Yarrawin is 680 acre cattle farm and hardwood timber plantation in the heart of the Nambucca Valley, offering scenic, secluded, private campsites with their own swimming hole and a river gravel beach on 3km of beautiful double river frontage. Camping options include riverside camps, the Shack and riverside camp and a large secluded valley. Each campsite is separate from the others, giving guests privacy and exclusive use of the swimming hole (except Chinamans Valley) at their site. All riverside sites offer a natural gravel beach entry into the water. There are no amenities here, campers will need to be self contained and leave no trace. Every site has a fire pit which must be used for campfires. If you want to use your own it must be off the ground. Only sand mats or similar, NO TARPS, to be set up on the grassed areas to preserve the grass. Firewood $20/night (CASH ONLY PLEASE). Please let us know in advance if you want firewood. Beautiful drinking rain water is available in a 20lt Jerry can if required on arrival. Bird lovers can enjoy watching the various bird varieties, as well as ducks. Animals include wallabies, goannas, deer and fish as well as cattle and stock horses. Fishing is okay but it is STRICTLY catch and release ONLY. There are many places to go bushwalking, either following the river or heading up the valleys or hiking up the hills through the trees. The property is just 10kms from the convenience of Bowraville, a historic township with a supermarket, folk museum, a war museum, a historic theatre, and other historic buildings. Nambucca Heads and the beautiful surrounding beaches are just 27kms east and Coffs Harbour 80kms away. Please note this is a working farm, so there will be cattle and stock horses on the property that may approach your campsite.

If you need more shade in the middle of the day - Top Flat or Middle swimming hole sites may be more suitable. There is running water and a deep, exclusively yours, hole for swimming and gravel beach with a few shady trees beside the river. The site accommodates caravans, camper trailers, roof top tents, tents. There are no amenities here, campers will need to be self contained and leave no trace.

This site offers a large, level, sunny grassed area with some shade trees. There is clear, running water for swimming or relaxing and a river gravel beach. You will enjoy a deep, large, private water hole, (exclusively yours during your stay), with rock bars at the start and the end. The site has easy access to accommodate caravans, camper trailers, roof top tents, tents. There are no amenities here, campers will need to be self contained and leave no trace. Please take ALL your rubbish with you when you leave (do not leave any rubbish in the fire pit)

This is our family's favourite camping spot. It has a grassed area of the river flats and a large level gravel area next to the creek. It is very private and sheltered and provides more shade than the other camping sites. There is running water for swimming or relaxing under the shady trees beside the creek and a moderately deep, exclusively yours, swimming hole with big rocks. The site accommodates off-road camper trailers, roof top tents, There are no amenities here, Campers will need to be self contained and leave no trace.

The campsite is situated beside shallow water running over river gravel into the, exclusively yours, swimming hole with the fire pit on the river pebble beach. This campsite is private and, as the name suggests, is located beside the beautiful creek. There is shade close to the water as well as plenty of sunny space to spread out. There are some areas of shallow water to paddle in and near the rock crossing is a lovely deeper spot for swimming. 4wd and 2wd vehicles can access this site, though as always, we recommend 4wd.

The Shack and Swimming Hole

For smaller off road caravans, camper trailers, 4wd/rooftop tents, swags/tents. The Shack is an 8m x 8m uninsulated rustic building with timber floors situated on top of a small hill with amazing views over the flats to the river that wraps around. (I recommend you click on the cover photo to see more clearly - the entire area from shack to river is your own private space). It is equipped with battery powered led lights, lounges, table/chairs and a sink. There is now a rainwater tank attached allowing access to drinking water at the kitchen sink. Outside there is a large fire pit complete with log seating. The Shack is at the top end of our property, is extremely private and protected, surrounded by hills. Water runs shallow over river pebbles to a deep, private swimming hole a short stroll across the private grassed area. A little wooden bridge over a gully near the shack will take you to a pit toilet. Ideally suited for a large group that want to camp around the river bank and use the shack as a communal area or shelter from rain. There are no amenities here, campers will need to be self contained and leave no trace.

Chinaman's valley

A private, scenic (the photos show the various season changes) and protected 24 acre flat valley floor bordered by our hardwood plantation on both sides. A seasonal creek runs down the eastern side with shallow water holes. There are numerous shaded camping spots particularly at the southern end. Just pick your favourite spot. This is an ideal winter camping spot with a good fire to keep you warm.. There are lots of walks up the valleys and water courses.

This was one of our most fav weekends away. This site was amazing and had the kids and adults playing in the creek all weekend. We will be back. The owners were so welcoming and made up feel right at home.

Our family had the absolute best time. The grass was cut, no animal poop, fire set up ready (we bought wood), creek was sensational - we saw a platypus and a turtle. So much space in the camping area so our 2 & 4 year old could run around. Cows and horses came and visit us - our little one was able to pat a friendly horse. Owners are both so nice and had some yummy brownies for us on arrival. There is not one thing I can say as a negative about this campsite. We will 100% be back!!

The Shack and Swimming Hole
Absolutely perfect spot. Totally pristine. Beautiful pasture to camp on. No bindi's no prickles so spent most of the time barefoot which is how camping should be!! Great little shack available to cook, relax and play cards in, or just to talk and be really comfy. Dogs had a ball swimming in the river, I love that they are allowed off lead. Perfect for a very busy Australia Day long weekend as we felt like we were the only guests there. Can't wait to visit again.

