RV/tent site · Sleeps 11 · Vehicles under 7 mThis camp site drops slightly down from the clear flat to a level pad. Adjacent to the campsite is a natural waterhole (-generally not in flow, holds water) with gums and iron-bark trees offering semi-shaded site. For the best position, a bit of will be required for a large van (well worth it).
Currently creek condition. 1/10/25: waterholes 40%, no creek flow,
2wd access is ok although will become slippery under very wet conditions. Gravel is in position for the slippery parts. Generally a car will be ok. This site is private, about 1.5km from the road
Please remember to book any ‘Extra’ you want at time of booking.
Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a leash or tether and not interfere with livestock. Please clean up after your dog ready for the next camper.
Fires permitted only in fire-rings provided. There is plenty of wood lying around for use (bring your axe or chainsaw). If you have pre-ordered firewood as an extra, it will be delivered to your site. As an option for additional firewood, there is a container placed along the track which generally has firewood in it for sale. Operates an honesty box located on-top, $15/bag.
The camp has:
-undercover area (6x5)
-fire pits
-bbq plate for over fire.
-drop toilet- byo t/p
-There is a raised bath tub to set a fire underneath and have a long hot soak. (Fresh bulk rainwater is available to be delivered in the extras).
-There is a floodlight in position in the trees to light up the site, you will need to bring a generator and lead.
-Campsite is fenced off with a gate to keep the cattle away from camp
Things to do
- Send some golf balls into space
-Wading in the water holes or dam (100m south) is welcome
-Brisbane river is up the road (12mins) to Savages crossing or Twin Bridges. Offers fantastic swimming or lazing in the running water.
-Push bikes, Brisbane Valley Rail Trail is 5min away if you jump on at Borallon Station Rd. Some cattle tracks for the kids to ride along in the paddock also.
-Wivenhoe, Somerset Dam in the area for water sports
-Wildlife watching, this paddock sustains a large variety of native animals
-Bottle Tree pub is just down the road, - bit more than walking distance tho :)
