Our land includes an active mushroom operation, orchard plantings, open grass fields, and a peaceful dam. We’re building an eco-conscious space focused on mushroom cultivation, biochar, composting, land restoration, and sustainable farming practices. We’ve recently relocated and are very much in a building and growing phase. That means guests will experience a real working farm in progress — sheds, shelters, and visitor areas are evolving, and each visit becomes part of the story. If you enjoy authentic places, hands-on learning, and watching something meaningful take shape, you’ll feel right at home here. 🌱 Your Host & Vision Your host, Brent, has lived in Australia for over 25 years and brings a deep background in conservation. He previously served as Vice President of the Kariba Wildlife Society in Africa, working in rhino protection, vegetation management, and long-term conservation programs. ★★★★★ A NYE I’ll Never Forget at Mighty Fungi Farm What began as a one-night stopover on my way home to Brisbane from a Christmas road trip to Cairns turned into one of the most memorable New Year’s experiences I’ve had. From the moment I arrived, my dogs and I were welcomed like family. I set up a beautiful camp with my hammock tent and dry tent, tucked into the riverbed between a lone mango tree, the dam, and the creek (which becomes a river in the wet season). It was peaceful, grounding, and absolutely stunning. With a cup of mushroom coffee in hand, Brent generously took me on a tour of the farm—through the mango orchards, hay fields, and along the creek lines—sharing stories of the land and its rhythms. The weather was perfect, the vibe was warm and relaxed, and before I knew it, I decided to stay on for New Year’s Eve. NYE itself was magic: friends and family, a BBQ, karaoke, laughter, and that rare feeling of being exactly where you’re meant to be. Mighty Fungi Farm isn’t just a place to stay—it’s an experience rooted in connection, nature, and genuine hospitality. I can’t recommend it highly enough and I’m already looking forward to my next road trip north and another visit back to this special farm. 🌱✨
