Welcome to Ventricosa, a peaceful bush retreat set on 40 acres of native forest just outside Tomerong on the NSW South Coast. Nestled between the beaches of Jervis Bay and the rolling hinterland of the Shoalhaven, our camp offers a tranquil escape surrounded by towering gums, native orchids, and the sounds of local wildlife. Our glamping tents are styled for comfort while keeping nature at the forefront. Each is set apart for privacy and features cosy beds, fresh linen, lighting, and an outdoor sitting area to soak up the peaceful surroundings. Shared camp facilities include a rustic camp kitchen, hot showers, flushing toilets, and a central fire pit where guests can gather under the stars. For those who prefer to bring their own gear, we also offer four unpowered campsites suitable for tents, campervans, or small caravans. Each site has access to shared amenities and plenty of space to enjoy the bush setting. Camp Ventricosa is an eco-friendly property powered by solar, with a focus on low-impact, sustainable stays. We’re home to a thriving population of Pterostylis ventricosa, a rare native orchid that inspired our name, so you’ll be sharing your stay with something truly special. Located just 10 minutes from Huskisson and 20 minutes from Hyams Beach, it’s the perfect base for exploring Jervis Bay’s famous white sands, bushwalks, national parks, and wineries. Whether you’re after a quiet weekend in nature or a base for South Coast adventures, you’ll find it here. You might spot kangaroos at dawn, hear kookaburras at sunset, and enjoy a clear night sky perfect for stargazing. Fires are permitted in designated areas when conditions allow. Please keep tents zipped to avoid any curious visitors—both the cute and the not-so-cute! We can’t wait to welcome you to Camp Ventricosa, a place to slow down, reconnect, and breathe in the best of the Australian bush.
