Conservation Camping at Maroochy

Pink was really easy to find and if you like a bit of off the beaten track, you’ll love this. So much space!! Fire pits and a level area gave for a lovely quiet stay with a beautiful vista! Little road noise and slept like a log!!

This was a great area to access Maroochydore and surrounds. Unfortunately, there were loads of midgies, which I didn't find out for a couple of days when all of the welts appeared. so it's good if you can handle those bugs.

This spot was a cute little hide away, very quiet with clear spots to pitch your tent or park your campervan/ caravan. I will defenetly be coming back and would recommend to friends. It's a short drive to the beaches and stores aswell which is a bonus :)

Handy location

Close to bike paths, the river and the beach. John Lantry park is nearby for campers who need a water tap. Appreciated the cool breeze here during the hot weather. Thanks Dani

Sunny coast holiday trip

Be mindful that there are a few ticks around in the bush it's definitely worth watching and checking your pups, but besides that it was absolutely beautiful. every morning a family of kangaroos were at our site and very polite magpies always hanging around the fire, there is not walkable access to any water or river but it's not a far drive across the bridge. You have an incredible view of a field looking out towards mount Coolum, it's absolutely stunning at sunset and sunrise. Coming from people who generally live in a polluted s******* town the stars were something to behold, something we'll never forget. Besides the incredible campsite the location is absolutely prime, you were about 20 minutes drive from waterfalls and about five minute drives from kayaking and rivers, of course you gotta stop by the surf and beach and the town mall to feed the fish on your trip and make the most of this town Thankyou very much Dani it was an honour to stay here and we expect to return next year, we left some firewood for the next camper and we hope they enjoy the site as much as we did.

A great place to stay - may seem close to the main road but it’s secluded and quiet. Lots of firewood in the bush to get you through. Nice to wake up to a few Roos enjoying sunrise. There was a slight mess up with the booking dates from our side and Dani accommodated for it!

Really loved camping on Pink and Grass camp, the directions were super clear aswell. The views were amazing and we had all the kangaroos hanging around our campsite in the early morning. Would definitely come back, Dani was also super kind and let us check in a few hours early! :)

We were very disappointed with our stay and feel the listing did not match the reality. Access for our caravan was extremely difficult — the entryway was far too narrow, and we would not have been able to get in at all without help from a neighbour to manage the gate and guide us through. Once onsite, the ground was swampy and the grass was so overgrown that exploring wasn’t possible. Our dog ended up covered in burrs and weeds after only a short time outside, which made it very unpleasant. The listing advertises 16 acres and three defined sites, but in practice all three sites are packed closely together in the same small section. It did not feel private or spacious as described. Overall, this felt misleading compared to the listing. For caravans, wet conditions, or anyone expecting open space to explore, this site is not suitable.

My son and I enjoyed staying the night at the camp ground - we didn't do much exploring- only to gather firewood. We were greeted by kangaroos. We camped in August and it was quite cool at night but still very enjoyable- so bring extra blankets. There were 2- 3 spots to camp that we could see- very flat and clean.

Amazing location, feeling very secluded knowing that it’s right next to the motorway, and very very quiet. Will be coming back in the future for sure. And a lovely surprise for wallabies in the morning, such a treat seeing wildlife.

Good and not so good moments

We definitely had some mixed feelings staying here. We loved the outlook of the property and we did have the place to ourselves. It was great access to Maroochydore and a great dog beach too but it also felt like it was a 1,000 miles away. It is close to the freeway but we didn’t hear it in our caravan. There is a great walkway/cyclepath right near by. Downside was that there had been a lot of rain and it was very, very boggy and wet with many, many midges. Even with spray we still got bitten. Also, we have a 20 feet van and it was quite tricky getting into the main gateway. Also, we were surprised to hear nothing from Dani at all. Only an automated email. Didn’t really matter but it’s unusual at a Hipcamp to not meet the host or hear from them.

Great camp to use as a base to explore the Sunny Coast. Much quieter than a caravan park. The campground was covered with kangaroos each afternoon which was so lovely. Will definitely come back.

Location is in the heart of the Sunshine Coast but you get your own private open space where you feel far away from civilisation. We were also glad to have gravel beneath our van in the rain.

A great place to camp on the Sunshine Coast. We stayed 3 nights and it was close to Maroochydore River and we could see Mount Coolum from our site. Kangaroos visiting during the day and lots of bird life - such a peaceful place.

The person who rents it is not very nice, we weren't sure how to get there and she wasn't that helpful The place itself is not good and doesn't offer anything else, it's too expensive for what they offer There were a lot of mosquitos because it's close to the river

Simple site, no fuss

Site was easy to find and exactly what we needed - just a spot to park overnight. It was pretty overgrown with little gravel left. Looks like not used a lot. We were easily able to drive out 2wd van into the first site (which was the one we booked), but with a lot of rain that day it was very wet on the rest of the site and I wouldn’t have been confident to drive/park anywhere other then the little gravel spot we did find. Too wet for us to have a fire anyway, but would recommend taking own wood if you’re looking to do that as there doesn’t seem to be a deadfall really lying around. We did live the kangaroos hanging out at dusk and dawn!

very over grown needed mowing around fire pit and where you camp. Needs a better marker for where you drive in as if you miss you have to reverse all the way back and branch hanging over drive way made it hard for caravan to get in

Very easy, hassle free. Nice and quiet. If towing a caravan, make sure you swing wide to clear the sides of the driveway and the tree branch. Turning around up the end of the road wasn't an option for us with a larger van. If you overshoot the entry point you will have to reverse all the way back. Would definitely stay here again :)
