Was such a unique spot! With the beautiful Forrest encapsulating the hideaway, and the hideaway itself! It was truly a great getaway for a small group of people. Jess provided more than enough. Would definitely recommend checking it out!

We had such a wonderful and relaxing time at the hoppe hideaway :) everything we needed was there and they were very quick to respond if we had any questions. just such a beautiful spot and we can’t wait to go back again !!

After 2+ years of 'you-know-what', we were feeling pretty fragged and ready for a break. Came across Hippie Hideaway's listing by sheer good luck. What a great place to unwind. The dwelling sits in a little pocket of rainforest about 45 mins drive from Cairns, so it's deliciously removed from the outside world. Camp fires and lazy sofa times (including a good few daytime nana-naps), early to bed with the lullaby of the frogs & other night creatures and up at dawn to an orchestra of birdsong. But don't be fooled into thinking you'll be roughing it. Sure, there's a back-to-nature, earth-ship feel about it all, but the place is well appointed: comfy bed, hot shower, well-equipped kitchen (incl. tea, coffee, potable water & various condiments - you won't have to bring/buy much at all). The nearest settlement for supplies is Kuranda, about 15 mins drive. Perched at the top of the Barron Gorge, it's worth a visit or two. Quite touristy, but very charming. Meanwhile, back at the Hideaway, the only 'downside', which actually isn't a downside at all, is that you will struggle to get a good data signal close to the dwelling, so you'll have plenty of opportunity to rediscover the art of conversation or maybe catch up on a couple of good books. Fantastic! We booked Hippie Hideaway for 5 days. Wish we'd booked it for 10. Highly recommended and definitely top of the list for a return visit.

Jess and Ben have gone to great efforts to create a fantastic unique experience. Its beyond Glamping and they have thought of everything to make it as comfortable and fun as possible. There was four of us, and nothing was too much trouble in terms of providing us with linen for the queen bed and swags and sleeping bags for those of us lucky enough to sleep outside (an awesome nights sleep!). Everything was well stocked; kitchen utensils, some provisions, candles, mozzie coils, and plenty of cut wood for the open fire. Its tucked away and off grid, but theres power, gas and a flushing dunnie! Just download your spotify playlists beforehand for the big bluetooth speaker provided. Great fun.

We cannot pick just ‘one thing’ to say that we loved… it was all wonderful, and exactly what we were hoping for.
At every stage of our getaway we felt relaxed, from booking to waking on the last day. Highly recommend

Absolutely loved our stay at Hippie Hideaway! It's easy to see a lot of care and attention has gone into the space and Jess was so helpful and welcoming. Definitely one of the most unique places we have stayed and waking up to the sound of the rainforest was amazing. Thanks so much for having us!

We absolutely loved staying at the Hippie Hideaway; what a beautiful little spot! Jess and Ben have thought of everything; the cabin was clean and the property is private. Our 2yr old daughter loved the swing chair so much, I think we now need to buy one 😬 Everything we wanted to see and do in Kuranda was close by. We will definitely plan to come back at some point soon, we miss it already! 🥰

We loved our stay at Hippy Hideaway. Would recommend staying here for a peaceful getaway. Lots of bird life & the scrub turkeys just walk by having a forage on the way. Very relaxing. 👍

A beautiful spot to stay. We loved making a fire each night and soaking in the sounds of the bush. It was the perfect combination of secluded and habitable.

Perfect for chilling out on cozy sofa’s around an outdoor undercover fire pit.
In amongst the rainforest with nature around you.
BBQ, large kitchen with gas and electricity, hot shower and king bed - everything you need for a relaxing stay.
Town 10mins drive away for all supplies and only 30 mins to Cairns airport but you feel miles from anywhere.

Couldn't recommend more highly.
Felt so grateful to be tucked up in the rainforest with nothing but the birds and insects 🌿
The home is so unique. Beautifully designed and lovingly made and looked after. So much space to enjoy both inside and out. Your own little private patch of paradise.
Heaps of touches that make it feel nice and cosy.
Jess and Ben were so helpful and made me feel extremely at home.
Looking forward to coming back this way so I can stay here again!

Our stay at Jess and Ben’s property was absolutely fantastic!! It was easy to find and completely secluded. Jess and Ben were extremely accommodating and made sure that we had everything that we needed during our stay. We especially enjoyed the large undercover outdoor area where we spent most of our stay. The use of natural materials was impressive and because we are conscious of our footprint, suited us without question. The name describes this place to a tee in the best way possible. I would highly recommend staying with Jess and Ben at Hippie Hideaway and have already shared my experience with my friends that I believe would enjoy this wonderful place. 10/10!

It's an awesome place to stay with some great swimming holes near by to cool off on hot days. It has a huge entertainment area with a fireplace, hammock, couches to relax on and more. I loved big bed upstairs. It's super comfy. Definitely worth staying there for a few nights to enjoy the nature
