Best for self-contained campers. There are no toilets, showers, or potable water at this Hipcamp.
We have 4 private campsites located near a dam for your enjoyment.  Relax, unwind and listen to nature. There is the good mix of shade provided by trees as well as open sunny areas. This campsite suits self-contained campers who bring their own toilet, shower, and water. (There are no facilities on site) Large open area for outdoor activities. Pets welcome however must remain on leash at all times. Not to chase horses or wildlife.  *Please notify us if bringing a dog*  Please note, we are an active hobby farm and as such you may hear the tractor etc in the distance as we do odd jobs around the farm. Please do not feed the horses as some have strict dietary requirements. Please leave the campsite as you found it for the next camper. Fires permitted in fire-rings provided or in an above ground firepit. Check for local fire ban restrictions first. Free firewood to collect and use in firepit provided. No parties or large gatherings, but happy for small family groups. Perfect location for a quick weekend getaway from the city. Only 40 minutes from Brisbane and a short distance off the Warrego Highway.   Things to do - Fishing  - Kayak or Swimming in the dam is ok, please check in the water for depth and sticks - The creek is seasonal, only flowing after good rain. It will dry up in some conditions.  - Follow the walking trails for bush walks to spot the wallabies, kangaroos and some beautiful birdlife. - Kids can ride their bicycles along the trails. - Ewenique hobby farm is located roughly 500m up the road, great animal farm for kids to enjoy.  - Wivenhoe, Somerset Dam in the area for water sports

This is a large open grassy area on the bank of a dam, perfect for swimming, kayaking and fishing. Ideal for large caravans or setups. There is a firepit for campfires and guests are welcome to collect firewood off the ground. Guests must be self contained as there are no facilities on site. Price per night includes up to 4 people.

Kookaburra camp is a small site situated on the wall of the dam and overlooks the dam. Perfect place for swimming, kayaking or fishing. Access is via forest corridor over the dam wall. Due to the limited access over dam wall site is ONLY suitable for high clearance vehicles or 4x4. Not suitable for low profile vehicles. Rooftop tent setup or ground tent etc.

Wallaby camp is a smaller site, situated on the edge of a seasonal creek. The site has a flat area and then slopes down towards the creek. The site is high and dry. This site is best for privacy, nature views and sounds and is suited to a tent setup, camper trailer or small offroad caravan.

This is a large, flat, open grassy area. It is our most secluded and private site, surrounded by bush and nature. Suitable for larger groups. Ideal for camper trailers, tents or rooftop tents, (No caravans). Access is limited through a small forest corridor and over a dam wall. High clearance vehicle or 4x4 vehicles recommend. There is a firepit for campfires and guests are welcome to collect firewood off the ground or allocated firewood area. Guests must be self-contained (own toilet/shower) as there are no facilities on site.
