Tent in The Forest is a great location to relax, unwind, and take in the serenity of living in the forest. It is also a perfect base for exploring the region. We are nestled in the hillside surrounded by Woondum National Park, Boulder and Mothar Mountains. A comfortable, off the beaten track location in Kin Kin, Noosa Hinterland, QLD. Tent in The Forest caters for those looking to surround themselves in nature. There is no traffic, no one camping beside you, no other than the bird sweet sounds of the forest and all of nature that surrounds you. When you book Tent in The Forest, you are booking the entire camp ground. It is yours to enjoy, explore, entertain, relax, unwind, or catch up on some rest. Tent in The Forest is fully self contained campsite. All linen, bedding, gas top cooker, fridge, and kitchen utensils are here for you to use. There are hammocks, camp chairs, tables, and a dining suite all for you to enjoy. We provide organic toiletries including certified organic soap, hand sanitizer, and toilet paper. Tent in The Forest is an eco friendly camp ground. We use solar power for our 12v systems, gravity fed water, and toilet waste is managed using a drop toilet which is then composted. If you are unfamiliar and want to know more about our off grid power, water, and waste systems please contact us. Outside of Tent in The Forest the beautiful township of Kin Kin awaits you. At the Black Ant Cafe, you will find Jodie Williams and her team make mouth watering food and drinks throughout the day and on Friday nights. Enjoy breakfast daily, grab a bite for lunch, or zero in on there Friday night pizza night, popular with locals and visitors. The Black Ant Cafe also is your one stop shop for essential supplies such as milk, bread, coffee, etc. The beaches of Noosa, including the national parks which surround them can be reached within the hour. Rainbow Beach, Lake Cootharabah, The Everglades, and lots more places to see and do are all within a short drive. There are just too many great places to list here. These two great places are only the beginning of a number of places to visit both locally, and a little further afar. Firepit, private. Please make sure your fire is kept under control. A garden hose is located at the far end behind the bathroom. A tap to connect is located on the right hand side of the hand wash basin at the near end of the bathroom. A fire extinguisher is located in the kitchen under the sink. Please make sure flame is out and no risk of re-igniting before you leave your fire unattended. Contact the owner in case of emergency. In an emergency, call 000 If unsafe to stay, leave property immediately via driveway or other safe way.

We had such a lovely stay! The large tent was spacious enough for two people, and the beds were really comfortable. It was quite warm during the night, but being able to open the windows made a big difference and was really convenient. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed, and the outdoor shower was such a cool experience. One of our favourite parts was sitting by the campfire under the stars and moon — such a peaceful way to spend the evening. As you would expect when staying in the bush, there were quite a lot of mosquitoes and other insects, so definitely come prepared. The owner was very welcoming, showed us around when we arrived, and even helped us to take our things to the tent, which is only about a two-minute walk from where you park. He also told us about some nearby springs, which we were really excited to explore, but unfortunately we ran out of time — something to come back for next time! Highly recommended if you want to experience camping in the Australian bush but don’t have your own camping equipment. You still get the proper outdoor experience, just with a lot more comfort!

We had a lovely stay in a tent in the forest. Communication was very easy from the beginning, and Ian was incredibly responsive and kind. Upon arrival, Ian kindly drove us over to help carry all our belongings and gave us a quick orientation around the tent. We went for a lovely afternoon walk to the nearby waterhole and spent the rest of the day relaxing on the deck, listening to the birds singing and appreciating the beautiful surroundings. There was also a fire pit, although unfortunately we couldn’t use it as it rained that evening. The covered outdoor kitchen was fantastic, with everything we needed for cooking, and the portable fridge made our stay even more convenient. There were salt and pepper available to use; however, there was no cooking oil, and Ian kindly shared some with us. The hot shower was an absolute bonus and something I really appreciated while camping. In the morning, we spent some time relaxing in the hammock and enjoying the beautiful sunshine. I only wish we could have stayed longer. I would definitely come back and highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to enjoy nature without giving up the comforts and conveniences of a well-equipped stay.

We had a fantastic glamping experience at the Tent in the Forest! The thoughtfully designed setup makes it so easy to disconnect and just be in the moment. We especially loved cooking in the outdoor kitchen and starting our days with a hot shower in the crisp morning air. I highly suggest booking for at least two nights to fully soak in the experience.

First time Glampers 🫶

This place is lovely and great for first time glampers. Its very peaceful and is a great spot to escape the city life. The outdoor kitchen space is very nice and extremely convenient with fresh water, stove and Fridge. The bathroom was also very convenient with the compostable toilet and gass shower. Ian has also painted spots on the trees located behind and up from the tent that lead to some secluded water holes. The walk is so nice and the water would have been incredible but unfortunately there hadn't been any rain so we couldn't swim in them. But still a lovely walk through the bush! There is a little town called Pomona that is about 30 minutes away and it has such a wonderful energy about it. I instantly fell in love with the simplicity and beauty. Make sure to pack, wood, fire starters and kindling Power banks - charge your torches and electronics. BRING YOUR OWN PILLOW, trust me. All and all, this place is great and definitely recommend.

Adored the hell out of this place, the views and the echoing silence of nature blew me away. The nature around us was pure bliss, would recommend taking a few extra solar or battery leds as it does get quite dark and you will not be able to see if the lights provided run out of power. If you are wanting a technology free getaway surrounded by nature this getaway is the one for you. Ian is very welcoming as a host, highly recommend booking through him for the perfect location!

Great spot! Lots of birdlife and wildlife. Really nice and private. Loved that it was so eco-conscious as well with the compost toilet/shower. Awesome way to truly disconnect and be in nature. Plus outdoor kitchen/bathroom :)

Rustic glamping alone and in nature

On the slope of a hill surrounded by nature just what was described and that’s exactly what we got. Clean linen and comfy beds and all the basic utensils needed. Bring insect repellent, mozzies appear after dark. Waking up to the sound of the dawn chorus of bird song was a treat.

Beautiful tranquil place to stay in the middle of the forest. Tent was very comfortable and facilities had everything you needed for your stay. Very peaceful and enjoyed a delicious Thai meal cooked by Ian's wife. Thank you again Ian and I'm sure we will be back in the future.

Amazing experience!

That was a truly amazing experience. We absolutely loved it. We had our own private rock pool and waterfall a little hike away, a fire, comfy beds,. fairy lights and the view was beautiful. Ian the host was a top bloke, showed us around and was really hospital. I would definitely go back here and its really something you need to experience. At one with nature 😍

Beautiful location, peaceful, private. The thought and effort that has gone into creating this camp is astounding, down to the smallest details. We were very happy and appreciative. Hipcamp can be hit and miss, as we have learned, but this one is all that it promises to be, and more. Very highly recommend.

Wonderful view from the campsite across the forest, beautifully secluded and surrounded by nature. Aromatic plants all over the campsite and property, and lots of wildlife drop in to say hello. Moderately hard walk to the rockpools, make sure you bring a backpack and water for the hike. Always ask for a Thai dinner while you’re there, you will regret it if you don’t!

Such a beautiful set up. Absolutely loved our stay. Everything was so comfortable and made for a really relaxing weekend getaway. Not too far from Pomona - had a lovely visit to the weekend markets. Also, the best Thai food in Australia made by Ploen.
