Tranquil Valley is a small 3-acre property separated from society. Travel down the Forestry road/fire break all the way to the end to find, quite literally, a Tranquil Valley. Nestled on 3 acres but surrounded by state parks and reserves, this property feels more like 100 acres. With short walks through rainforest to find different creeks and swimming holes, direct access to Forestry trails for bike riding, and a short distance from many active hiking trails, you can simply rest up or plan to get active in nature. There are two camp spots available - "LingaLittleLonga" is a flat, private camp spot perched higher on our property. Water and power are available at extra cost. No toilet or shower, currently a work in progress. The site has easy access and the option to park your vehicle with your camp. OR "Turkey Nest" - A walk-in only camp for those who wish to become one with nature. A drop-down and campfire grill are all you have with direct access to kayaking and swimming. A King Daddy swag and other essential items can be provided at extra cost.

Tucked deep where the map gets a little vague and the air turns emerald, this is not your average campsite… it’s a quiet rebellion against the ordinary. Access is earned, not given. You’ll walk in or glide by kayak along a winding creek, leaving behind the hum of roads for the soft percussion of water, wind, and wildlife. By the time you arrive, the outside world feels like a distant rumour. Set beneath towering bloodwoods and surrounded by the lush, ancient fronds of Byfield fern (Bowenia Serrulata), this is proper Australian bush camping in its raw, unfiltered form. The creek curls past your camp like a teatree stained ribbon, perfect for a dip, a paddle, or simply sitting still and letting time stretch out. You’ll find the essentials waiting, without breaking the spell: * A classic drop dunny (bush luxury, done right) * A fire pit with cooking gear, pans, and grills ready for whatever you throw on * Kayaks and canoes included for exploring upstream secrets and downstream drift sessions * Fresh drinking water supplied along with a few other essentials For those who want a touch more comfort without losing the edge, a double swag can be provided for an extra cost… just roll it out and fall asleep to the chorus of the rainforest. This is a place for campfire stories that linger, morning mist that curls through the trees, and nights so quiet you can hear your own thoughts slow down. Private. Secluded. A rare find. Not everyone will make it here. That’s kind of the point. 🌿🔥🚣

Pitch your tent or park your campervan/trailer and make use the basic facilities on offer. Instant campsite! Featuring a camp fire with seating, bush views, space to set up a camp kitchen with water hook ups. LingaLilLonga is your own piece of tranquility away from the world. A 3 minute walk from the main house, with bush surrounds, you have complete privacy. A short ten minute walk to the best swimming hole in Byfield, where you can kayak or just float. Best suited for a single, couple or small family. With room to drive through or turn around. Direct access to forestry tracks for riding or walking. Views of Castle Rock and the surrounding Ranges which makes for some beautiful sunsets. Please note: A small camp kitchen is in place with a portable chemical toilet. Plans to build permanent facilites in the near future. All hipcampers must be ok with this set up or be self sufficient.

So happy to have this quiet camp among the trees in Byfield on a busy long weekend. Richard was great to communicate with and provided a mud map for location. We really appreciated the tap with creek water, the drinking water and fireplace provided. Camp loo an added bonus. Lovely rainforest walk to a creek and kayaks for the adventurous. Site best for self contained campervans/motorhome/tent/camper trailers.
