The grounds and gardens of the camp were beautifully kept and as I was the only camper there it had a nice sense of privacy.
The absolute best part about this spot was the hosts, Terry and Yvonne. Terry warmly greeted me as I arrived and he offered to give me a tour of Yeppoon as I said I was headed out to look around by myself. We had a great afternoon and I felt he really went above and beyond what would be expected at any camp. Later in the evening we met up for a beer and a chat, along with Yvonne, and they were great company.
The downside of the place was the wifi, which only stretched to just outside the rec room and not to the campsite at all. Also, if other people were camping, the showers would’ve been awkward as there were two showers, both in the same cubicle, only 2 flush toilets (2 more eco toilets elsewhere) and it all was unisex.
The price was also a little high for what I’ve been paying but Terrys tour made that worth the price alone.
