Tucked away in the mountains of the scenic rim 480m above sea level, Highland Retreat has views as far as the eye can see overlooking the border ranges We have two private camp sites suitable for for self contained tents, campers and caravans, very limited amenities for now as the property is of grid you will need to bring a shower setup and toilet (long drop toilet at each site) we are 80min away from Brisbane and Warwick Pet friendly the property is a hobby farm (we have horses, dogs, sheep and chickens) horses roam the property and are all friendly (if your pet isn't used to other animals please keep them on leash) Boonah is only a 15min drive if you need supplies or forget something Fire pits are setup at each campsite Firewood is available for purchase $20 per bag (cash collection tin at campsite) Endless activities and exploring to do around the area or just wind down and relax watching the view If you have any questions feel free to contact me please note: We are unable to refund last minute cancelations due to weather please check weather in advance leading up to your stay. cheers

This site is the largest on the block it has plenty of room for the family and pets it also a picnic table and firepit Find a level spot to pull up and enjoy the view There is only one steep bit to get to this site but we haven't had any issues towing a 20ft caravan up and down in dry weather 4wd is required for wet weather

this campsite is medium size, plenty of room for a couple caravans and tents, it is very secluded and away from campsite 1 plenty of tree coverage. there is a gravel track down to the campsite. the campsite is on a slight lean but with leveling legs it is easy to get your setup level. kick back and enjoy your own piece of serenity!

What a view this campsite has!! It was such a beautiful place, beautiful view and Brendan was very responsive when we needed any help. Would recommend and definitely will be coming back. A nice slice of serenity here.

Epic views. Brendan and Ken are legends to deal with - super friendly and fast response time to messages and questions. Easy access and flat ground for tents and swags. We will definitely be back.

A beautiful getaway!

We had such a wonderful stay at Highland Retreat. Kenny met us when we arrived and gave clear directions to our site — such a friendly and helpful welcome! The grounds were recently mowed and really well maintained, making it easy to set up and enjoy. The views were absolutely stunning — wide open and completely unobstructed. We especially loved having the horses in the paddock next to us; it added such a peaceful and country charm to the stay. We can’t wait to go back — highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a quiet, scenic escape!

One of the best beautiful scenic view, height, silence!, fantastic magnetic endless valley view and in addition friendly owners. Great communication despite on a remote location. Very much pleased with the place.

This was a fantastic place to camp. Views were amazing and there was plenty of space for the kids and 2 dogs. We were able to tow our 19ft caravan to the site relatively easily. Fit pit and table were also a plus. Would definitely stay here again if I come through the area.

Highlands Retreat is a great place to camp with great views. We had the place to ourselves, excepting wildlife on the property such as horses and the host was helpful and friendly. There was a basic toilet at campsite 1 and 2 but better if you are self sufficient. Some dirt roads leading in but nothing too major a as you can get a 2wd in reasonable weather. Our two dogs were able to be off leash most of the time but are well behaved.

Absolutely loved everything about this place. We stayed at campsite 1. The views are stunning, there's a drop toilet and shed to prepare your food with a huge area all to yourself. Communication with Brendan is easy with quick response. Ken's a great host. Loved having a chat with him. Will be back

We loved camping at Highland Retreat. The view was spectacular and the host family were kind and helpful.The campsite was well kept and even had a table & few chairs.Definitely will be back again with some friends.

The campsite sits on a ridge and overlooks spectacular scenery towards the NSW border. The campsite is spacious, clean private, so silently peaceful. Beautiful sunsets around the fire pit. It was very windy and cold during our stay ( early August) but last couple of days were a beautiful clear introduction to spring days. Very friendly caring hosts.

This campsite is better than I could have imagined! The view and the space you have on campsite 1 really does make this one of the best sites iv stayed at! We had an incredible afternoon playing games, patting the horses and sitting around the fire. The next morning waking up above the clouds was a literal dream. 10/10 recommend

Lovely little spot at campsite 2! Gorgeous views and perfect fire pit to get cosy around. We had a great time! We managed without a 4wd but if it was wet we would have struggled. We will definitely be back!

The most epic camp spot at site 1 with the most beautiful view . Large open area with plenty of room to set up. Toilets and firewood at the site . Great communication from the host . We can’t wait to come back
