Unfortunately due to hot weather we haven’t actually been able to stay at the site. However the team have been brilliant in understanding and have allowed us to rebook. We look forward to staying in April. Inman Valley is a prime spot so I’m sure we will love the site.

Classic camp spot with beautiful surroundings in the idillyc Inman Valley! Great central location between Victoria Harbor, Normanville & some of the best beaches in SA! Kylie and her daughters are gracious hosts and welcomed me with open arms! Definitely recommend for those seeking peace and quiet and a restful night under the stars! - also, don't miss brunch at Bellalisious , a roadside crepe house , just two minutes drive down the road for good coffee, ambiance and friendly staff and locals!!

Great off grid spot. Quiet with plenty of wildlife. Great night skies showing all the stars.
Rain water tank on site to refill. Good toilet block. A shower in the disabled toilet can be used.
Site 3 is further from the toilet block than 1 and 2 but only a 2 minute walk

We loved camping at Alma’s Hem. The views were beautiful and there was so much space for our kids to run around and explore. We fell asleep to the sounds of birdsong each night - so beautiful!
We particularly found it helpful to have the toilet and outdoor kitchen facilities while camping with young children. Thanks for having us!

Great location to let the kids run around and tire themselves out. The friends dogs are a big hit with the little ones. Clean toolets an rainwater is a bonus.

The camp site was peaceful. There is only 3 sites but I was the only person there. Kylie uses the site for live music gigs once or twice a year and people can hire the place for weddings. It's picturesque and the dogs, Juno and Audrey are gorgeous. I got my doggy fix . Kylie came down for a chat while I was at the camp kitchen. She's a lovely host. I would recommend the site to anyone who likes a quiet and scenic camp. Oh, the toilets were fancy and fabulous.

Site 3 - The Vista Scrub
We had a great time camping here over the weekend. The kids love running around with all the free space and collecting the perfect throwing stick for the dogs. Toilets were nice and clean.

There's a few very friendly and fun dogs on the property that my kids loved !
The bathroom facilities are brilliant and we will definitely be back again.
Book the firewood it made a campfire so easy.

Beautiful place to stay - we had amazing views out over rolling hills with forest behind us. We were lucky to have the place to ourselves, but the sites are spaced well apart so it wouldn’t have mattered if there were others. Kylie was lovely and we even got to spend some time with the doggos!

Firstly, Kylie was a wonderful host and her 3 dogs were super friendly and polite. We felt very welcomed.
Each site was very spacious and set apart from other camping sites in the area. My son and I had more than ample space to play cricket, soccer, frisbee, etc. The surrounding landscape was absolutely stunning and picturesque. At night, it was pitch black and quiet (except for the occasional mooing of cows), perfect for stargazing and switching off. There were plenty of kangaroos that passed through and grazed nearby too.
We were at Site 2 and the toilets were conveniently close (about a few minutes walk). The toilets were clean and well maintained. Nearby the toilets are taps that provide rainwater, which we also found to be very handy.
Location wise, it's close by Victor Harbor if you need to pop in for supplies and a proper meal. We also had brunch at a nearby (only 5 min drive) cafe called Belicious on the morning we left. They served Belgian waffles as their specialty, which we found to be deliciously comforting after a few days of camping.
Overall, my family had such an amazing time together at Alma's Hem. We would not hesitate to go back again, and thoroughly recommend this site to other campers looking for an easy, relaxing and memorable stay.

This find is honestly a hidden gem. The view and the atmosphere were amazing. We saw so much wildlife, as well as spent time with the owners dogs. It was a wholesome experience, and I’ll definitely be back!

Camping at Alma's Hem was unexpectedly magic. When all the campsites in nearby Deep Creek were booked up for the weekend, we stumbled across Alma's Hem on Hipcamp as an alternative option. We're so glad we did! From the moment we drove in, we could see how quiet, scenic and special this place is. The facilities were very quaint and inviting, including a camp kitchen under the stars. The stage and bar area is fun to walk around and explore, and we had the pleasure of meeting two adorable pups who demanded we throw the stick for them to chase (any time). We can't wait to come back :)

A fantastic location with a lot of space between guests, basically feels like a private campsite. The hosts were easy going and let you get on with simply relaxing. A great locations and we'll definitely be back!

Lots of space between camping groups. Site 3 is up the top, furthest away from the toilets and the entry. No disturbance. Toilets are decent! Lovely views. Easy to find! BBQ area is kept clean and tidy.

Well presented lot in an ideal location away from the noise of the daily grind.
Ample space between the lots and was easy to find using the app directions and the site map on entry.
The toilet facilities are much more than you would expect of an outdoor stay and the BBQ cooking facilities looked more than adequate to say the least.
Kylie the host was nice and accommodating.
I will definitely come again sometime soon.

A very peaceful and well-looked after place with some thoughtful and creative touches. Grass to camp on comfortably and plenty of space. The location is perfect for accessing the Heysen Trail or just walking/driving through some lovely farming landscapes. A short drive to the coast. What more can you ask for?

The views were beautiful, and the campsite was very quiet. We booked a twin swag, and it was quite comfortable, though it could have been a bit cleaner. The bathroom was exceptionally clean and well-designed. That day, we even came across incredibly smart and adorable dogs! 😍We truly enjoyed our camping experience there.
