Relax beside a beautiful spring-fed creek with a rainforest backdrop while clouds float by. We have one private creek site with or without power, you will have the place to yourselves. Amenities are at the main residence up the hill, a shower fee per stay applies. We are not a commercial campground, BBQ and fire pit areas setup for your use at the site and firewood is readily available at fee. The property is located 880m above sea level and 11km up Dalrymple Road in Eungella. The property entrance is concealed and on the left there are three wellie bins opposite a traffic mirror. The front gate is on your left and has a Land for Wildlife sign attached, the gate is aways locked. We have a 150 acre property, 50 acres of which is rainforest with a magical creek winding through it. Rainforest walks have been marked or you can just follow the creek and discover secluded swimming holes with small waterfalls. There are leaches in the rainforest and we recommend that you bring insect repellent and adequate hiking gear. During November firefly´s drift through the property at dusk. Rosellas, King Parrots and Finch's are popular on the property and Cockatoos make a regular visit. Access to the property is by booking only, we recommend, 4WD and AWD during the wet season and if towing but 2WD is ok during the dry times. High clearance caravans up to 9m are ok. Campers are preferred to bring their own amenities and all waste has to be collected and taken off the property. Washing machine and dryer are available for a fee. This is a dog and horse friendly property. We have many ground feeding birds, wallabies and request that animals do not wonder unattended. Please note that we have parasite ticks on the property and recommend that you give your pet a tick treatment prior to arriving. We have no mobile phone coverage on the camp site, limited coverage if you drive up the hill at the highest point. Internet is available at the main residence for emergencies.The property is located 880m above sea level 11km along Dalrymple Road in Eungella QLD. Eungella National Park is boarding the property. Nights can be cold and rain sometimes unpredictable. There are leaches in the rainforest and we recommend that you bring insect repellent and adequate hiking gear. Some wildlife walking tracks have been marked and new tracks are always being explored. Bird watching, sighting the native animals throughout the property. Forest bathing in the rainforest is a must. Up on the high area in the middle of the property you can watch the sunsets. Eungella National Park is bordering the back of the property and Platypus watching a short drive to Broken River. Fishing and water sports at Eungella Dam. Mountain bike riding in the area and a hiking trail at Mt Dalrymple. Group bookings are available on request and best of all is that all children 12 and under stay for free.

The property is located 880m above sea level 11km along Dalrymple Road in Eungella QLD. Eungella National Park is boarding the property. The creek site is a large area with shallow and deep swimming holes. The bank is great for relaxing and watching the wildlife. There is an area upstream were the kids can kayak. Fantastic location, beautiful creek for a dip right near the campsite. The site is well set up with a picnic table, hammock/chair and multiple options for a fire. Amenities are just a few hundred metres away. Hosts were helpful when required but left us alone otherwise.

Absolutely beautiful spot. The host's were wonderful and have thought of everything. There's even a bush walk. Highly recommend There's no reception which is honestly amazing to just switch off in paradise

Very accommodating stay with lovely owners who made us feel comfortable and welcomed into their slice of paradise. Tony has set up a great area with amenities and means of cooking over fire close to the creek which ticked all boxes. We purchased 2 nights of firewood which was more than enough for us with plenty left over. Would recommend and plan to return in future

Really loved the high altitude and the feeling of being in a different world compared to the coast. Very private and peaceful, while enjoying the quiet sound of the water running over the rocks in the creek. Loved every bit, including Tony taking me on a tour over the creek through the rain forest to the back of property in his buggy. Absolutely enjoyed my stay.

Unfortunately rained a lot heavier than predicted meaning we had to leave halfway through our stay (not much you can do about that), but a heads up on just how wet it had been or even an offer to reschedule from the host would’ve been cool. Can see it being nice in the dry but it’s also a lot closer to the main house than we expected. On arrival host came down and told us if we need anything to sing out and then told us to watch the grass when we leave which we found a bit odd given it was pissing down. Weather aside probably not the best spot for us personally, on such a massive property you’d probably prefer an unpowered site somewhere a bit more secluded.

A hidden gem. Tucked away from everyone and everything. So peaceful and tranquil. Sheree and Phoenix were so welcoming and helpful. Well worth the drive.

Perfect get away from it all property site... great camp-site right next to rainforest flowing stream ...very refreshing to get in to really cool down or also a hot water shower and septic toilet avail...so great Aussie mountaintop rainforest camping with some lovely conveniences... the mountain air is so so refreshing... great marked out easy to do grade Max 2 rainforest walks.... lots of bird life and we spotted a few birds that are just hard to observe at other places... amazingly not a single fly and hardly a mozzie... pwrjapd we got lucky ... the hosts are so helpful and fully respected our privacy while we did haave a couple of chats about their property.. A normal 2wd can access with sealed roads upto 2km to gate of property but the drive up steep Eungella Mountain range roaf whole well sealed might be a challenge for some less experienced drivers as it is steep and toght curves .. but it is well maintained.. also likely to be platypus to observed in the creek as there are some Playpus in nearby Broken River..just remember to take warmer clothes as it does get very cool overnight but the days are lovely and stunning at this property ... my wife and I fully recommend without resetvation this hipcamp site ... .. insiders note ask the owners for direction to nearby off road Eden Cafe we have been there previoulsly and the coffee and burgers theit are both tops.

