Nestled in the quiet beauty of Glen Echo, "Rosehill" has been a cherished part of the Ross Family since 1958. Tucked away along the picturesque Munna Creek, our farmstay is a tranquil escape just 40 minutes south of Maryborough, 35mins north of Gympie and a scenic 2.5-hour drive from Brisbane. Finding us is easy - from Tiaro/Gympie via the Woolooga/Bauple road, just 5 minutes off into Glen Echo. At "Rosehill," we offer a variety of camping experiences on our semi-private campsites without amenities. We do have a Bush Shower/Toilet at the homestead that you're welcome to come and use. Bring your pushbikes and explore the closest National Trail (section 5) Whether you're seeking solitude or planning a group event, we have options to suit your needs. ONLY 2 Lakeside campsites - private site overlooking King dam around the Flindersia Tree (Crows Ash) with plenty of shade where you relax at and enjoy the view. This site is a 10 x 10m mowed grassy area with mowed path to access King Dam. Fairly level ground sloping down to the dam bank with a gentle slope into the water. You will need to have chocks or wood to level. Depending on the time of year, you will be sharing with our cows and their calves. The cattle will not bother you as long as you don't feed them or leave things lying around on the ground as they are curious by nature.

Site 1 ( of 3 spaced out campsites available) down on the river flat as you come down the creek to the main swimming hole and creek crossing. All sites (1,2,3) share a spacious open area with good solar coverage and shade trees along the bank of the Munna Creek. There is plenty of room to spread out on the level lower creek bank without being too close to your neighbour. If you have a family to book you can easily hold all your family and friends by booking all 3 campsites for a private experience. We can allow additional numbers to this area for larger gatherings. These sites cater to 4wd Motorhomes or high clearance 2wd Motorhomes, 5th Wheeler, off-road caravans, large camper trailers. The ground covering is sandy river-flat grasses, all natural bush sites. Short walk to the main swimming hole and creek crossing. Fire pit available. Collect your firewood from the driftwood laying around, please only use what you need. The cattle will wander down here usually overnight to camp and we occasionally see other wildlife. Please ensure you don't encourage either our cattle or the wildlife to your camp by leaving food out. Do not throw food scraps on the ground. Set on the creek bank above the main swimming hole and creek crossing with trees creating a semi private location. Surface is sandy river-flat with native grasses, all natural bush site. Trees offering privacy from campsite 1 and main access creek crossing. This area is not mowed. The area can cater to family groups with mixed camping options. Okay. solar location. Hidden Gem amongst the Gumtrees facing North East looking over the property with total privacy. There are no amenities up here and there are also no neighbours with Rosehill Homestead over the hill to the south.  Perfect location to host that family reunion or gather a social group or large group of friends.  There are lots of trails on the farm to follow or you can ride out on your pushbikes to the National Trail routes available nearby. https://nationaltrail.com.au/wp-content/uploads/NT.Chart_.Sect5_.png  Enjoy panoramic views towards Mt Kanigan across our winter pastures.   Couple of great waterholes to check out and plenty of firewood for your campsite. You can add EXTRAS that include Portable Toilet/s (min 2 days) & Water Pod(1000l)  There will be lots of birdlife and native animals around so please make sure your food is well stored.  This is a totally stand alone site with no amenities, you will need to bring all you need and take it all away with you please.   We are a zero footprint working cattle farm on Standalone Power and cell graze our herd for sustainability.

Rosehill Creek Camp 4 Site 4
This is a lovely camping spot with not too many sites and has easy access to a refreshing creek which the kids loved playing in. We stayed on a different site than the one we had booked to get better solar coverage. Unfortunately we chose the one weekend a year when there was a music festival being held in a nearby field and this did impact on our enjoyment of our stay as we were able to hear the base throughout the day and night.

Lovely quiet place. Nice little creek. Kids loved the farm animal tour. If you're looking for a place to set up and just relax in your own space (which we were), this is the right place (meaning not a lot to do in the immediate area). Creek was lovely to swim in. Hosts were very friendly.

Great spot, lovely creek, kids had lots of fun. David and Kim were very hospitable and the kids loved patting and feeding the horses. Stayed at the creek site which was too far to walk to the shower/toilet so bear that in mind when booking. Closer site is the dam site. Kids took bikes but due to recent rain was pretty muddy and mozzies were bad in the evening so bring bug spray and long sleeves. Bought a generous bag of firewood - burnt well. Had a great time floating down the creek and having the place to ourselves. (Also Kim does amazing leatherwork. :))

David and Kim were very accommodating and a lovely mature couple. Very open and welcoming, we felt right at home and enjoyed our stay at the Rosehill Farmstay Lakeland site, would recommend for a peaceful nature filled environment, could not see other campers which was a delight in itself. Granted it was a fair drive from Gympie/Maryborough but perfect for a relaxing, slow paced getaway. Definitely going on the list to return to.

Loved this camping spot! Beautiful and peaceful, semi private sites which are near a creek you can swim in! Host were fantastic, very accommodating and made you feel welcome! Will definitely be back!

