Wootton Arabian Stud Farmstay

This place is special. We’ve been a few times now and can honestly say it’s one of the best hipcamps with one of the best hosts we’ve come across. This particular ridge is a bit further away from everything but is our favourite. Sun in the morning, shade in the afternoon, and at the top of a hill so it doesn’t get too wet if it rains. You may struggle to get to the top in rain with a heavy caravan or without a proper 4wd which is a consideration. Linda was a fantastic host as usual. Our toddler thoroughly enjoyed seeing Barney the pig, the horses and the dogs. Linda was very accomodating, gave us fresh eggs and let us spend as much time as we wanted seeing the animals. This is a place we’ll be coming back to for years to come.

Our second time celebrating my husband’s birthday at Lisa’s beautiful land. She’s truly one of a kind, always so lovely, welcoming and caring, and always making sure we feel comfortable and at happy. Beautiful nature, a fresh water dam for a swim, horses, wallabies and only a short drive to Seal Rocks, where we spent the morning at the beach swimming. Stunning stargazing at night. Couldn’t ask for more. Looking forward to coming back.

Camping with the horses

This is a great campsite. It's off grid camping, but super surroundings. Heaps of space and no other camp sites near each other. The horses roam freely and are very friendly. Three separate ridges up the valley to walk around. The dam has a platform with ladder for ease of entry and exit from the water and is a good swimming hole. I'd recommend 4WD for access. Suitable for all sized vehicles.

The spot is located at the back of the property and up on the high hill. Its such a private and beautiful spot with lots of wildlife.

Such a gorgeous property! The sites are nicely positioned away from each other and surrounded by beautiful bush land. The drop toilet was really clean and well looked after. We all agreed the dam was the nicest we’d swam in!

Our third visit to this wonderful place...and on a 38C day the dam was much needed and so gorgeous! We also loved our interactions with the very cheeky horses and Barney the pig. Great spot, super quiet, lovely toilet. Perfect pre-christmas chill out time...

The MOST Beautiful Space & Stay

Linda’s land and horses and animals are absolutely truly phenomenal. Linda is such a beautiful soul who was so welcoming and accomodating towards us (and gifted us eggs on our arrival) and showed us the best spot to camp on her beautiful property. The drop toilet is well maintained and clean. The property is absolutely beautiful to wander in, swim in the damn, say hello to the horses who approached our campsite multiple times each day (Freddy the Shetland did try to steal a sponge, nothing is safe!). Bo, my beautiful dog was able to say hi to the horses, Linda’s dogs, the pig and explore the property, both him and my mum had a wonderful, beautiful stay 100/10, it was magnificent! I cannot wait to come back! 😊

This was our second year visiting Linda's property and again have loved every second of it. Each camp site is far enough away from each other that you still feel like you are solo camping, the views are beautiful and Linda herself is cheerful and welcoming. Can't wait for our next visit!

Awesome Footy trip

Linda is an incredibly accommodating host. We stayed for our annual footy trip and all the boys had an awesome time! We had some loud music on but always turned it down respectfully as it got later. The property has heaps of space to spread out and enjoy yourselves. We played a few big games of cricket and even managed to set up a slip ’n’ slide for a laugh. 10/10 — would absolutely recommend!

This was our second visit and again we had an amazing time, Linda showed us directly to our site which was on top of the hill looking down into the valley, the closest camper to us was far enough away to keep things very private, a huge collection of timber was available and we were pleasantly surprised to see a new toilet available, we will definitely be back

Amazing property! All campsites are spread out and private. Beautiful bird life and horses that come into your camp for a pat. Linda was very accommodating and friendly. The only downfall was that the toilet was not nearby.

The perfect farm stay experience

This was one of our favourite farm stays! The properties is spacious and well cared for and Linda was hospitable and lovely and provided really clean instructions and set up advice. We stayed at Damn View #1 for two nights and some highlights included ; the friendly roaming horses (and Barney rubble the pig) popping to say hi, swims in the damn, the clear Milky Way at night, cosy camp fires and beautiful vistas every way you look. There is a clean composting loo and loads of flat space to set up.

My husband and I loved our private camping experience. We also loved the horses coming to visit us and the abundant bird life. Linda (the host) welcomed us with fresh chicken eggs and also plenty of firewood.. We would definitely come again with our dog Daisy.

Private camping with animals galore

We had such an awesome time camping here. Such a peaceful spot, with the most beautiful animals. Between the friendly horses hanging out with us in the morning, the most gorgeous pig, wallabies passing by and stunning bird life, this was by far my favourite camping experience as far as animals go. We loved the peace and quiet and how far apart the campsites are spaced. Linda was so welcoming and generous of her time, showing us around.

Peaceful, Private, and Beautiful

Linda’s property is absolutely amazing! From the moment we arrived, she made us feel so welcome. The land is expansive and peaceful. You can’t even see other campers, even though you know they’re out there, which made it feel really private. We woke up to stunning views overlooking the pond from our campsite, which was such a serene way to start the day. One of the highlights was getting to see a couple of friendly horses roaming nearby. it was such a unique and lovely experience. Highly recommend staying here if you’re looking for a peaceful getaway surrounded by nature.

Poor host interaction

I would have given this property a good rating had it not for a very unpleasant interaction with the host. There was an incident of me being in my swag asleep and all 11 horses crowded around me (obviously this didn’t make me feel safe) and I messaged the host asking for advice to ensure my safety. The response I got was very rude and dismissive, saying if I’m scared of livestock then I shouldn’t have chosen her camp. the camp is inside the horses paddock, they have full reign inside your camp. If you’re using a swag ensure you have barriers on all sides to protect you.

The perfect Hipcamp for families

We are family of 4 with two boys 5 and 10 and we couldn’t have asked for a better Hipcamp experience. Full score from us! Very large property, lots of space between sites - we barely saw the other campers. Our kids loved watching Barney (giant pig) come down for his morning swim with Linda and the dogs each morning. The horses were so gentle and pleasure to have around. Beautiful hinterland area, and within 45min of Seal Rocks and Blueys etc. we already said we are going back with friends next time. Thanks Linda for a magical stay!
