area and the flora and fauna, it made for a great quick getaway.
We were lucky to see some of the animals; a ringtail possum, koala, kangaroos, frogs and birds.
Highly recommend Toondilla for families to stay.

We stayed on site 2 in a camper trailer as a base while visiting friends in the area. Steve was very friendly and helpful. The kids enjoyed the zipline even though we weren't at the site much during the day.
The ground was wet and soft after rains but we were able to get in and out without any trouble.

This could be a great Hipcamp, given the right weather. Friendly, welcoming host; scenic location, swing, flying fox and fire pit; a wide variety of bird calls and gentle gums make it a great camp spot. The almost constant rain was not Steve’s fault, but did dampen our experience. Directions were very clear, access to the site was very tight but thoughtfully done. Our biggest issue was not being able to bury our waste, as we were expecting to at a hip camp. Had this been possible, or a proper local dump point been in the vicinity, life would have been easier. There was a neighbour’s dam just below our camp site. Good to camp there with the right weather and equipment.

Camp Toondilla was a great base from which to explore Adelaide. Steven was really friendly and helpful, and so were the wallabies! Nice flat grassy spot and our kids enjoyed the play equipment.

Unfortunately we didn't end up camping, we had to cancel. However, I let Steve the host know, which was late evening the night before and he had no problems with refunding my payment (minus the service fees). This indicates a genuine good feel and as soon as we get another chance I wont hesitate to rebook.

The host had the fire going for us when we got there and was very welcoming. We were greeted by the resident mum and Joey kangaroo. And the possums kept us entertained in the evening. Camp site was level and grassy. Award winning bench seat!

Great spot with easy accessibility to the McLaren vale wine region. Very private spot with only two sites and super safe.
Steve the owner is very friendly and helpful.
Definitely recommend if you’re in the area.