Such a great spot to spend the long weekend. David and Kim are 2 legends! From the friendly greeting to taking the time to show our kids around their animals. Very much a hidden gem in the bush!

Absolutely amazing - very secluded, a great location, and Kim and Dave were the best hosts. Had a great time sharing a beer (or three) and stroking their Rotty puppies :) Will definitely be back!

The Farm and camp sights were absolutely beautiful and the amenities were clean and easily accessed. We were lucky enough to have the whole place to ourselves and thoroughly enjoyed the tranquility. The dam was lovely for a fish and swim, and David and Kim were the best hosts we have ever experienced… seriously, we’ll be back just to hang out with them and all the animals again :)

My family and I loved our stay at David and Kim's place, They were so helpful and available when we had questions. The place is beautiful and we managed to have a fun family vacation with two animal loving children. From playing in the creek to riding horses the fun was never ending. It was also great to see the love and knowledge they have from their animals that they taught my children.

Nice quiet spot to camp. Beside a small creek. We towed our off road van in and out without any trouble. Might not be so easy if wet due to the hills. Grassy site when we were there. We had the whole area to ourselves, which was a bonus. David and Kim are lovely hosts.

We had the most peaceful stay at Rosehill Farmstay this week. It’s exactly what we were looking for - peace and serenity! We were very lucky to have the place to ourselves (there is only a small number of sites anyway, which I think is great..no overcrowding..and they are spread out to ensure privacy and peace). The kids loved kayaking and fishing in the dam and walking among the cows. Thanks Dave and Kim for hosting such a perfect spot for us to unwind and recharge! We will definitely be back to enjoy your peaceful retreat!

Just enjoyed a couple of nights in area 4, across sites 1 and 2 with 2 x caravans. Dave and Kim were very welcoming and friendly, guided us across the paddocks to our lovely grassy site by the creek. It’s a bit hilly and undulating to get to, 4WD essential! Curious cattle wandering around to check us out. Had a dip in the creek which was flowing well for us at the time, beautiful temp to enjoy on a humid afternoon. Saw a platypus in there in the morning too! Would totally recommend for the self contained and well equipped… beautiful spot, will be back … perhaps when it’s a little cooler!

This is an odd review in that we never actually made it to Rosehill Farmstay as we had a medical emergency come up. Very last minute I contacted the hosts David and Kim hoping they may consider giving us a credit for the future and they went above and beyond our expectation with a full refund. In this age of corporate greed it is so refreshing to see. Clearly David and Kim are the type of small business you want to support. I am now looking forward to actually making it there.

10/10! The campsite was so serene and the landscape was absolutely beautiful. We were lucky enough to be the only people camping and had the whole area to ourselves despite being school holidays! We camped down by the river bed which made the perfect play area for our two year old. David and Kim were absolutely lovely and I would highly recommend staying with them.

Rosehill Farmstay, Munna Creek was truely a great place to stay. David & Kim were great hosts, their directions and access to the property were clear. David was a terrific gate keeper always friendly with a smile. Our location on Munna Creek was clear, level and well maintained. Every afternoon the kookaburra's got together and sang, whilst we watched our friendly goanna (just 4 meters from our caravan's front door) undertake his own 'renovations' going in and out of his borrow 2 / 3 times a day taking home extra leaves and twigs. The beautiful sound of the water in the creek was so relaxing. The sky at night so bright and clear. Our 9 nights and 10 days away was really great. A HUGE thank you to David and Kim for your hospitality. 😀😀

Bloody awesome spot, we camped right on munna ck with clear running water. Lots of birdlife and great for a walk and explore. David and Kim are great people and nothing was too much trouble. Plenty of firewood.. Loved it, we will definitely be back

Rosehill Lakeside - King Dam
Fantastic experience for the kids and the rest of the family. Rustic setting that overlooks a dam that is full of wildlife. The kids just loved the kayaks supplied by the owners, they paddled for hours around the dam viewing birds, ducks, eagles, fish, turtles, butterflies etc. The property owners (Dave and Kim) are truly amazing friendly people full of knowledge and are very accommodating. Dave and Kim went out of there way to share the full farm experience with the children and adults. With explanations and exposure of farm animals and farming shared in a friendly common language for all to understand.

We pulled up the camper trailer beside the running creek in a very private spot, collected some fallen timber, lit the fire and just relaxed for 36 hours. It rained that night but the good grass cover meant it wasnt boggy. David and Kim are lovely hosts and have a variety of sites available.

Thank you David and Kim for sharing your peaceful bit of paradise. We booked for two nights but then added another night as we found it sooooo peaceful and relaxing. There was free firewood that we could collect, we did all our cooking on the firepit, tastes so much better. Then at night we would sit by the fire and look at the stars, listening to the night sounds. Loved the creek, it added to the whole experience. So many birds to watch, some we have never seen before. We went for some walks. David was a lovely host and we had a good chat before we left. We shall definitely be back.