Great spot along the creek with good views and a nice shallow swimming hole for the kids. Site was nice and level with quality firewood and fire pit provided. The kids loved seeing the horses roaming around the paddock. The site felt private and was great to kick back and relax over the long weekend. Hosts were laidback and friendly providing a stress free experience. Would definitely recommend a stay at Yarrawin camping. Oh and brownies were delicious! Cheers.

Absolute stunning place to camp.The weather wasn't the best but hey thats part of camping. Hosts Ian and Bobbie were awesome and, as so many previous campers have confessed the home made brownies that Bobbie made for us were beautiful. Great Hipcamp with lovely hosts Bobbi and Ian such a beautiful farm with horses and cows roaming, turtles in the river and a great swimming hole, so much to do around the area within an hr, perfect getaway to unwind, no mozzies and hardly any flies, just perfect highly recommend

Creekside Camp
We stayed at the Creekside camp with our 2 kids and we loved our time! This site had just enough shade, plus a lovely breeze. The creek was low, but there was a little swimming hole that was just deep enough for the kids to play in and us to cool off in. I definitely think this site is the perfect one for families travelling with young kids or toddlers. The cows were also hilarious, and we had a very amusing morning waking up to one very curious calf unzipping the tent! Ian and Bobbie were so accommodating, the kids especially loved Ian’s treasure hunt and Bobbie’s brownies :) The whole property and the sites were beautifully maintained. It really was just a lovely place to stay. Thanks for having us! We will definitely be back.

We loved our stay at THE waterhole ❤️ The site was spacious and flat with a beautiful swimming hole. The property is stunning and the hosts are so lovely. We particularly loved how far apart each of the camp sites are as it felt like we had the place to ourselves. Shade is limited so definitely bring your own shade.

What an amazing slice of the Aussie bush! Yarrawin Creekside Camp is truly something special. Ian and Bobbie are incredibly welcoming hosts, and Bobbie’s brownies were a delicious and much-appreciated surprise on arrival. Our campsite was beautifully private, well maintained and complete with our own little rapids and waterhole, absolute bliss on the hot days. We had so much fun watching the cows and kangaroos, with the curious cows stopping by every day to inspect, sniff, and even lick our van! The dogs loved every minute exploring the 600 acres, and nights were just as magical. Searching the creek for eels, frogs, and turtles before settling in by the campfire. We honestly have to say this is one of our favourite camps we’ve stayed at. We were so grateful we could extend our stay, though sad to leave and make way for the next lucky campers. We’ll definitely be back and will be recommending Yarrawin Creekside Camp to everyone we know!

Amazing place and thank you for having us, great shallow areas for our toddlers to swim and a nice deep water hole to swim for us. The grass was so nice I don’t think we wore thongs for the 3 days we were there. Oh and the kids loved the brownies bobby baked for us!! Such a relaxing spot, highly recommend

Greeting you as you enter the farm are Bobby and Ian with home made brownie's and a welcoming that is sure to give the country feels. The camp itself is picture perfect with a stream water holes and flat sites. Green pastures with roaming cows, calves and horses that greeted us in the morning. recommend getting the firewood and sitting out under the stars. Thank you for having us Bobby and In, we will be back !

Our stay at Ian's Hipcamp was everything we dreamed of and more. The camping spot is perfectly situated right on a beautiful, winding creek, offering the ultimate private escape. We were able to set up our camper right on the sandy bank, giving us direct access to the water for swimming and relaxing. The location is incredibly picturesque, featuring a stunning contrast between the lush, dense greenery lining the river on one side and an open, sunny field on the other. It feels wonderfully wild yet totally accessible. ​A huge shout-out to our incredible hosts, Ian and Bobbie! They were so friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. They even surprised us with a batch of homemade brownies—such a thoughtful touch that truly elevated our stay. If you're looking for a truly peaceful, secluded experience to disconnect and enjoy nature, this is the place. Ian and Bobbie have created a hidden paradise—we can't wait to come back!

We absolutely loved this camp, it was private, quiet and peaceful. The swimming holes were great with lovely water and fun zip lines. Ian, Bobbie and their friends were amazing and willing to help out every day (plus there were delicious brownies on entry). There was so much space and beautiful views. We cannot recommend staying here more.

We loved this HIPCAMP. On arrival we were greeted by Ian. He had already got our campfire 🔥 ready to light. He also had a delicious chocolate brownie for us for dessert ( everyone gets this little treat ) This campsite was lovely and green. Ian had cleaned up all the 🐄 💩 too The creek was cool but lovely and clean, We strolled the paddocks and met all the livestock 38 babies 🐄 A quiet and relaxed few days spent here You need to be self sufficient & firewood 🪵 is available to purchase. Thanks for having us Bobby & Ian

We had an amazing weekend stay. Ian was a fantastic host: welcoming, helpful, and respectful of our space. The campsite itself is a peaceful haven. We swam, fished, and even spotted turtles in the creek – a magical experience for the kids! The rope swing was a huge hit, and the dogs loved having the freedom to roam safely. Friendly cows wandered through our site, curious but gentle, adding to the charm of the place. If you're looking for a relaxed, nature-rich getaway with space for kids and pets to explore, this spot is a gem. We'll definitely be back!

The location was really great as were the hosts. Nothing was a problem and we even got a visit from a few inquisitive farm horses asking for carrots.
