Our venue and campgrounds are situated at the old Jimna State School property. The school closed in 2009 with the last students attending in 2006. It was then sold by the Qld government and has been rezoned as a Camping, Recreation and Events Venue. We have retained all the old school facilities for our campers to enjoy. There is a children’s playground and multi-purpose tennis court for everyone to enjoy. We provide tennis rackets, balls and basketballs free of charge to our campers. There is also no charge or fee to use the court. On most Sundays afternoons (weather permitting), we have social tennis where everyone is welcome to join in. The old school toilet blocks have the addition of hot showers and all toilet facilities are the flushing type. Campfires are permitted and there are small mobile fire pits provided so wherever you set up camp you can have your campfire right beside you. Note: There are no ground fires permitted and at certain times of the year Qld Rural Fire brigade may enforce a total fire ban. We have our “Caffeine Injection” kiosk on-site for the weekends and school holidays. Get your morning caffeine fix as well as bagged ice, firewood, ice creams, snacks, cold drinks etc etc Then we have the old school principals residence aka “The Bush Holiday House“. It is fully self-contained and all linen is provided. Just BYO food & drinks. We offer this for one night stays and longer. Jimna is a tiny town immersed in the Australian bush; with nearby gorges, ravines, creeks and waterfalls - some wild & spectacular places to see. What better place to base yourself and explore our part of the Conondale National Park, Jimna State Forest... be it on foot, horseback, motorcycle, 4x4 or mountain bike!! Jimna is a tiny town immersed in the Australian bush; with nearby gorges, ravines, creeks and waterfalls - some wild & spectacular places to see. And Jimna Base Camp is a private space, tucked into the side of the village, providing the perfect base to explore the region. Our campground is fantastic for individuals, families, and groups, and includes flush toilets, hot showers and small mobile fire pits supplied free during your stay. Pets welcome too. For larger groups, we have a larger bonfire pit which can be booked in advance if required. We do sell firewood although you're also welcome to bring your own. We also have our “Caffeine Injection Van” on-site and open weekends/school holidays. Even whilst camping you can still enjoy your morning caffeine fix! We also sell bagged ice, ice creams, cold drinks and snacks. Camping rates also offer free use of the multipurpose court and all equipment such as basketballs, tennis rackets and balls. There is also the children’s playground for the little ones. The area is perfect for all 4WD, trail bike, adventure riding, mountain biking and bushwalking adventures. At all times adult supervision is ABSOLUTELY required when children are using any of our facilities, this includes toilets, showers, playground or multipurpose court. Jimna is a tiny town immersed in the Australian bush with nearby gorges, ravines, creeks and waterfalls - some wild & spectacular places to see. Perfect for all 4WD, trail bike, adventure riding, mountain biking and bushwalking adventures. And Jimna Base Camp is a fantastic option for groups to come and enjoy the area. We have a fully self-contained 3 bedroom house, and plenty of room for camping (2 acres). Rent the entire place for your group or hire sections of it. We can cater for "bush events" like a family or group get-together, Christmas parties, bush weddings, workshops etc. All self-catered (hired catering can be arranged). The whole 6 acres of Jimna Base Camp can be at your serenity! PLEASE NOTE: WE HAVE A STRICT NOISE CURFEW OF 11PM ON WEEKENDS as our venue is located within a small township, we are very mindful of our neighbours. Car rallies, motorcycle events and gatherings, bushwalking groups, school groups, Church groups, Christmas and work parties, orienteering groups, workplace networking, workshops, bonding and camping weekends, 4x4 groups and events, bush weddings and more! Just let us know your idea and we’ll see if we can make it happen! We work together with community groups such as the Jimna Public Hall and Jimna Sports Club. The Sports Club has a licensed bar, TV, pool table and darts board. Both are only a short stroll away!

Jimna is a tiny town immersed in the Australian bush; with nearby gorges, ravines, creeks and waterfalls - some wild & spectacular places to see. Near to our camping grounds, is the old School Principals residence, a comfortable country holiday house. It is fully self-contained with all you need. Games for the kids, movies and books. It has 3 bedrooms with 2 x queen beds and 2 x single beds, as well as a foldout double sofabed in a separate sunroom, as well as room for an extra floor mattress if required. There is so much space for you to use (2.5ha) so a lot of time can be spent outdoors! There are good bush walks and a bush swimming hole nearby, campfire, a tennis & basketball court and play areas for the kids - all for you to enjoy. This is a safe, quiet and peaceful place. The house is fully fenced although unfortunately, we do not allow pets. We made this decision due to health and safety issues considering future guests that may have allergies. This holiday house is a great option for groups, where some want to camp at Jimna Base Camp, while others prefer something a bit more comfortable!
