Site was very overgrown, with a good mow it would be ok. Ended up camping on the track as it was the least overgrown. Around the fire pits grass was up around knee hieght. Thanks.

Conveniently located to Port Douglas township, so liked that. The music from the 2 weddings next door on Friday and Saturday night was loud but i didn't mind it. Would have been nice if the long grass was mowed prior but the hosts were flexible where i set up, so moved closer to the cane field where it was lower and had more sun for the solar which was good.
I'd stay again :)

Not as pictures were advertised. No flat area to pitch tent/swag and tree roots and shrubs were everywhere. Didn’t end up staying here as we arrived and weren’t happy with what we saw.

Very close to central Port Douglas but feels like you’re so far away. Loved being able to come back to our quiet site after a busy day. Only 4 sites and plenty of room so it was very private. Instructions were easy to follow, highly recommend for those wanting to visit Port Douglas and surrounding areas but like the quiet and privacy whilst camping.

We loved everything about this magic spot. Wonderful hosts, peaceful tranquil surroundings. Plenty of room for our 21 foot caravan.

It is a nice and flat area. Have a good breeze under the trees with the birds chirping. Local cows are very vocal to let you know they are around. Was far from the road so it was very peaceful.

Quiet location in a field close to the sugar canes.
A word of advice: to get there, do not follow the GPS at the end but the directions sent from the Crees road.

Great private and quiet spot close to Port Douglas. Only a few sunny areas the rest are all shady under trees. Easy to follow directions and would recommend.

Beautiful, quiet , and totally relaxing 😌 great spot to enjoy time with friends. Easy to book , not far to drive to Port Douglas or Mossman .felt safe leaving the van while we had a look around . Nice to see green grass and not dust

Nice n quite, and only 5 min from mega touristy Port Douglas. Price could be seem a bit excessive for a patch amongst the cane fields, but compared to paying double for packed in like a can of sardines in all the nearby caravan parks, I know where I’d recommend.

Quiet secluded safe and hidden - plenty of room and no hassle’s - not much solar area, great for tents and those who do not require solar - although we were a party of three caravans and had no problem getting in

It’s a lovely peaceful camp. We had nowhere to camp for the night so we were lucky to be able to
Stay here. However There are no facilities ( including a toilet not even a long drop ) so the we felt the price for one night doesn’t really add up. It’s basically a field next to sugar cane and that’s it.

Clean spot, easy enough to find if you follow the detailed instructions step by step. Some leaches on the ground so watch out for those but convenient location and very private.

I found the directions a little confusing as a solo traveller.
The main photo advertising the Hipcamp surroundings isn’t accurate and doesn’t have fairy light ambience. I can appreciate it’s in relation to the wedding venue side of the business but not necessary for the Hipcamp bush location for travellers.
Surroundings were not maintained, however plenty of dry firewood to collect which was great.
Perhaps some signage, marker or flag would help find the location easier for travellers.
$36 a night for this type of camp is pretty steep, my expectations were higher due to the price and fairy light photo advertising the space.
A price point of $20-$25 would have been fair and aligned expectations to the reality.
Had a great time with my dog in the creek and proximity to Port Douglas & Mossman was fantastic.

Very quiet surrounded by cane fields only takes maximum of 5 plenty space either under the trees and in the open. We did have a lot of ants. 10 minutes from Port Douglas and we would definitely stay again

Lovely little spot hidden away with close proximity to Port Douglas. There are no separate ‘sites’ here so you’ll be sharing your space with other campers. Most of the space is shaded (beware if you’re on fixed solar).
Overall great, just a few things to be aware of 😊

We used this camp just as a place to sleep as we were passing port Douglas twice. It’s in a good location, however be prepared for the mozzies they were really bad at the moment
There are no amenities, and was fairly congested on the Thursday we were there. However earlier in the week it wasn’t as busy. It felt safe and is dog friendly which you’ll find is the only dog friendly place near port Douglas so that was very good 😊

Apart the high cost which the camp-site well over priced, not very suitable for caravans, as tree roots are above ground, tree branches rubbed on the roof and sides of my van, best part very quiet and close to Port Douglas