What a truly magical place! Everything you could want and more, I only wish I stayed longer. Beautiful flat grassy area to park up, in which you feel nestled by the forest, pristine creek & even better if you wander through the rainforest to the waterfall swimming hole. Had the luxury of a cloudless night so there was blankets of stars to see in the sky and watching the moon rise was such a special experience. The air is fresh, with crisp evenings & mornings. Hot tip is to get cosy by a fire at dusk & bring warm bedding/ clothing. You can hear the flowing water while you’re sleeping and frogs croaking as you melt away. Sheree and Tony are both lovely, who warmly invite you on their property making you feel right at home. I will 100% visit again. Thank you so much 😊

This is a beautiful, quiet and peaceful place. Very well maintained. The creek is crystal clear and sounds so soothing especially at night when you’re drifting off to sleep. There’s plenty of room to stretch out and relax. There’s a fire pit and an old wood stove, so keeping warm and or camp cooking is a breeze. Tony can provide wood if needed for a modest price. The hiking trail is great and leads to a great water hole to swim in. It’s a little challenging but worth it when you get to the swimming hole. Make sure you wear appropriate hiking shoes and clothes. And take plenty of bug spray for ticks and leeches. Over all our new favorite camp.

Friendly and welcoming host. Picturesque, grassy site beside a rocky, flowing creek with clear mountain water. Shady walks through the rainforest, with opportunities to view a range of magnificent trees, birds, fungi etc. Listen to the sounds of the bush. Road out is steep, so may require low range to exit the property, depending on the weight of your camper, if towing.

Perfect Tranquil rainforest to relax and unwind. I love the walking tracks, especially to be able to bring our fur baby to walk through the rainforest. We also saw a platypus!

We absolutely loved camping on this land! The private area, creek and trails are incredible. Would highly recommend this site to anyone wanting to unwind or explore! The host was very accommodating, informative and helpful making sure our stay was as best as possible.

Was a great place to stay, good spot near the creek, well and truly out of the way. Hosts were fantastic, supplied us with plenty of firewood and great amenities, and our dogs had a ball. We will definitely be back there

Camping on Tony and Sheree's property was a lovely getaway from the city. The rainforest nearby and lovely host and amenities made the stay very relaxing and uncomplicated. Would definitely recommend a 4WD as the roads are quite slippery when it rains, but it was still a relatively easy drive to reach the property. The creek and hiking trails are absolutely worth checking out, however the warning about leeches is no joke so be prepared to fight them off. Long pants and sleeves are a must. All in all we would definitely recommend staying with Tony and Sheree and will likely be back when we next get a chance.

My partner and I throughly enjoyed the stay! Such an amazing spot as well as very secluded. The property owners were very lovely and welcoming! Having been setup right next to the creek made it feel very relaxing. We will most definitely be back!

Tony and Sheree have set up an amazing campsite that's both beautiful and private. The amenities are awesome—hot showers included. A lovely creek runs through the site, and there are fun bush walks that lead to stunning swimming holes. They've got a picnic table, camp oven, and fire pits right at the campsite. It's perfect for camping with dogs. Definitely a 10/10 recommend!

Absolutely beautiful place! I honestly wish we could have stayed all week it was such a lovely stay. Loved that there was a picnic table, access to a private creek and a nice fire pit! Tony was very hospitable and brought some firewood and gave us a tour of the rainforest, it was amazing to hear about and explore the area! Such a bonus having toilets & a shower and electricity/van hookup too. Highly recommend!

It was very peaceful, relaxing and well kept with everything we needed and more. We absolutely loved the rainforest and the feeling of being so far away from the normal camping situation "packed in like sardines" very personal and the owners were very friendly and inviting. loved it!

The most beautiful property!! The camp site has all you need … a massive fire pit ( Tony gives you a very generous amount of firewood for $10) , toilette , an a direct entry to the creek and adventurous tracks in between the rain forest that we were able to enjoy with our dogs. We will definitely be back!!

One of my favourite camp sites I’ve ever stayed at! The creek next to the camp is so beautiful and peaceful. The property provides so much to explore, with stunning swimming holes, creeks, and waterfalls. The camp is very private and it was so lovely to not have to share a camp ground. Tony is a great host, providing us a tour of his property on his Polaris and a gazebo when it started to rain. This is the perfect campsite to get away and reconnect with nature. We will definitely be back!

What a magical and peaceful place to spend a few days. The campsite was wonderful, right next to a crystal clear running stream surrounded by rainforest. Our hosts Tony and Sheree were very friendly and helpful. We cannot recommend Dalrymple Heights Rainforest Stay high enough.
